Very authentic place to swim. Always 36deg. You should bring your towel, swimsuit + bag for wet items. Too crowded in summer, very good in October-November or February-March
The pool itself is quite small, there are enough people there. In general, there is a lot to see in Herculaneum, and this place is the center of attraction for tourists. The water is really warm, as there are underground springs everywhere. The bottom of the pool is problematic. There are transverse obstacles in the form of columns about which you can bruise your knees or injure yourself. An open-air museum and salt terraces are within walking distance. Take water with you, it's not superfluous under the scorching sun. Enjoy your stay!
important! Check the opening hours of all museums and so on in third-party services. We read about it in Yandex around the clock, friends who came before us wrote about 17:30. But they didn't let us in at 17:05 (I take pictures after some conversation). That is, you explain that you drove for 4 hours with the children, back the same amount in the dark. We understand the risks of a short stay, which closes after 30 minutes - suits us. They were not allowed in, saying that another office sells tickets at the entrance, and the employees there are not aware of how their schedule is changing😡🤷🏻♀️
Hierapolis itself and the terraces with springs are beautiful. I don't regret coming. The review is specifically for Cleopatra's baths.
