We were at the hotel in early October. The hotel is very cozy, a girl works at the reception, attentive and friendly, she will tell you everything, show you, explain, friendly, it is very pleasant to communicate with such people. The food is homemade, cooked with soul. The territory is a garden of Eden! Bananas, manlarines, oranges, apples, plums, pears, grapefruits, grapes, whatever grows there! Hello, I am writing you a review already from the cold lands, missing Abkhazia… And for the hotel where we lived, thank you very much♥️
The hotel is clean, spacious rooms, its own balcony with a high chair for evening gatherings and views of the stars and the sea, we came across a view of the sea, we are simply delighted. They clean every day, very friendly cool staff, kind and helpful girls at the reception, always prompt and help. We arrived at 10 a.m., and thank you for making concessions and checking in at 12, not 14, the best.
There is a swimming pool, a bar, a beautiful garden, and a walk is the best thing. In the afternoon we were on excursions, in the mountains, etc., but appreciated lunch at the hotel a couple of times. We had three meals a day and I would like to say a huge thank you for it, we remember your pilaf at home, it is wonderful. There is always something sweet and the main food to eat, salads, etc. The food is fresh, everything is neat and beautifully laid out, it is really appetizing. I don't know how to describe the food to you, but the food is very tasty, the hotel is very cozy and the people are great. They sent their parents to you, as soon as they figure out they will go to you.
You have given us a wonderful holiday, thank you very much.
The location is good, if you need to walk 200 meters to it by minibus, it is not critical. All the necessary cities and attractions are nearby, the sea is clean, nothing has been poisoned
Although it stormed a little on the last day, and packs of chips, fruto the nanny, etc., were thrown ashore) therefore, dear tourists, do not litter yourself on the beaches, I think it is unlikely that people who live in Abkhazia will throw packs of chips into the sea. And then we get poisoned ourselves, which is logical. Don't bring this habit to Abkhazia, don't litter this wonderful country.

Nice hotel, 2 rows to the sea, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. The buffet, a good menu, hearty, there was no fruit, this is a minus. Very tasty dairy products:sour cream, cottage cheese, cheese. I have been vacationing at this hotel since 12.09.24. The hotel is really great, clean, cozy. The staff is polite, the rooms are cleaned every day. Kitchen - thanks to Samvel for a very tasty homemade meal. And that's it, the pros are over. There is nothing to do outside the hotel, there is nowhere to go for a walk. The hotel is located in the village, surrounded by cows and dogs. It's close to the sea. The beach is pebbly.

The hotel is located in the village and this should be taken into account when choosing a place to relax, There is nowhere to walk, there is no additional entertainment on the territory, it gets dark early and after dinner there is nothing else to do except go to bed at 7 pm. The territory is small, but clean and beautiful, fruit trees grow, very tasty grapes, there is a small pool in the backyard, the water was not heated. It is close to the sea, literally 2 minutes, the beach is not equipped, the pebbles are not large, there is a canopy, but the places under it need to be occupied early in the morning. The beach itself is quite spacious, I had a rest in September, there was enough space for everyone. The descent into the water is comfortable, on the right side of the beach there are no pebbles in the water, but sand. Since this is a village, there are a lot of livestock, the beach is not fenced in any way and periodically swimming in the sea you see a cow walking past your sunbed. There were no sun beds from the hotel, but right on the beach you can rent both sun beds and all kinds of water accessories (saps, mattresses, circles, etc.).
Food: The food was delicious, I bow low to the cook, my favorites are pilaf and pancakes. For breakfast there were always eggs (boiled or omelet), cottage cheese (casserole or just with sour cream), pancakes several times, cheesecakes, always two types of porridge, cheese, sausage. For lunch, two types of soup, meat, chicken, fish, two types of salad - in general, for every taste. For dinner, they also indulged in pastries. But I want to warn you that if you are used to buffets in Turkey, then your expectations will not be fulfilled here. There is no such choice here, but despite this, everything is very tasty!
I didn't like only the absolute absence of any fruits, and the choice of drinks, only black tea bags or instant coffee (there was an additional compote of dried fruits for lunch). It would seem that we are in a country that is famous for fruits and tea, but neither one nor the other.
Room: The room was cleaned every day, the bed linen was changed once in 10 days. The room is clean and spacious, three towels per person, one large and two small, a large balcony where you could sit and admire the stunning mountain views, there is a rope for hanging clothes. A large closet, there were hangers. TV, refrigerator are available.
Among the disadvantages: two coolers on the 1st floor, and none on the 2nd and 3rd, I had to run back and forth for water (since I lived on the 3rd floor). There were not enough shelves in the bathroom where to put all the bathroom accessories, the locks in the doors are very bad, every time you stand for two minutes, you can't open it, then close it.
To summarize: I liked the rest at the hotel, if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will enjoy nature, and if you are more an active tourist, you need evening walks and bright discos, it is better to choose hotels in Gagra or Pitsunda

Good morning to all! We rested at the Papa hotel for 2 weeks from July 7, we bought the tour from the Bibles, so we had a flight, transfer, hotel. It is very comfortable. I liked the hotel very much: clean, delicious buffet food, spacious room, candeille worked well, internet in the room too. There are 50 meters from the hotel to the beach, there are few people on the beach, the sea is clean, only the only nuance is that the beach is large pebbly, so you need to bring swimming shoes with you or you can buy them on the spot. We would like to thank all the employees of the hotel for organizing our vacation. Everything turned out great. The hotel itself is located in the suburbs of Gudauta, i.e. in the center of Abkhazia, so it is geographically close to go on any excursion. We visited New Athos, Lake Ritsa, Gagra and Sukhum. We got a lot of positive emotions, we bought excursions from a local tour operator, the prices are adequate. If possible, we would like to ask the hotel owner to slightly shift the start time of dinner, for example, 19:00- 21:00, we did not have time after the excursions. Once again, I would like to thank the head and all the employees for our rest. I recommend the hotel to visit, it is good for middle-aged couples with a lot of family experience like us, for families with children of any age, for a romantic trip of lovers.

Hello! We had a rest with the company at the Papa Hotel in July. The impression was not positive... In principle, the hotel is not bad for Abkhazia, but there are many nuances. For example, if you have a late check-out from the hotel, then you are allowed only breakfast. Pick up at the airport approximately 8 hours before departure. The food is edible, but monotonous. And if you are on an excursion, then you are entitled to a lunch box...but you will have to beg for it and they will follow you, whether you really left and how many people. In room 214, there is a terrible smell of sewage in the morning and the TV is not working. The territory is beautiful, but there is not enough cleaning near the pool and the pool itself. The nicest girl Samira works at the bar. There are also nice girls at the reception, they will tell you everything. The cooler is on the floor without heating and cooling water. To the sea 2 min. As a result, the hotel is decent for Abkhazia! We hope to eliminate the comments not only from our guests, but also from other guests. And we will definitely come back) thank you)

We rested at the Papa Hotel from August 16 to 25, 2023, and my son and family also rested with us. I liked everything, accommodation , food, the sea nearby, the pool . We went on excursions and were satisfied. The girls at the reception are friendly, thank them very much for their hospitality!
Special thanks to the chef! We had everything included, food to choose from, everything was delicious, homemade.
The bed linen was changed, towels were provided upon request, thanks very much to the maid!
Of course there are disadvantages:
- I would like the rooms to be cleaned more carefully, it was after departure, for example, we had dirty curtains, this is room 106, and room 103. We had a family vacation (children 10 years old and 2 years old) in August 2022, a great small hotel, hospitable host and staff, everything is clean enough, cleaned every day, for me it's even superfluous))), the food is good, quite varied, you won't see kilometer-long tables of food like in Turkey, but we had enough to eat delicious and varied.
Fruits were bought in front of the hotel from a local elderly couple.
The place itself is quiet, the outskirts of the city, there are no noisy cafes and carousels, but for me this is a plus, the beach is not clean enough, it is shared, and not a specific hotel, we went to the beach to abandoned sanatoriums and were almost alone there.
The bottom of the sea is pebbly, but a meter from the shore there is sand, which is very convenient with small children, you can stand quietly and not throw yourself on the rocks, but the sea is not completely transparent from the sand.
Yes, cows, chickens, dogs and cats walk along the streets, for many it is unusual))) And it's like I'm going back to my grandmother's childhood in the village!
Abkhazia is a gorgeous nature, wild, abandoned and incomprehensible in places, but it is a country of the soul! Someone has a soul for her , and someone does not.

I really liked it, it's not just a place for a great vacation, it's a little paradise on earth)))
Excellent and friendly staff, the rooms are always clean. We spent every evening by the pool in the tangerine garden, very cool. The kitchen was varied and very tasty every day, for which special thanks and a low bow to the chef!!!
The sea is very close, 5 minutes at a calm pace.

We rested from 06/24 for 10 days, for all the time there was only rice, buckwheat, and occasionally pasta. And cutlets, sometimes stewed chicken. The salad is the same every day! Fortunately, the vegetables were always sliced. At least a little imagination can be shown, take the same rice and meat and make pilaf as an option. It would be all right, a buffet, yes, but the administrator is constantly standing in the dining room and how the warden looks at everyone, it's very unpleasant. The rooms themselves are not bad, large, bright. But. The TV does not work in the room, the refrigerator is barely cold, I took sour cream to smear burns, it turned sour there overnight. There is a terribly rusty toilet in the bathroom, as water is constantly flowing, and many also communicated. But a separate surprise awaits me on the last day. While packing my suitcase, I discovered that I had lost the wallet I had arrived with. I had two of them, one with whom I arrived and the second, a small one, with whom I went constantly. It was unnecessary, it was in my backpack all this time, the backpack was just on the floor. They don't have safes. And there was no money in the wallet, but there were bank cards and service cards. I turned to the reception, and the owner and they all said in unison that they could not have such a thing and that was it! Therefore, despite the beauty of Abkhazia, the clean, warm sea, the rest and the impression are spoiled, I will not return here for anything!

Well, first the cons, then the pros. It was 08.24. About the hotel itself, the overall impression is "bad" Wi-Fi is weak, there are stains in the rooms and mold in the restrooms. We stopped by for 7 days, the air conditioner did not work in the room, we asked for 4 days (we fought) whatever they did, the administration didn't care about us, even when they knocked out another number through swearing, they didn't even apologize. (at a personal meeting with the director, he sent us (figuratively) where to go next. And in the other room, the refrigerator was no longer working. Advice, in no case complain about the poor work of the cleaners, because they will personally come to you for a showdown. There are still a few drawbacks, but these are small things. The pros, the cuisine, the dishes are very tasty, a separate praise to the chefs. The pool is pleasant, the water is clean and the bar is good. (however, from the conversation I overheard (of course by accident), I realized that the management did not really want to bother with pool equipment) The situation around the hotel, the sea was dirty, there were a few jellyfish, a lot of cows and dogs "babble" from them, they bark at night and walk in packs. There is almost no entertainment, only excursions. The beach is dirty, garbage and dog poop. Well, the cafe, (there is only one more or less normal) the food itself is delicious, but the locals drink and almost forcibly try to force the visiting girls to dance with them. The hotel itself is not bad, the food is buffet-style, not much, but you can eat, the carpet and plumbing in the rooms are tired, there is cleaning, but only garbage is taken out, linen is not changed, the territory is good, there are small flowers, the pool is open, near the beach but dirty, people of course are to blame for littering but no one cleans up. You can relax, there is food, the sea, there is nothing to see nearby, just somewhere to go.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Papa hotel, that it would be so good we could not even imagine. We booked directly, Alina told us everything in detail. We were accommodated in an improved room, the room is spacious, bright, with all amenities. In 16 days, the bed was changed 3 times. The towel is changed on request. They have carpets in their room, of course they were rarely vacuumed. The kitchen is a bomb, the food is great. Although there is not much choice, but everything is at home, you can eat / overeat. Thanks to the chef! The territory is green, well-groomed, we swam in the pool 3 times a day. There is a new small playground. There is a paid bar on site, homemade wine is delicious. You can also order pizza, barbecue, but we were so full in the dining room that there was no point in buying. The most important thing is to fall to the sea with your hand, it's very close. The beach is rocky, it's hard without shoes. You can buy it there for 500. Only from this hotel to the sea there is a sidewalk, those who were further from the sea walked along the road. Cows and dogs are everywhere, but mines are cleaned in front of the hotel. There are shops nearby, you can buy fruits and water. But more expensive. Thanks for the hospitality, to all the staff.
