Barry Boutique Hotel is a great hotel in the heart of Dadonghai Tourist Bay. Nearby there is everything you need – cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, Winter – Summer shopping center, souvenir shops, pharmacies, fruit stalls, public transport stops. To the sea – 7-10 minutes at a leisurely pace. Free sun loungers are included. The rooms are spacious, with everything you need! Cleaning for 5 + Delicious hearty breakfasts! Breathtaking views from the window! We were 100% satisfied with the visit!
Among the disadvantages are the long wait for the elevator, the lack of a spacious closet and stuffiness in the restaurant during breakfast. But these are absolute trifles that do not spoil the holiday experience at all!

A great hotel, a spacious room, extra space on request, there is a balcony, they clean every day, towels are changed too, there are bathrobes, rubber slippers, and a very hard mattress, a glass partition to the toilet room and a shower. There is a swimming pool on the 6th floor. The staff does not speak Russian. The breakfast is monotonous and Chinese-inspired, but you can eat very tightly. The tallest hotel in the area, such views open from the top floor, just super, there is a restaurant on the ground floor, a supermarket in the basement, there is everything around for recreation, I advise the hotel, it is urban without a territory, you go directly to the street.

The hotel is good, you can rate it at 3+ or 4* on the video of the Pineapple shopping center and the view from the Barry hotel from the 6th floor.

We had a rest from November 19th to December 1st.In general, I recommend the hotel.The room was on the 16th floor with a loggia.In the evening, a beautiful view of the city.The location is great.The sea is 2 steps away, all shopping centers too. Everything in the room is there, cleaning, linen change daily.The only negative is the monotonous breakfast, we got tired of it in 2 weeks.They take a deposit of 5 tr. they return it upon eviction.Excursions were taken from Zoya at the Winter shopping center. I really liked the hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious enough, and the bedding is gorgeous. Towels are changed every day, consumables are also updated. It is better not to order prices for excursions from hotel guides, they are always much more expensive than can be found near the hotel. The breakfasts are always standard, but you won't stay hungry.

The huge advantage of this hotel is its location, there are many cafes around, the sea is nearby, but unfortunately the hotel has no more advantages.
The hotel is old, the rooms are old, more or less clean, but everything is old.
And, most importantly, breakfast… The first time I refused breakfast at the hotel. I'm not picky, this is my first time in China, but if you compare Asian hotels, I was in Thai and in weak 3*, but there was something there. There are a lot of Chinese people relaxing in this hotel, you sit down at the table, they don't have time to clean up, you wipe your table with a wet napkin, crumbs ... it's unpleasant. And there's nothing to eat, just a little bit of the word at all. It's very modest and not for Russians. The Chinese take their usual food, steamed buns, porridge on water and all that kind of their individual. Even elementary bread with butter for breakfast does not bring satisfaction, because the bread is not wheat, corn, or something, but butter like margarine.

Good location, that's where the advantages end. This was our first trip to China. The rooms were tired, the windows did not open, only a few cm, there were limiters. A very specific smell - old age, dampness and local spices.
It is impossible to dry clothes, even socks dried for 2 days. Going down and up the elevator is a whole quest, especially if the room is on high floors. At first you wait a long time, then you climb into an elevator full of Chinese people and stop on each floor. To click on the floor button, you need to attach a map. It's like being on the Moscow metro at 8 a.m. all day long. Immediately put 10 minutes on the elevator.
There is almost nothing for a Russian tourist to take for breakfast. Most of the dishes are incomprehensible liquids and mixtures, something spicy, sour. It's very unusual for us to have breakfast. From a friend, these are noodles and unleavened buns (instead of bread, there is no bread in the Whale). The tea is already brewed. There is no coffee. There were large plates with tangerines and some other fruits, but people immediately surrounded them like wild animals and took everything with them. They left breakfast hungry or didn't eat.
Fortunately, the hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat. Downstairs, there is a coffee shop and a cafe with dumplings. And if you get really bored with Chinese food, then walk for 7 minutes, towards the sea, there is a McDonald's.
If you go very budget-friendly, eat in other places, walk, go on excursions and come only to sleep and wash, then you are here! And if you are eating for a great vacation and relaxation, then this option is not for you.

It was November 2024. A lot has been written. The hotel is already divided into 2 hotels. The lower floors are a different hotel. Barry certainly needs to be repaired. The plaster in our room has fallen off in places. But everything works, the water pressure is 29th good. There was a safe, but not in all rooms. Everything you need is replenished in the bathroom, towels on the beach, the bed was changed for us on request. The cleaning itself is terrible, only in the center of the room, all the rest of the dirt lay first of rest and to the end. The girls' reception is terrible, they don't want to work. The room had windows facing the sea, you can hear everything from the street, even with the windows closed at night. Maybe it's quieter on the other side of the building, I don't know.
Conclusion: if you rest and do not bother, you can go, price is quality, everything is tolerable and tolerable.

Everywhere there is a terrible smell of mold and old age, repairs have not been done for a long time, it is very dirty, glass, furniture and tiles can be seen that no one has washed it for a long time, the furniture is all scuffed, the polishing has exfoliated, corners and edges are broken, old and creaky. The walls are stained and full of holes all over the room, the windows are covered in greasy blurred spots that have not been washed for years. The blankets, pillows and mattresses are old with streaks of sweat and urine, they stink terribly. The curtains are dusty and have not been washed for a long time, the metal furniture on the balcony is all in corrosion, the clothes dryer is in the same condition. There are no slippers. The beach towels have never been changed in a week. Shampoo is not put, only gel. The balcony is not cleaned. There are no Russian channels. The refrigerator freezes badly. The food is bad, the choice is limited, we went 2 times, we don't go anymore. The dining room and dishes are dirty. Unsanitary conditions. Of the positive ones, they are cleaned every day, they give 2 bottles of water and 2 bags of black and green tea, there is no sugar and teaspoons. And this is taking into account the fact that the room is of the Deluxe sea view category. The reception is not provided for a long and comfortable wait. The air conditioning is not working, the staff is smoking right there. The pool is also not suitable for swimming. The hotel has a maximum of 3.

We stayed at the hotel in February 2024. We really liked the hotel, the room was on the 28th floor, everything was clean in the room, towels were changed every day, hygiene kits, water, tea were replenished every day. The breakfasts are very tasty, noodles, steamed buns, mushrooms, delicious sweet beans, coconut milk was always for breakfast, juice. We liked the breakfast, we were never hungry. As for the limited selection of fruits for breakfast, there is a fruit shop downstairs, everything is cheap and delicious there, and they always sell large containers of various fruits for 10 yuan at the sea. The location of the hotel is wonderful, 6 minutes to the sea on the sand beach, there are sun beds from cafes, shops, cafes nearby, the views from the room are wonderful. The reception responds to all requests, I would like to say a special thank you to our hotel guides Roma and Sergey, they helped in everything and always. We stayed in this hotel in November, the room is on the 7th floor, the balcony overlooked the neighboring building, which was closed from daylight and the sun. Room 715 smelled strongly of sewage, so I had to change it. In another room 707, the safe did not work well, it was constantly jammed, the wallpaper was peeled off in some places, the curtains with some streaks. They lived in it, they didn't change it anymore, there was no stink. The room was cleaned every day, towels were often changed, linen was changed a week later. The breakfasts are normal, the restaurant looks like a canteen, the staff speaks Russian, and is responsive.

There is no private beach here, you need to walk to the sea in 7 minutes. In addition, all the beaches here are public, the hotel does not have its own fenced beach, there are no sun loungers or umbrellas on the beaches.
We took our mats, put a towel for the beach in the hotel right in the room.
There are very strong waves on this beach, we never swam, we always went to Xiaodonghai beach by taxi for 17 yuan (10-15 min) from the hotel. The bottom of the Xiaodonghai Sea is rocky, it hurts to swim without slippers.
The hotel does not have a gym, although the description states that it does.
All the furniture is old, the towel rail is broken in the toilet, the bed backs are shabby, they don't give soap. There is no transfer to the beach. It's not that it's not 5*, it's not even 4*. Solid 3*
Cigarette butts are lying everywhere at the reception near the sofa, near the elevators, although everywhere there are signs saying "smoking is prohibited".
There is no safe in the room, the pool is small on the 6th floor.
The hotel does not match the photos at all.

The room was changed twice, and some rooms have a terrible sewer smell. Breakfasts are normal by Chinese standards. We take the elevator to the floor according to the room map, on floors starting from 29 it is quiet and peaceful. There is a small pool on the 6th floor, it was not. The hotel is normal, with children, we paid extra and checked into a 2-room room. The pool is on the 6th floor, open from 10-18 hours.
Cats are given free of charge, sun beds.
Breakfast: fried eggs, noodles, cucumbers, watermelon, sesame balls, rolls with white filling, coffee. We couldn't eat the rest. Immediately at the hotel, fruits are cut, delicious small pineapples, yellow mangoes, bananas, etc.
You can use the elevator from your floor to go down to the 1st floor to the supermarket.
It's 6 minutes to the sea, you can eat on the embankment, but we mostly ate at the Pineapple shopping center in a sushi bar with a swirling wind. 15 mn to Pineapple. Also, Pineapple took bubble tea on the ground floor, ice cream in a waffle on the 3rd floor by the elevator.
Rest for 6 days with children, with hiking.

Overall, I liked the hotel.The rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed.Water and tea bags were also left in the room every day.

Maybe according to reviews in 2019, the service was maintained at the hotel, but in 2023 I fled it with horror and moved to another hotel with an additional payment of 600 USD, which I do not regret.
I have experience traveling to Asian countries with hotels of different stars and it pulls a maximum of a budget three. Thai and Indonesian 3 stars are much better than these 4.
Of the advantages:
Good location
Delicious toothpaste
If you get rooms with sea views, it doesn't seem like a bad view within Dadonghai.
I couldn't find any more advantages.
Minuses:
Terrible dirt, they can't even wash the floors properly in the fae, everything is stained, what can we say about the rooms at all. In fai, you can periodically see cigarette butts on the floor.
The room stock is tired, the windows have not been washed for ages, there is a universal layer of dust under the bathroom.
The staff does not communicate in English at all, this is not terrible, considering that Russian-speaking guides are on duty in hotels, nevertheless, as a fact. The Chinese don't speak much English at all.
Three elevators are not enough for 36 floors. You can wait for it for a long time, especially during peak hours.
The breakfasts are not European, they are aimed at Chinese tourists. It resembles an untidy dining room, you don't want to come there.
The internet did not work on the floor, only in the lobby.
Russian-speaking tourists complained about the pressure of the water and the drain in the bathroom.
As a result, I recommend considering other hotels in Dadonghai with an additional payment of 20-40 thousand and not spoil your vacation :)

Positive:
1. Good view, at least a floor from 30+ on the city.
2. Towels, shampoo, shower gel, and water are changed in a timely manner every day, 0.5 per person.
3. A wide bed, if you put two together.
4. Good location relative to the city/beach/other parts of Sanya. Better than in other bays.
5. Grocery store right in the hotel.
Minuses:
1. Disgusting breakfast, no choice, instead of juice, as if the powder was diluted. From an edible sausage, tomato, cucumber and egg.
2. It is cool at night / in the evenings in December, and the air conditioner does not work for heating.
3. There is no safe and refrigerator, only a cooling cabinet.
4. Some genius, instead of a full-fledged bathroom with walls and a door, came up with just glass partitions. I hope it is not necessary to explain how convenient it is to go to the bathroom in the presence of other people in the room. It's just tin. And some even have a curtain instead of a glass door.
5. Insufficient lighting, we regretted the fixtures on the ceiling.
6. A tiny closet for a family of 3 people.
7. There is not even a bedside table near the beds.
