A very cozy part of the hotel, the best a la carte restaurant shez gourmet is located here, excellent beach, good drinks, spacious room, mini bar with snacks, various evening programs, bars with waiters.
Cons: the choice of food has become poorer compared to 4 years ago, earlier there were several types of crab for lunch and dinner, including lobster, many meat dishes, etc. Now seafood: fish, squid, sometimes shrimp (lobster is in a la carte), in principle, the food is delicious- you won't stay hungry, fresh only for breakfast.
The requirement to wear a mask even in an open bar, while there was only one mask in the room when checking in! And then they didn't bring masks, they gave us another one at the reception and said that next we need to buy masks for $ 1 in the store!

A super place! It's comfortable, delicious, it's not a long drive from the airport. You can use the infrastructure of the entire complex by traveling on steam trains. There are golf courses, there are different birds: peacocks, ducks, flamingos, it's better to go there, it's a very long walk. A gorgeous beach, there is enough space for everyone. Awesome a la carte "Gourmet Chef", with a strict dress code. The others were not impressed. Be sure to try mamahuana! Regarding adults only: a woman with 3 children was placed by the pool, who immediately began to behave very noisily, jumped into the pool, although there is a sign that it is forbidden. Less than 5 minutes later, they were asked to leave.

The beach is gorgeous! There were practically no algae. the atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxing because the hotel is only for adults, there is no fuss, peace reigns! But the evening animation is quite active and fun!
The food is good, I can not say that it is gorgeous, but everything is there, also, if desired, you can use the entire infrastructure of the neighboring Barcelo Bavaro Palace hotel, there is much more territory, but there is more fuss! When we got bored, we took a train to this hotel, ate there, walked, hung out, and then returned to our Beach, and were glad that we chose our hotel! I do not recommend Ala carte restaurants, they were not impressed at all, the wait is long, the dishes are below average. In general, service and maintenance can be better, but you need to understand the local mentality and not be too biased! The Dominican Republic is a wonderful country, and you need to enjoy being there, and not pay attention to minor flaws!

We visited this hotel in August-September 2021, we really liked the hotel. A huge well-groomed territory, an impeccable beach, an incredibly beautiful ocean. Thanks to the location, there are almost never waves, it is always calm! The rooms are large, clean, high-quality cleaning every day. A huge selection of food: you want free themed restaurants - more than six pieces, you want a buffet in shared restaurants. Lots of fruits, fish, meat! And there are also golf courses with incredibly beautiful flora and fauna: turtles, flamingos, ducks, peacocks, storks and more. There is a casino and a pub, as well as shops on site (clothes, trinkets, cigars, etc.)
My rating of the hotel is 10/10, an unforgettable stay!

We are currently resting in this hotel. Arrived on 12/29/21 The beds are comfortable- the mini bar is replenished, everything is simple- the rooms are spacious, the cleaning is average. The food is generally normal- for breakfast you can find jamon, there are Fish and seafood (vongole, shrimp, mussels). The location of the hotel is its main advantage - a beautiful snow-white beach with an abundance of tall palm trees and white sand. In general, this is an ordinary Caribbean 5*- if you want a lux level, you definitely are not here. The service is average- if you want better- tips and tips again. Americans are loved more here - that's a fact.

All Buenos aires! We are currently resting in this beautiful, paradisiacal place, all impressions are only positive and positive, a world-class hotel complex, it is unrealistically cool here.

We stayed at this hotel in January 2022. I liked the large and beautiful territory, golf courses, lakes with different birds. The beach is nice and clean, without algae and without waves, there are always enough sunbeds both at basme and on the beach. The food is good, excellent a la carte restaurants- we went every evening. Our building was the eighth, the farthest from everything / you don't like to walk / you don't need to take it.

An excellent hotel, everything is at the highest level , the hotel has a shopping complex where you can buy everything and do not have to go from tour operators to supermarkets ( all this is a hoax, several times more expensive ), an open shuttle service runs on site along a certain route, since the territory is large ( very convenient ) , the menu is huge , the staff friendly , I especially want to say about the bar near the children's pool , two employees Leonidas Ramirez and Yaritza Martinez work , professionals in their field , always with a smile , friendly , left very pleasant memories ! To my great regret, our vacation ended in the most beautiful place on Earth - in the Dominican Republic.
We took a 12-day tour to the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Hotel. To be honest, I don't quite understand the reviews that the hotel is bad, the beach is bad, there is little choice of food. As for me, the hotel is 5+ and everything is super considering the pandemic.
Let's start from the very beginning, we arrived at the hotel in the morning, at 10 o'clock, we were immediately booked, put on bracelets and told that we could use everything freely, only we would receive the room by 3 o'clock in the afternoon, since there is cleaning and there are no available rooms. We were not particularly upset, since our suitcases were at the reception, we had everything we needed with us. We immediately went to breakfast, the choice is quite large, yogurt, baked goods, omelets, eggs, pancakes, pancakes, sandwiches, sandwiches and other more satisfying food, who is used to having breakfast.
You can freely take cocktails at the bar, go to the beach, to the pool, whatever your heart desires.
At 3 p.m. we were given a room with a view of the ocean, there was no chapel, without any additional charges, it's gorgeous. To clarify, this hotel has almost 80% of the rooms with ocean views, so you can be as lucky as we are. We were told that it was a gift from the Hotel)) it was very pleasant).
[ ] The number, as they say, is from the very beginning. Naturally, like everyone else, before we went, we honored the reviews, looked at the photos, and the photo of the room was initially arranged, we wanted some kind of modernity, but after arriving there, and feeling this special atmosphere of this country, such a desire passed. I wanted to fully immerse myself in the atmosphere of the Dominican Republic, to feel their flavor completely. And here is just this room, in their local style, with wicker furniture. And the bed, you just fly off to sleep in it, and you don't want to get up in the morning at all. Huge, soft, comfortable, my husband and I couldn't find a friend)) I especially liked pillows, now I don't have enough of them in Moscow. They are long and unrealistically comfortable to sleep on, well, at least it was very much for me. The bed is clean. The furniture in the room is not bad, everything works, everything is in place: a bed, 2 bedside tables, a cosmetic table, a chest of drawers for a suitcase, 2 armchairs and a table, in the hallway there is a huge mirrored wardrobe for clothes. There is an iron, an ironing board, a TV, a coffee pot, an alarm clock, a safe, a hair dryer, air conditioning and a fan. Everything is working fine. There was no wonderful cleaning, they cleaned every day, towels were changed, everything was constantly reported to the mini-bar, they did not have time to drink and eat. Our room is ordinary, the miri bar included: drinks, juices, chips, nuts and water for 2-3 liters per day and beer. What really pleased me about this hotel is the sockets)) No adapters are needed! This is a huge plus, and there are also USB sockets, we managed to charge all the equipment overnight. Upon arrival, the room had a bathrobe, slippers, and bathroom accessories, gel, shampoo and balm in dispensers, enough for the whole vacation. But I brought mine anyway, and my husband would have had enough for a couple of months of living there))
The only problem that we had during the whole vacation was the safe was blocked, but it was solved pretty quickly, a call to the service, a call to the master, 5 minutes of waiting, and the problem was solved. All your problems with the safe are solved only in your presence.
[ ] The food at the hotel is good, quite varied, delicious, there are theme days: Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Italian, etc. water is always served. What was very surprising is that even in the so-called buffets, you are served like in a restaurant, drinks are brought to order, dirty plates are removed, you don't even have time to notice how quickly. All the staff is kind and attentive. There is enough variety in principle, and there is meat
[ ] Alcohol is poured well, of course, if you give a dollar, then they will pour you a premium. The wine that is poured in the buffet, of course, is not very good for my taste, especially white, for my taste it is rare, but red, you can drink it, but it tastes so-so, we tried it better)) but in the Chez gourmet restaurant, the white is quite tasty! Cocktails are delicious, for every taste and color. I'm not a fan of alcohol in general, but I liked it.
[ ] There are "a la carte" restaurants. The Beach includes 4 restaurants: Coral, Santa Fe, Chez Gourme, LA Briza. We visited 3, all except lA Briza, so you can eat there at lunch.
[ ] In Santa Fe (geographically located in Pakace) - meat, very tasty steaks, for 5. The serving is interesting, the snacks are peculiar, but for 4. I did not really like the service for a long time, I have to wait a long time until the order is accepted, the snacks are brought, cooked and served. There are a lot of people, probably not in time.
[ ] Coral - (geographically located in the Palace) - fishy, a large selection of Seafood dishes, fish, quite tasty, exotic. But the same dogged service. These restaurants are also more comfortable in a buffet atmosphere, there is no noise, very noisy, the noise of dishes, plates, you see the forge, cooking.
[ ] And we visited the third one on the last day, this is Chez Gourmet - it is located in the very Beach, it caused a stir, it was very cool, just a restaurant with a thousand of his understanding, from the meeting, to the last moment. A very large selection, varied, meat, Seafood, fish, vegetarian dishes. Outwardly, they are like a work of art and it is very tasty. The service is fast, attentive, they constantly approach you, ask if everything is fine, something else, constantly pour water, alcohol. In general, this restaurant deserved 5, and it is a pity that we visited it on the last day and did not try all the dishes.
[ ] The territory is just huge, gorgeous, green, due to the fact that you can use the Territory of the Palace hotel, you can walk for a long time, you can't get around everything. A steam train constantly runs between the hotels. Be sure to go to the golf course after 5. The territory of the gol club is a fairy tale, the sunsets there are unreal, and the 15th hole deserves special attention, with Flamingos, storks, ducks and peacocks. It's like a piece of Paradise. There are volleyball fields, tennis fields, you can use them for free, you can also take a kayak, catamarans, swim in the ocean, you can swim to dolphin island and swim with them. The hotel staff constantly cleaned the territory, cleaned, chopped palm trees, coconuts. By the way, you can always buy them on the territory for $ 2.
[ ] The beach is a separate chapter. It is quite wide, smooth entry into the water, there are always free lelaks, morning, afternoon, evening, ALWAYS! You do not need to get up at 5 a.m. and run to take a sunbed, as in some hotels. This is probably another plus of the hotel without children, as there were no free sunbeds during the day walking along the beach in the PALACE. We were in September-October, there were algae, but not a lot, and they were cleaned every morning, workers also passed through during the day and also frequented. In general, they did not bother us in any way. There was always a place where you could swim without them and with a clear sunset. But the beach itself, the ocean, the view and the sunrise on the beach are the most unforgettable.
[ ] Entertainment- anime shows are very incendiary, cheerful, sociable. In hotels, yoga, stretching, aerobics are conducted in the morning, dance lessons in the afternoon, in two weeks, I learned bochata, merengue, salsa, my husband played volleyball every day, volleyball tournaments once a week, tennis, tennis tournaments. Unfortunately, there was no Entertainment in the evening, covid and so on. But in the evenings they turn on concerts, and the locals sit and watch them, and in the evenings a pianist plays in the bar. He plays very beautifully, you can listen to him. He also knows Russian melodies, which is encouraging, far from his homeland. We found something to do for the evening, so it was bowling, we organized tournaments, due to which we made friends with a lot of vacationers, it was a lot of fun, there was our own music, dancing and bowling games, sometimes a shade was added. But of course there are other entertainment options, especially gambling casinos. We were there a couple of times, of course the expectation was different, but in general, after 10 minutes of being there, the atmosphere changed, people were playing, excitement was in the air, music was playing, alcohol, in general, it was also fun, if you are gambling and love casinos, then you definitely go there, if not, then it doesn't matter go, even just to visit, see and show yourself. Also, in addition to all that has been said, there are courts for big tennis, if you know how, love, then welcome, everything is free during the day. And finally, of course, a kayak, a catamaran, this is a special pleasure, clean water, turtles, the underwater world, it is certainly not particularly picturesque, but still there) There is also an opportunity to take a sailing boat, but as far as I understand it costs $ 30. We didn't, we just had to kayak, swim and enjoy the expanse of the ocean, clear water, turtles and all that.
In conclusion, I want to say that I will definitely return to this particular hotel. Now I understand those couples who have already vacationed at this hotel 5 times. I was captivated by this hotel in the very heart, communicating with other vacationers in the Dominican Republic, I understand that we have a very cool hotel, everything corresponds to high-quality service and excellent rest.

This is the most magical place my husband and I have ever been to at the moment. In the wildest delight! If you are young, full of energy and going on vacation without children, then feel free to choose this hotel! And you won't regret it. Maximum relaxation, the animators are just a delight, at the same time they do not bother you if you do not want to join morning yoga / stretching or play various games such as table tennis, beach volleyball or darts outdoors. Drinks are a bomb! The alcohol is good even locally, but there is an elite expensive gin and whiskey at the reception. Food for every taste from desserts and fruits, to lobsters, octopus and squid. We arrived at the hotel for 16 nights, for the New Year holidays. We bought a large junior suite room, we were satisfied with the room, with some drawbacks: the shower room is chronically leaking, we came several times covered with sealant, it lasts for a couple of days, then it flows again. However, there are no umbrellas on the beach at all, it is certainly possible to look for shade under palm trees, but it is extremely inconvenient, and the shadow of a palm tree will not give you the opportunity to completely hide from the sun. Despite the long beach, there are significantly fewer places to swim, since many places are overgrown with algae, it is unpleasant to swim there. The food is a little weak for such a price for a hotel. Yes, sometimes they give langoustines, but they are very small and even rotten. They took it a couple of times, then rinsed their mouths, they were afraid of poisoning themselves. Remarkably, above the main restaurant, there is a Coral restaurant where you can eat for $ 20 or for free for guests with premium status, so we had lunch there once, the lobsters there were of a completely different quality: the freshest. We concluded that for the rest of the guests, seafood is bought, sorry, second freshness, otherwise how can we explain such an obvious difference. But the most negative impressions are the service staff. In a restaurant, you are simply ignored, you turn to the waitress, and she turns her ass on you and leaves, and this is daily! you can ask for water and not wait for it at all, for the whole vacation I have never, ! They never brought coffee for breakfast! This applies to any request, fork, spoon, glass, etc. do not waste your nerves and time, take it yourself. Or better yet, go to another hotel!! According to reviews and ratings, the hotel was one of the best. I'll say the same for the price - one of the expensive ones. It is clear that in the situation with the crown, prices have soared.... That the Dominican became the price of the Maldives. But quality and price are different things. The prices were increased, the quality remained at the bottom. We arrived on 29.2021. We checked in for 4 hours. They gave me some numbers, then changed them. As a result, we and the children were settled in different buildings... by evening we were at least in the same building, on the same floor, But not next to each other. The staff is generally a separate topic. They understand the locals, the Americans, and all Italians perfectly. But Russians are not understood at all, not English, not Spanish... not at all. No drinks, no napkins to be questioned. For lunch, you look for spoons for soup for 30 minutes - and that's 5 *. The safe did not work in the room, the hair dryer barely warms up and off, the iron cord is not fixed. Russian Russian channel is not- or rather, it is- but this is a recording of 10 Russian films and they are constantly being played on repeat. That is, in 3 days we learned them by heart. But this is a small thing. The food is far from 5*. There seems to be a lot of everything- but there is nothing to eat. I'm not picky and basically omnivorous. But seafood is really rotten . Exotic fruits: mango and papaya must be taken in time, because the tray is not replenished - that's all they ate. Bananas, watermelon, melon - it's true. The New Year's table is a separate review. They were recorded at 21:30, put at the table at 22:15 (with a scandal) the table was set by 23 (at least the appliances were brought). Then blula - 1:1 !!!the lobster was cold and cooked 2 days ago - it was even poorly cut with a knife. 2: 1 lobster tail- it smelled rotten even with the tray - it was just gray in color and of course cold.3: a piece of meat (like a 5 ruble coin) and sliced potatoes and all gray. A teaspoon of sorbet for dessert. And I also forgot the mashed soup (sour, I didn't even understand what it was with - grated pickles). This is a New Year's table. They asked for drinks, but they didn't wait.
The beach is dirty and it is not cleaned of algae at all. The water is clean, but the sea is cold and the wind is very strong.
Prices for ex were also raised 3-4 times .
All this, of course, could be irreversible about the hotel, but such a service costs more than 1.2 million (for 4: 2 adults and 2 children, for 12 days - flight Moscow azur (not even Aeroflot).
I don't recommend Dominicana at all, she was good for her money. But for that kind of money, you want an elementary good service at least.

I have been with this place for 2 weeks. Tomorrow (10/24/2021) departure. Advantages: the beach. Cons: average food (most ala carte restaurants have terrible service and the same food as in the common dining room), average room cleaning (left for tea every day, made the bed the same way every day, but did not wash the room efficiently), almost no entertainment (voyleyball, bachata lessons, darts, erased pool just a disgusting guest service - to help print out an e-ticket - not to them, to call a golf cart - too (football is cut off), cocktails - below average, wines - it is better not to take at all and there is NO COLD WATER in the room for the last 3 days. The latter means that it is unrealistic to go not only to the shower, but also to the toilet (with flushing). It is better to choose another hotel in the Dominican Republic!!!

The room has old plumbing, the air conditioner broke down twice in 5 days, the staff speaks only Spanish, with the exception of reception staff, service desk, senior waiters.
Not everyone is friendly and efficient. A three-course meal. But the worst thing was that the beach was polluted with rotting algae, which were slowly being slowly cleaned up. The stench was terrible, it was impossible to swim in the sea. The pool is full of drunk, screaming residents. One joy was not the screeching of children, as the hotel is only for adults.

Good afternoon! The kitchen is just terrible , there are only flies in the restaurant , the staff can't be worse , you run around looking for salt for 15 minutes because it 's not on the table! You'll be waiting for coffee for a very long time! The room is a separate topic ( flooded, the air conditioner broke down , they said to turn it off and on through the switch 😂😂😂
It's boring for children in general !!!
We didn't like the hotel and it's not worth the money!
