Good afternoon, everyone!
Bal kymyz is a chain of establishments with branches, mainly in Almaty.
I remember at one time this place was advertised by the stars of Biz's show, bloggers.
I visited this place with a group of 30-40 people. Koumiss may be delicious for them. But the food, the waiter service, the service in general left much to be desired.
This institution is located in the upper part of the city of Almaty, along the ave.Dostyk is closer to the mountains. Visited 09.09.2024 It was booked in advance.
Of the inconveniences, I note that there is no hot water in the bathrooms, there is none at all.
It was a rainy day, and it was getting colder in the mountains.
There is no namazkhana, we could allocate 5-6 squares for this. And arrange a separate "steam room" with hot water.
The waiters, if you can call them that, are very slow.
We ordered tea at the samovar and it was delivered late.
For lunch, we ordered "kuyrdak" but instead they brought the usual "roast" with hard meat, giving us this dish for "kuyrdak. But we know that and distinguish one from the other.
It's the same with the bauyrsaks. They didn't have time to fry.
And all because they do not know how to organize a dinner for so many people and calculate the cooking time.
We went up the gorge at 11.00 o'clock, it is clear that we will return by 13.00 o'clock, well, at most by 14.00. If we take into account this time, it was possible to cook hot, tea, baursaki bread by this time.
But I do not know for what reasons we waited first for tea, baursaks, then the roast was brought which they gave us for a kuyrdak.
I give them 1 point.
Even the letter "C" is unfamiliar to them from the word "service".
If you want to leave hungry and dissatisfied, then you are here.
The only plus of this place is the "location" of clean mountain air and kymyz. Everything else is lame
An unusual, ethno-institution. Koumiss is awesome. However, the cheese and quirdac are very expensive, the portion is small. But the koumiss is excellent. It's nice to sit outside.
A wonderful place, nature, beauty, and a harmoniously integrated place of rest and delicious food, I come to Almaty twice a year and definitely visit this wonderful place. Highly recommended, courteous staff, good service.
A great place to relax, this is the pride of our beautiful mountainous area in Almaty. I especially want to thank the Aksakal, unfortunately I do not know his name, the sanitary condition is at a good level and the modern bathroom works perfectly and before it was a shame in front of foreigners when there was no normal bathroom. And secondly, national drinks can be noted: kymyz, saumal, shubat. And thanks for the polite service. I wish the team always pleased their customers with excellent dishes and amenities. Sincerely, Candidate of Economic Sciences Amangeldy Zhumakhanovich Mukakhanov
A good authentic place! I advise everyone! Baursaks and Kumyz or Shubat, this is their separate art form, the prices are reasonable, everything is very fresh and delicious🤤
I often visit this cafe on Butakovka, I bring friends from other countries who visit me here. The most delicious things here are hot baursaks with sour cream and Tashkent tea. Still fresh air. Everyone I drove liked it, better than Tara.
it is located in the Butakovsky gorge, the food is good, but expensive, koumiss is not bad, sour cream, baursaks are superior. You need to dress warmer, it's cold in the morning.
Very entourage. The mountains, the river, the goats are running, the yurt is standing. The food also matches. The cafe is family-run. Family service) for me, this is an additional entourage, not a minus.
Number 1 kumys in Almaty. I don't drink kombucha from anywhere other than our Balyk. A person who drinks kombucha with hot baursaks will surely turn around again.
A good place to relax with family and friends! The dishes are also very tasty. Especially sour cream with a hot bagel, but it turns out that food needs to be ordered in advance.
There is no normal sign indicating the cafe. Pilaf is porridge with carrots and meat, a fresh salad of limp cucumbers and tomatoes. I was pleased with the hot baursaks, soft and juicy shish kebab and more or less normal kymyz. The place and nature are beautiful. The cafe needs to tighten up the kitchen.
