One of the best zoos in the former Soviet Union, clean and well maintained, with huge enclosures. The zoo's inhabitants look and feel great. It is not as huge as Moscow, but it is very well thought out: walking paths along the wooden flooring along the aviaries create the impression of a walk in nature, lots of trees and greenery. The entrance fee for tourists is 15 manats (about 1,000 rubles), and this money is nothing compared to the emotions and great mood received)

I haven't been to the zoo in Baku for a long time, I was pleasantly surprised, very clean, beautiful, Safari-style zoo, all animals are well-groomed, clean, pleasant atmosphere. There is a mini-farm on the territory, with rabbits, guinea pigs, you can feed them and spend time there.

I liked the zoo, the territory is nice, green, quite clean. There are tigers, lions, jaguar, camels, bison.
The children liked it.
I took off the star for the fact that the entrance is 3 manats for locals, 15 for tourists. We have a family of 5 people, this comes out as an amount for 15 people, well, too much.
You can go once for the sake of the children, there is an interesting observation deck, a really cool solution.

After the reconstruction, this is a paradise, the children are delighted. You need to come for at least 3-4 hours. Although the square is small, the maze of bridges, passages and nooks pleases visitors on a sultry day. Well-groomed and well-fed animals play, entertaining guests. There are a lot of visitors on weekends and it's not very convenient.

Recently, I was lucky enough to visit the Baku Zoo, located on Abbas-Kuli-Agha Bakikhanov Avenue in Baku. From the very beginning, this zoo impressed me with its compact and cozy territory, which is a luxurious pine park with a hilly landscape and murmuring waterfalls.
The most important advantage of this zoo is that the animal enclosures here are very spacious and convenient to view. Thanks to this, visitors can observe the zoo's inhabitants from different angles: from above from wooden bridges or through huge panoramic windows located at ground level. This allows you to see animals at close range, look them straight in the eyes and get an unforgettable experience.
In the Baku Zoo, you can see many species of animals such as bears, leopards, tigers, lions, camels, bison and many others. All of them look healthy and well-groomed, which indicates good maintenance and care from the zoo staff.
Separately, I would like to note the high level of comfort for visitors. Comfortable benches, clean toilets, cafes and souvenir shops make your stay at the zoo pleasant and memorable! :)

A small, cozy Baku zoo. A set of animals, probably, like everywhere else - camels, buffaloes, zebras, bears, monkeys, birds and other representatives of fauna. The territory is monitored, very clean, the animals are well-groomed and well-fed. There is a small terrarium. Tourists are charged a triple price - 45 manats (15 manats each) were paid for an adult and two children aged 14 and 11.

I visited the zoo in Baku, which I really liked.

There are also rare animals such as American bison, mongooses, cheetahs, American cayuga ducks with beautiful black plumage that glows green and pink in the sun, cheetahs and many other animals. The children liked it very much.The first time I visited the zoo without children, I saw a bear.The children really wanted to see the bear, it's a pity that this time the children did not manage to look at a live bear. Baku has a small but very beautiful zoo. The collection of animals is small, but the aviaries are large and picturesque. A separate excellent solution is aerial trails for observation from above. There is a playground for children. Unfortunately, the cafe was not working. They admired the cubs, big cats, otter games and porcupine cubs.

The prices are reasonable, the zoo is quite large. Clean and well maintained, convenient location. The tiger enclosure was cleaned when we were there, so cleanliness is not in question at all.
Animals are paid actors. Practically no one was hiding, everyone was actively moving, growling, shouting and so on.
The part with aquariums and terrariums is just as good.

This is the best zoo of all European ones. Animals play, walk in conditions close to natural, very cool! In this zoo, you forget about time, you watch the animals - you just can't tear yourself away! So much joy was given to us by monkeys, a bear (playing with a swing), kangaroos, otters (who would have thought! they raced very funny), and, of course, majestic predators! We, tourists from Irkutsk, fell in love with Baku, but we experienced the brightest joyful emotions in your Zoo!

We visited the zoo with a child in May. I don't know who writes rave reviews, but it's very difficult to call a zoo. I would call it a big menagerie. Of course, you need to understand what to compare it with.
Yes, it is clean and cozy, but there are very few animals. Lion, tiger, bear, jackal, little crocodile are the most memorable. And so all the others on the list are llamas, flamingos, camels, various ungulates, a large cage for birds of prey, there are parrots and an owl.

I still did not understand their working hours, because it is written on the Internet until 17.30, but in fact we went out at 18.30 somewhere, and the cash register was still working.
If you are in Baku with a child, then it is definitely worth visiting, if not, then it depends on how much you love zoos and how much free time you have. There are no most interesting animals (no giraffes, hippos, elephants, pandas). But the zoo itself is clean, the animals are clearly visible, and the tiger can be seen at all up close if you go down to the hatch with water.
You can also climb to the observation deck (located at the bears at the end of the zoo).
I really liked the bears: mom and two cubs. There are also a lot of deer, there are peacocks, flamingos, bison, tigers, lions, cheetah, etc.
