We visited the Babutsa Guest House in Abkhazia this year. A very cozy place and friendly hosts. A clean and beautiful place. Near the sea and places where you can eat. There are also shops and a bazaar nearby where you can buy everything you need. I recommend.

Rooms, only for summer stays (were in early December)!!!
It is heated only by air conditioning and then very weakly , the floors are ice , there is ice in the bathroom !!
When asked to give some kind of heater to the bath, the answer sounded like this -"we do not give out electric heaters, open the door and the bath will warm up"
That's not bad, but once again, only for the warm period!!!

We were here from August 21st to 27th. I liked everything very much. The owners of the house are very hospitable. They talk about everything in great detail, they do not refuse help. The rooms are clean, tidy, and cultured. Next time only to them))))

So, let's start with the fact that it takes not 7 minutes to go to the sea , as indicated , but all 15-20 minutes , through a swamp and a garbage can. In short, the house is located so that you need to take a taxi to the beach or to the market or to the center. This is about the placement. According to the guest house itself: there is no roll-up curtain at all and the sun is shining in the room, so you can't sleep in the morning, the bed, or rather the mattress is so terribly old, the springs dig into the side it is impossible to sleep, the TV works only with a USB flash drive, with those films that the owners uploaded. that is, you do not choose what to watch. Well, I didn't really like it.

It's a great hotel. A room with a huge balcony - terrace has all the amenities. Parking in the yard is decent. The kitchen in the hotel is very nice.

A great place to stop in Gagra. Modern rooms with private bathroom. There is a separate shared kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered for a fee. Very pleasant hosts Alla and Oleg, will always come to the rescue in any matter. Thank them for a pleasant stay.

Very welcoming, clean. Towels, linen are all new. The beds are comfortable. Well-maintained territory. Children have a swing, a scooter, a playhouse. The owners are wonderful people. The hostess feeds very tasty. I didn't want to leave.

I have vacationed in Abkhazia 9 times and for the first time I was so disappointed with the chosen place to stay. The friendly hosts of this guest house are only for those who have either never rested comfortably (next to the sea and beautiful views of the mountains and the sea), or for those for whom rest is gatherings with alcohol in a noisy company. So, the guest house is located at the very end of Gagra (the extreme beach, almost wild). To go to the sea on stilts, through the garbage about 15 minutes. The new beautiful Promenade and entertainment are 40 minutes away (count only on a taxi). The room was rented with a kitchen (3000 days). In the room itself, there is a closet in which there is a refrigerator and it will not be possible to place things), the TV did not work and we were convinced that even if it was repaired, it shows only 3 channels in Abkhazia. For the information of the owner, there are up to 600 channels in other boarding houses)))) Next to our room there was a shared kitchen, in which several guests, ashamed of the owners, were noisy, with a crash of dishes and glass, sat until one o'clock in the morning (there was no sound insulation). Of course, we did not want to stay in this guest house. We rented a room on the second line in the very center. A conversation with the hostess about the refund of the prepayment, since they misled us about the living conditions, did not bring results. I do not recommend this guest house to anyone.

We visited this guest house in July 2021, it was terrible. We rented accommodation for 2 days, and all these days there was no electricity and, accordingly, there was no water to wash in stuffy and hot weather and after the sea ...
The owners said that this was a common occurrence, but for some reason they did not have a generator for such cases.
Also, the mattress is already tired and the springs that dig into the back are not comfortable.
And it turns out that dinners need to be ordered in advance...
I do not recommend this guest house.
