I came here in search of lunch after visiting the Yedikel Fortress. So to speak, to be away from the center, that is, cheap and as authentic as possible.
I think it's enough to say that the locals eat here. I didn't see any tourists.
One could call it a catering of exemplary order, that is, such as a proper Soviet dining room should be, with neat employees in shirts, cleanliness and minimalism.
The menu is small, but it even aroused more confidence, compared to eateries that have 100 items on the list.
The photos of the owner with the guests on the wall speak for themselves that a person has been engaged in this institution all his life.
The signature dish is kefte, Turkish meat patties. I also took beans with bacon and a large ayran (they also bring a lot of excellent soft white bread) 380 liras were released on 03.09.24 (one basic cheeseburger in a mcduck or burger king will cost 170-200 liras) . The food arrived quickly. I'm not a gourmet, but everything was delicious and, most importantly, satisfying.
Please note, the staff barely speaks English, but no one canceled the sign language, poke at the menu and everything is ready))
Anyway, if you're in the area, take a look.
If you find your way around Yedikule, samatya and Kocamustafa pasha, you can eat with taste buds
it is one of the rare meatball places.
