Today, on 30.08.23, I went to buy bus tickets to Almaty. The cashier accepts only cash, although previously payment was accepted by bank cards. I had to go to the Kaspibank ATM and withdraw money from the card. It is surprising that no matter how much time has passed (and I have been riding buses from Balkhash to Almaty and back for about 40 years), little changes. The buses are old, sometimes they break down, the cashiers are not always polite. I ask the management to put cashiers who can talk to people. This is also the face of the city, many tourists visit the city and the surrounding area because of the rest on the lake.
