I was at this hotel in the summer of 2021.
What can I say?
3 stars is the maximum!
The photo does not match the original. The building has managed to "get tired" during this time.
The room stock, from the 90s.
The frames and the door to the balcony are made of wood.
There is a kitchen, but there are no dishes, and then the point is in the kitchen?
All-inclusive meals.
Breakfast for 2 weeks, the same thing every morning: sliced meat, eggs, bread, jam, etc.
Lunch and dinner are brought from other places, they only warm up there.
Therefore, the quality also suffers.
In the bar: beer, moonshine and 2 types of wine.
Water, juice and local analogues of Cola and Sprite.
After the administrator leaves, there is no one at the reception at 22.00.
Take the keys and do whatever you want.
I helped some people to "stop by" so much, they were standing at the entrance and couldn't find anyone. I looked at the log entry about their arrival and gave them the key. Funny and sad!
The contingent of accommodation is everything in a row (Blacks, young people, families, companies, etc.)
, i.e. this hotel does not have its own category of customers.
It is clear that this place has known better times, but now they are stagnating.
On the plus side: there is an elevator, without internal doors, unusual, but also dangerous.
The sea is 200 meters away and immediately on the embankment.
Pomegranates and lemons grow in the yard.
If you are traveling with a family, I do not recommend it, but for companies it is suitable.
Good afternoon. The other day we came from vacation from Greece from the Athena Inn hotel) I want to write a review on this hotel what I liked and what I didn't like, I'll tell you right now!
I'll start with the pros, it was our first time in Greece and we liked it very much in general))) and the climate and the sea) but I'll start with the hotel))
We arrived in Greece on the island of Crete from the airport to our hotel, we spent time in about 40 minutes, it's really fast)) the hotel itself is located in the town of Hirsonisos approximately in the middle of this town on the first line but in the urban part of it! When we got to the place and we got off the whole bus the very first, we were dropped off not at the hotel, be prepared for this, but at stop 22)) it doesn't look like a stop either, just a sign with numbers))) this is because the roads are narrow, this is Europe))) and then we got a little spoiled by the impression of the guide who did not correctly show the direction of the hotel and we, like fools, sorry, walked for an hour and looked for our hotel in the sun))) the guide told us to go to the right, but in fact we had to go to the left, to the SPAR supermarket and you can immediately cross the road and there will be a hotel at the back of the street) in the photo you can see a super market if you look closely) About the hotel itself, I can say 3 * as stated, but not a three if you came to Turkey, for example, or Egypt! In Europe, threes are better!
We were given a large 2-room room with two balconies, a kitchenette, a kettle, but without dishes))) except for the baking sheet, there was nothing)))
On nutrition !! we had everything included, but that's not really the case)) For me, this is more of a full boarding house than an all-inclusive one! In the morning, breakfast is always standard boiled egg, breakfast cereals, yogurt, ham, sausage (one type each) bread, sweet cupcake, tea, coffee and lemonades)) and this is always the standard.
There were differences for lunch, but in general there were also constant things- watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh onions were always present, and for lunch itself there were three side dishes: French fries, pasta with ham but in shape like rice it was possible to confuse))), their moussaka casserole, beef stewed and fried, chicken, pork, some local fish, I liked it, i.e. every day there was different meat, but the side dishes did not change much (and even steamed vegetables were also present) - we did not stay hungry, in general, we were well fed! For dinner, in principle, they give the same thing as for lunch))) of the drinks, everything is the same type: red wine, white, one kind of beer, and then you always need to call the woman who pours it, draft beer)) two types of lemonade are mainly local cola and lemon delicious lemonade)) and there's something in the decanter like Yuppie)) if anyone remembers what it is)))) as it was stated, their local drink crayfish is stressed on and (this is like local moonshine) then this was not)))
About the room itself - it's clean, you can live))) but the air conditioner is paid 5 euros per day for a total of 4000 for 11 days of stay)) But I'll say this, if we knew it would be so noisy, we wouldn't save on this gadget))) Why- due to the fact that the hotel is located in the city itself right on a busy street, you understand the noise from cars, ATVs, mopeds and the people themselves who scream around the clock it is simply not possible to fall asleep with the windows open........ neither earplugs nor anything else will help)))) and even if you eat with children, especially do not save on the air conditioner)))) About the cleaner, she cleaned very strangely) for the first 4 days, no one came to us at all - after these days she started cleaning, but after a few days everything stopped again))) and take mosquito repellents and more))) and you'd better buy it in Russia, because everything there is very expensive in this regard))) Mosquito coils helped us, there is no better remedy)))
There is also a swimming pool with sun beds on the territory of the hotel, one large, the other small, but it is right for kids, so you can spend time with the kids there too)))
I want to write about prices in stores so that there is an idea of how much)
Dinner in a restaurant if you want to taste some phenomena will cost an average of 10 -15 euros per person, but there are dishes cheaper, for example, a plate of mussels 6-8 euros. Fast food is local and pizza costs from 5-8 euros! Beer in the store costs on average from 1.2-2.5 euros per bottle of 0.33 liters. If someone smokes, then a pack of cigarettes 1.2-1.5 euros) olive oil costs 4.9 euros on average and is more expensive, but if packaging is not important to you, then I found a store where oil costs 2.69 euros. I bought 2 bottles in the photo how it looks )) the name of the synka store is attached)))!
Well, about the beaches, they are free everywhere and it doesn't matter if they are from the hotel or public)) you only pay for sun beds)) 5 euros seems to be for the whole day, but we did not use them, the old-fashioned way on a towel)) the sea is about 100m from the hotel, but going out to the sea you will not immediately find the beach, but you will run into a restaurant)) you can choose any direction either to the right or to the left to go to the first beach for about 5 minutes through cafes and restaurants), we always went to the right side) you will see two beaches the first beach is a passage through the restaurant - we did not go there but passed a little further the landmark yellow 2-storey hotel) but the choice is yours) the only disadvantage is that the area is so very rocky, the beaches are not all suitable for swimming, because there are a lot of waves! And so we liked the rest, the weather was very comfortable, we did not feel the heat, the sea is very warm, transparent and very beautiful))) but next time we will choose the hotel more carefully)))
