They are decorated with gilding, which gives them a special radiance and beauty when they rise above us.Unfortunately, it can be difficult to see the details on a watch from a height. However, you can be sure that they are not cheating. Our guide also informed me that every hour the clock makes a melodious chime, but I did not hear it. The principle of operation of the clock can be studied on a special panel located in front of the building.

Strolling through the evening Old Town, from the side of Gamsakhurdia Street we came to an amazing building with stained glass windows, pointed turrets and an unusual clock, which on closer inspection turned out to be astronomical. Not just a decorative decoration (although very skillful: with a gilded case, "golden" statues on the sides, with curly tips of the hands in the form of the sun and moon, the goddess Summer in the center of the dial), but a functional and very precise mechanism. I read with interest on the information panel the entire description of the device and pointers: where the Sun is (in which zodiac sign), planets, phases of the Moon; location of the horizon, meridian, cardinal directions; local time of sunrise and sunset. And although this Astronomical clock is a novelty, it deservedly attracts the admiring glances of tourists and pleases local residents. An excellent smart art gadget turned out!
