We rested together with my wife at the Astoria Hotel from 08/26/2024 to 09/06/2024. If anyone doesn't know, with a restaurant on the ground floor.. We took the standard room. This hotel has rooms and suites. Our room was equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay:air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, TV, Wi-Fi,shower with toilet., bedside tables, wardrobe. View from the window to the sea and the main street. For the cleanliness of the room and a change of linen, as well as for responsiveness in any matters, thank you very much to Natalia. There were no problems with food, as we ate in the restaurant with barely any. If you wish, you can order food in the room. The menu is very diverse. The prices are excellent, as is the quality. But the size of the dishes!!! They're just huge!!! The staff at the restaurant is just great. No one will be left without attention (girls, thank you very much) Special thanks to super bartender Aslan! There are a number of shops and a market in front of the hotel. The beach is within walking distance, the sea is clean. Boat trips are provided.there are also many excursions to local attractions. We are 100000% satisfied with the rest, Thanks a lot to Madina and Aslan (the owners of this hotel), for a great stay. Everything is great!!!

I've been to this hotel. By the standards of Abkhazia, it is the best. I want to say a huge thank you to Natalia. He is a very kind and helpful person. It's just like a mother's heart. Madina and Aslan like everything. We are coming here for the second time. The restaurant downstairs is just a fire. The room and the view are gorgeous for their price. Delicious and inexpensive. That is, we only ate there. Some people complained that their children were vomiting, but then it turned out that they were swimming right at the drain, consider it in the sewer. I have observed this picture myself. Do not be lazy, walk for 5-7 minutes and you will have a great sea.
I hope we'll come back again.

We rested from 31.05 to 06.06.2023. We definitely recommend the hotel. The hotel is located on the first line, within walking distance of the center with its attractions, a market, many cafes and shops around.
We ate in the hotel cafe: the portions are huge, everything is very tasty, cooked with soul! The wonderful, helpful staff is always ready to help, they are interested in whether they are satisfied with everything, if everything suits them. Cleanliness, towels are changed daily, cleaned.
The owners are always present (Madina and her husband), it is clear that they value each guest.
When we visit New Athos, we always stay here.

We rested at the Astoria hotel, 60 Lakoba Street, from 07/17/2023 to 07/26/2023, the hotel itself is not bad, there are many rooms, there are clothes dryers and a table and chairs for relaxing next to the room, the air conditioner works perfectly, the bed is very large, though with only one blanket, the location of the hotel is sooooo close to the New Athos railway station, it is not a problem to leave from which directly to the cities of Russia, there is a kitchen with everything necessary for self-cooking, a change of linen and room cleaning is provided only once every ten days, among the disadvantages is a terrible continuous smell of sewage, which the maid immediately warns about, there may be insects such as millipedes, moths and mosquitoes, according to there is also a Prime hotel where there is a restaurant right across the street, the portions are really very large, be careful when ordering, the waiters do not warn about the size, as they are interested in giving out dishes in order to take food with them, the food itself is a solid three, you can not say that it is awesome delicious, very average, there is something to compare, there is no beach of your own, you need to walk 20-30 minutes to a normal beach, it's long enough in the heat, there are basically no problems with food, there are many canteens and cafes, but the food is monotonous and fatty, meat with lots of veins and cartilage, there are no shawarma and chebureks, transport stops are available, there are taxis, the choice is yours)

We had a rest with my mother from 04 to 12 June. The rest turned out to be wonderful, thanks to the hostess Madina, her assistant Natalia, and the cafe staff. The hostess herself and her assistant met us at night, it was raining. The room is clean and cozy. Also on the territory. The cuisine is beyond praise: EVERYTHING was sooo delicious! the waitresses are smart: friendly, punctual. I recommend it to everyone! Great, just great.Clean, cozy, near the sea, but if with children it is better to go to the neighboring beach, it is nearby, the descent to the sea is a rusty staircase, and then along the ledge on the wall.This is the ONLY negative.The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, the towels are cleaned and changed every day.Just huge and delicious portions in the cafe on the ground floor.

We were vacationing with a family with two children of 6 and 2 years old. Before that, I studied the options for a long time. This one didn't let me down. A room with a sea view (and the sea is 30 meters away. There is a cafe downstairs with very nice prices and large portions. The sound insulation in our room was excellent. The room is large. There is no TV, there is YouTube, but we didn't care. Madina, the hostess, well done. New Athos is a gorgeous place. Gagra and Pitsunda were not even close.

We had a rest at the hotel with my husband in June, I really liked it.. I wanted to mention the work of Natalia's maid - maintaining cleanliness in the room at the same level and frequent replacement of towels, this is very rare on our coast. At the bottom there is a restaurant with a sea view - friendly staff, delicious food. I liked everything very much. We want to return it in the fall.

We were in Astoria, but apparently in another building, the one they have across the street from Prime.
The price for which we rented the room was very good.
Of the cons:
The lack of a hair dryer, because of the humidity, it's stuffy in the bathroom. While I was in the shower, the water was turned off, completely, but as it was said, this is in the order of things. They turned it on after 10 minutes)))
It was difficult to find, since the address does not match much with the place, but it turned out that the administrator was in Prime🤷who would know😁
Of the advantages: the location is very convenient near the grocery market, very close to the beach. Unobtrusive service in this case in a good way)
It's clean, the neighbors are not very audible.
We would have come again.

Great. It is located on the very shore, the first line, its descent to the beach. The cuisine is delicious, the prices are average on the coast, And the fact that they write there is no breakfast, etc. and so on is not a problem (porridge 50 rubles, pancakes 70 rubles, scrambled eggs 80 rubles). Lunch for 4 is about 800-1000 rubles, dinner with alcohol and meat dishes in the range of 1400 - 1600 rubles. (Portions are decent, (daughters of 17 and 19 years old took one meat portion for dinner for two). The beach is pebbly. Across the street, 10 meters away, is their hotel PRIME, cheaper rooms (we were in August 2019, the price is 600 rubles per person), (where we stayed as a family of 4), in a room with three rooms for two people, a shower with hot water, toilet, TV and air conditioning, wi-fi (the speed is too low, but it's enough for social networks), a refrigerator, a kettle, a stove and dishes for those who want to cook. They are cleaned every two days, and a towel is provided.

A nice, cozy hotel, nice people, everything is clean, cleaned at our request, the kitchen (cafe) at the hotel is clean, without cockroaches and other things, as it happens, you can warm milk in the morning, you can use dishes, a microwave oven...I liked the water- without chlorine...the sea is under the hotel (a few steps and you are there), you need to run to the room - you can leave without packing your things...everything is as I wanted, the staff is adequate, if something is not our way - for example, pancakes with meat were chilly fried, the child was not worth eating - they were replaced without any...there's nothing more to complain about, just ++++, I want to come back, thanks to everyone and Madina of course

Absolute disrespect for the guests on the part of the staff. We arrived early in the morning with two families, pre-booked two rooms. One was provided to us immediately, the second only at three o'clock, offering to sleep in turns. The rooms are not cleaned. We sat down to dinner in the evening at the hotel establishment and asked to clean the dishes as the table became dirty, to which we were told in a boorish manner that we were not VIP persons and it was not customary for them to clean during dinner. Later, no matter how many times we came to the cafe, we were completely ignored by the staff. They did not take our order, they did not clean the dishes after other guests at the table where we sat down. As a result, we eat at cafes on the embankments, we will live for three more days and will not come here anymore.

I liked almost everything. The room answered the stated one, it had air conditioning (worked perfectly), TV and WiFi (the only small minus is the kettle. One for several rooms).
The attentive attitude of the staff should be noted separately. The slightest requests were fulfilled immediately.
The sea is nearby. 7 minutes on foot. There is also a market and shops nearby, many cafes.
