In my opinion, it is absolutely impossible to come to Georgia and not visit its ancient capital, Mtskheta! To see the ancient Pompeii Bridge, to climb up to the Jvari sung by Lermontov, to go to the ancient temple where the chiton of Jesus is buried...
Since Mtskheta is a historical city, the museum telling about the history of the city is always interesting. But, its exposition is much more extensive, it is not limited to the walls of the museum itself. Each Mtskheta monastery, the tourist quarter around the Sveti Tskhoveli Cathedral (the Life-Giving Pillar), Samtavro Monastery, Jvari and Shiomgvime monasteries (located near the city) - everything will be interesting to visit, and creating an unforgettable feeling of immersion in ancient history!
Visiting the city of Mtskheta should be a mandatory tourist route when traveling in Georgia!
