Apparently, so many positive reviews have been left by people who rent a bike to get from the hotel across the street to the store and back.
I went to the website, chose a bike, and left a request. They answered quickly, but wrote that the rental price was actually 10% higher than stated on the website ("Because of the high season, prices were raised" - well, yes, the company that operates in the resort city did not foresee the onset of the high season for the first day).
I asked what would happen if the bike broke down through no fault of mine. They said: we'll come and fix it. He asked: what if I'm in another city? And then it started.
"According to the contract, the bike can be used in Da Nang Hoi An and QuảNg Nam province."
I say: let me read the contract. They sent it. It says that you cannot leave these regions without written consent. I suggest we just arrange it.
"we can't issue such a document, you can rent a bike in that city."
In the contract, they themselves offer to issue such a document, but in fact they refuse. That is, according to the contract, you will not be able to drive 100 km away from their office in Hue, although they wrote in correspondence that they do not track movements.
They offered to rent another bike in another city. You leave this bike in Da Nang, take a bus for 100 km, rent a second bike there, ride for 20 km, then return by bus to Da Nang. It's a great plan.
Immediately after my request to issue this written permission according to their own rules, "For fear of violating the terms of the contract," they began demanding a $500 deposit or a passport.
That is, if you just quietly leave for Hue in violation of the contract, they will not ask for bail and will not treat you as a criminal.
If you honestly warn them in advance that you want to visit another city and ask them to arrange it according to their own rules, there will be fears of a violation of the terms of the contract and the requirement to leave a deposit of 500 dollars.
In short, if you are a dishonest person, or you are clean to the beach and back, be sure to contact this office. It will be cheaper only on Grab Bike :)
