It turned out to be difficult to find a suitable car at a reasonable price. We rented a Mazda 2 for a week. We were completely satisfied with the car. The car is compact and has a traction engine, very pleased with the narrow mountain serpentines. We saw the whole country in a week. Thank you guys for the opportunity to see beautiful places!

Having actually waited two working days and taking into account that the weekend is ahead, departure in early August, it is advisable to book cars in advance, otherwise you can either get a deposit of 900 euros or what is left, as a rule, the illiquid killed, decided not to distract the company's management from apparently urgent and very important matters, rented a car in a trusted company, it is symbolically more expensive, with a deposit of only 100 euros more, but a specific car with a photo, and not "either similar".
It's up to you, I would not recommend dealing with such an approach to the client, since this is the case at the booking stage, it is logical that it will continue in this way. We are going to rest, not to complete quests, waiting until your turn comes and they decide to pay attention.

Unfortunately, I don't have a single credit card or even a debit card, which would be defined as a credit card, so I started looking for an alternative to rentcars and others among local companies. I met a mention about this company, phoned, booked a Nissan laptop for 10 days, sent a copy of the license and passport via WhatsApp to draw up a contract. A man who speaks Russian perfectly assured me that he would meet us at the airport with a completed contract. From me, respectively, payment in cash plus a deposit of 200 euros (which is not even bad). Upon arrival, it turned out that there was no laptop. Earlier, I read a review from a person who got into a similar situation, but did not attach any importance to it. As a result, they told me that they would try to find a car, and it was eventually found, but I lost time. It was re-leased to another similar company, with a mileage of 65 thousand, with a lot of scratches on both bumpers, which initially confused me.
When handing over the car, I was asked to go to the office at a certain time, I waited there for 20 minutes, then they scheduled a new meeting at the gas station near Larnaca airport, where I also waited for 20 minutes. Fortunately, there was still a lot of time before registration. Upon delivery, each photo was examined very carefully and the scratches on the bumpers were compared, but the deposit was returned. After a while, the landlord called and asked to pay for the bumper painting, because when he, in turn, handed over this car to another office, they found a scratch that I made. In principle, I admit that I could have made some kind of scratch, because I drove along a gravel road, left my car in parking lots, so I transferred the money. However, so that you understand, among the many small chips and scratches, it is necessary to try very hard to find the one I made). Conclusion: do not take a car from the locals, only through rentalkars, economibooking and the like.yes, the deposit is larger, you need a credit card, but you will save a lot of time, because large companies have parking in the terminal, and the prices are essentially the same. Do not take damaged cars, carefully fix each chip on your phone.
