A small, cozy hotel with a very convenient location and attentive, helpful staff. Optimal for tourism. Nearby (5-10 minutes) there is a tram stop and 10-15 minutes to the metro station. Nearby (10-15 minutes on foot) tourist locations: Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and others. The rooms are small, not new, but clean. Breakfast buffet: salad, vegetables, fruits, local cheeses. Scrambled eggs or omelets are prepared on request. Beautiful view from the terrace. Since it is located in a tourist place, it can be noisy from the street.
We stayed at this hotel in Istanbul in May, I would like to mention the pros and cons.
The advantages include:
-convenient location, historical center, nearby attractions and everything you want (except for the shopping center, they are far away)
-it is convenient that there is a tram stop nearby, it was the only ride
- there is an employee at the hotel who speaks and understands Russian, and we contacted him if we needed help.
- in general, all the staff are quite friendly and welcoming
-buffet breakfasts and stunning views of the city, and at lunch or in the evening you could eat there, but for a fee, like in a restaurant.
Now the cons:
- poor cleaning, when we checked into the room, we found that the wardrobe, bed and other furniture were dirty, daily cleaning was also very superficial, hair always remained on the floor after cleaning
- a broken kettle
-an air conditioner that had a terrible smell when turned on, as if it had never been cleaned
-an old hair dryer that cannot be dried
-audibility from neighboring rooms, from the corridor, it happened that I woke up at night because the residents came to the next room and shouted loudly, laughing
-the construction site is next door, respectively, when opening the window, everything is audible, as well as everything is audible through the hood in the toilet
-the "do not disturb" button did not work
In general, you can stay at the hotel if you come there to spend the night and relax physically. There is a refrigerator in the room, you can have a snack, drink tea. But you can't say about comfort, because the hotel is old, and the furniture is accordingly too. There probably won't be any excellent hotels in this area. However, if the hotel administration has better control over the cleaning process, then it will be good, in a situation where the hotel is not new and the furniture is not being updated, you can at least keep it clean.
