I was tricked into doing the entire amount of work at this service station. I put the car into repair on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. On Saturday, March 2, at about 11.30, I received a call from the service station and was told that the wing was cooked, in addition, the wheel arch was cooked (which is the purest lie), that they would send me a calculation THIS HOUR. I said, send me a photo of the repaired areas, and I'll take a decision.
At 15.30, 4 hours after the call (although the service station is open on Saturday until 14.00, which means that the car was specially disassembled after hours), I was sent a photo with the disassembled car (thresholds, rear bumper, lights, trunk disassembled, etc.) and the stripped right wing, whichit did not need repair and painting, as well as calculation. (It cost 2700 UAH to install a patch on a wing with a length of 100 mm). I did not have time to clarify the relationship, and I reassured myself that for such money the work would be done very efficiently and high-quality material would be used.
When I got the car and drove it to the parking lot and looked at what had been done, I was shocked.
Fenders were installed that did not fit geometrically to my car, there were gaps between the wing and the end of the fender of 2-4 cm (I bought the fenders at the bazaar, as I was told for my car model), which I had to dismantle myself.
When asked why they were installed, I received a decent answer from specialists – but you said to install it. But after all, I did not measure them, and turned (as, unfortunately, I thought) to the specialists who had to try them on and reject them if they did not fit, and not put obviously unsuitable fenders and charge money for it.
Examining further all the nodes and sections of the car that their hands touched, I found:
The right taillight was installed crookedly, not in the place from which it was originally de-mounted. The rear bumper is mounted on top of the rubber seals of the trunk, resulting in holes where water will flow. The bumper sank down and cracks formed between the bumper and the wings. I had to dismantle the rear bumper. When I dismantled the rear bumper, I found that all four bumper mounting bolts to the car body from below had their hexagonal heads torn off, as a result of which the threaded bolt bodies remained in the welded nuts on the body at the mounting points, and the plastic tides for fastening were broken on the bumper itself.
The bumper was randomly screwed onto simple screws into the car body. In addition, several tides for fixing the decorative trunk panel were broken.
The mudguards were not screwed with original fasteners, as it was before, but with ordinary metal screws. More than half of the original fasteners were missing (screws, fasteners), etc.
The processing was carried out with an incomprehensible fuel oil, you can't call it anything else, which does not dry (there is no question of a tequila, allegedly for which money was paid significantly more than its market value and in the amount of which several cars can be processed). This substance was applied over dirt and in open areas that are visible when looking at the car without removing the wheels. This material is scraped off with a spatula along with the dirt.
I had to redo everything myself, bearing the cost of purchasing high-quality material, fasteners, etc. It seemed that a passing plumber caught on the street was engaged in the car, and not a motorist who respected himself and the client.
I am over 60 years old and for the first time in my life I am faced with such an attitude towards clients.
Conclusion. These are scammers and hidden thieves. Who deliberately did a lot of unnecessary things in order to significantly raise the cost of work, and only did harm. Instead of an act of completed work of the established sample, Filkin was given a certificate, a printout of the calculation without signatures and a seal.
Draw conclusions. Informed means armed.
