We stayed for 1 night. Overall, the hostel is good, very well located, 2 minutes from Hagia Sophia. We took a standard double room. They even gave me a four-seater))) The beds and pillows are comfortable.
The room is clean, the shower is good, the view from the window is to nowhere))) on the wall. Well, okay, it didn't matter for 1 night.
Breakfast on the glazed veranda overlooking the Bosphorus is a miracle. The breakfast itself is classic Turkish - very tasty: egg, bread, 3 pieces of cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, orange, sliced apples, French fries, olives, jam, chocolate paste
There is an open veranda on the roof, super!
I take off the star only for 1 moment - the bed linen is all in holes or sewn up... I put one duvet cover away altogether, because I couldn't choose which side to make it, there were big holes everywhere, just rags. And the towel was stained. And there was a feeling that the bedding was stale, I have never encountered such a thing. This is not very good, of course... It's just unpleasant.
And so everything is fine, in general, I recommend the hostel.
The excellent location of the hotel, a quiet quiet street, but all the main attractions are within walking distance. The hotel itself is certainly not the first freshness, it is a building that has been tested for years, with its flaws and memories of numerous people who have visited here. Our trip was short, for four nights. Upstairs there is a terrace overlooking the sea, every day I was fed a delicious hearty breakfast. Our room was on the second floor, room 6, the Windows faced the courtyard. Because we were traveling with a two-year-old child, the stroller was left on the ground floor. Also on the day of departure, we were allowed to store a suitcase on the ground floor without any problems, so we managed to walk and shop before lunch. The bed is wide, the three of us slept with the baby, comfortably. What I would recommend to the hotel is to update the bed linen and towels, everything was clean, but already gray) Thank you for your hospitality and see you in Istanbul!❤
I don't know where so many rave reviews come from. The hostel is good only during breakfast on the terrace - yes, it's beautiful, on the roof, a pretty hearty breakfast, delicious, but then you return to a dirty room for six (floors and shelves are all dirty), which does not close, there are no lockers either, unless you have your own lock, a towel for an additional fee, locker, you can also buy - rent, but the deposit is not refundable (this system needs to be checked - was I told for one day? 100 liras will be expensive for you, you should have come with your lock - I probably should have known that) the location is pretty good in a seedy area, full of restiks and terraces, the city center, but the cons are that cars drive, people chatter, again, no doors close at night. The contingent is traveling youth, very nice people - everyone talks at breakfast, gets to know each other, hangs out together afterwards - the spirit of the family is present. The feeling of security is not something.
