An unusual combination of a modern railway station and Soviet-era buildings. The gate looks beautiful. It's a very crowded place, but it's interesting to walk.
Hiking trails in the center, the beginning of the sightseeing by bus, metro, a shopping center with a large selection of cafes and a very beautiful place, and the station nearby is a five-plus location.
I love this place! An incredible monument of Soviet architecture, the view from the windows of the railway station is simply magnificent.
Those interested in the history and culture of Minsk know that there are artists' workshops inside the beautiful towers. In the spring of 2023, I managed to get into one of them (this can be done through friends or by looking for knowledgeable guides). I was thrilled! The evening was bohemian-strange, I went out on the roof and discovered a great unknown psychedelic rock band (called The Dig)). The workshop is pleasant and cozy, the spirit of art is felt.
By the way, the towers were built by captured Germans. Externally, from the side of the station, the towers more or less retained their appearance, but they still changed. It is easy to understand from the old photos in comparison. unfortunately, they were undermined from the inside by constant redevelopment, thoughtless repairs and so on. This applies to commerce on the first and second floors. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, many apartments were sold to people with very big money, but little knowledge of construction work. I grew up next to the towers and I remember how they withered, then they were painted, statues were changed, clocks were made, they tried to close courtyards from homeless people. In general, long-suffering buildings and it looks like their best days ended somewhere in the late 70s
It is very majestic and beautiful. After looking at this ensemble of buildings, I recommend taking a walk along Independence Avenue. Get a general impression of the city and its history.
A monumental structure. It looks barren at night. A walk through Minsk at night is definitely worth it, the city plays with other colors. I advise everyone to visit this place
Right in front of the railway station, a monumental building meets, majestically named the "Gates of Minsk". We walked along the central streets by, took pictures, it was interesting
Well, one of the most popular attractions! It's very beautiful, especially in the evening. There is an apartment on the top floor where you can sign up and arrange a photo shoot on the balcony. It is very beautiful and atmospheric
A bright landmark. We lived nearby. It was very convenient. Not all visitors know that there is an underground passage from the railway station directly to the gate. And you don't have to go around traffic lights.
The first and biggest attraction that tourists meet. It looks majestic, everything is beautiful, there are no questions. Nearby there is fast food (where the contingent is so-so) and Parking, where there are always no places)
As a tourist attraction, solid 5
But living here, what happens inside the yard kills me every day.. it seems to have become cleaner , and the homeless were dispersed , but visiting people are not a toilet!!! There are many specially equipped places for your wishes! Stop turning the Gates of Minsk into a dump and drink , sleep , 💩 in the courtyards of our house !
A beautiful view from the train station, a direct combination of the modern railway station and the Soviet past. Minsk Gate is an architectural view, a business card of Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
We rented an apartment. The perfect location.
There is a grocery store nearby. The train station is within walking distance. There is a parking lot in the courtyard, where you can always find a place.
It is better to take photos from the train station. It is easy to get there from anywhere. In fact, these are 2 towers of different houses. There are a lot of attractions nearby.
The business card of Minsk.2 twin towers. An old German clock is mounted on one, and a coat of arms is on the other. They are very beautifully illuminated in the evening.
It is a very interesting and grandiose building. It is especially interesting to consider it when you read the history of the creation of this historical monument.
A very beautiful gate, we were waiting for the backlight to light up to enjoy the evening beauty! It was worth it, you can take good photos together, I recommend it
Minsk is a very beautiful city, with spacious avenues and interesting architecture. The gates of Minsk are located in the center, opposite the railway station and bus station, built in 1953, in the evening you get beautiful photos against the background of a historical monument. Those who want to plunge into the atmosphere of the USSR must visit Belarus.
It looks beautiful)
I took a special walk through the center to this area from my hotel. Near the train station. I wanted to find an open cafe, but alas, I didn't find anything nearby.
The Gates of Minsk are called the symbol of the capital and the whole Republic. The architectural and sculptural structure consists of two 11-storey symmetrical towers built in 1953.
The view is beautiful. A huge clock on the tower. There are shops nearby, you will hardly have to be bored. Sometimes I visit this place and it's always like the first time. The impressions are great. A wonderful view to view before leaving the city from the train station.
When I come to Minsk, I rent an apartment in this house. The house itself is a Stalinka with high ceilings, and wide staircases in the entrance. There is some kind of special atmosphere of comfort here and the feeling that you are at home. Especially in the evenings, when the facade of the house is illuminated with warm yellow lights. Opposite the house from the window you can see the chic Minsk railway station, but you can't hear the noise from the trains at all. I don't know, but it's very cozy and comfortable for me to rest here. Therefore, I give the most excellent rating to these two houses.
Every time we visit Minsk and leave the railway station, we see this "business card" of the city.))) It's just like a joyful greeting to tourists! Well, in the evening, when all the lights come on, it's a very beautiful sight.
The most beautiful ensemble of Stalinist houses in Minsk! At night with cool lighting, I advise everyone to look. There is a German clock on one tower! There are a lot of curly details!
The beauty is indescribable.. We arrived at night.. This is the first time in Minsk.. We left the station and could not tear ourselves away from the view of the gates of Minsk for a long time. Everything is glowing.. The view is just awesome..
Beautiful, unusual architecture, beautiful view, both on the towers and from them. We even managed to visit inside, there are 2 elevators in the entrance, one of them has a very interesting shape, different from the usual elevators in panels, it is shallow, but wide. The apartments have high ceilings, beautiful, large Windows.
It's a beautiful place, you leave the station right away and your eyes fall on these towers. Although I live in Minsk all the time, but when I visit the train station (or just in this area), my hand reaches out to take pictures of them, Although I have done it more than once already. A beautiful symmetrical composition.
It looks beautiful, how many times I always take photos while in Minsk. It's been a long time, and still I can't stop being surprised by this splendor.
The ensemble itself is beautiful, probably, for those who come by train, it's nice to immediately go out to a beautiful clean well-groomed square. An absolutely correct impression about Minsk is being created! A beautiful city.
However, if you are from another country and came to the square by car, then do not even dream of using paid parking. The application did not work for foreigners at the time of our arrival, it was impossible to pay for a foreign number, and parking for a car with non-Belarusian numbers could not be paid either.
An iconic architectural monument, familiar from a million postcards to anyone who is able to find Minsk on the map. Fast food chains and banks at the foot of the towers, the buildings themselves look immaculate, the forecourts look a little marginal.
The main architectural landmark of Minsk. A particularly beautiful view of the building is acquired in the evening when the backlight turns on. From the complex you can walk along the central street of the city to Independence Square.
Архитектурный памятник в стиле Сталинского ампира - визитная карточка Минска, передающая дух города и его историю, в т.ч. советского периода. Здесь чисто и просторно как и во всём городе - это не первое впечатление, а перманентное...
You will see them the first thing when you leave the station building! Definitely worth a visit! It is one of the main attractions of the city! I recommend it to everyone!
To spoil the view of the station, and in general what is around, it is impossible to look at this ensemble as a whole. The buildings are certainly beautiful, but there is no effect.
Minsk Gate, two majestic towers that are located opposite the Minsk railway Station. They have a statue of soldiers who guard the city from enemies. One tower is decorated with a clock, which came here as a trophy after World War II from Germany, and the second tower is decorated with the coat of arms of the BSSR.
Действительно, ворота Минска. Выходишь из вокзала и вид очаровывает, как собственно , и сам город с его широкими проспектами, зелеными парками, чистотой, отзывчивыми людьми и элегантно одетыми женщинами.
Beautiful ensemble! We specially went to the Station Square to see it live, not in a picture. They are located opposite the exit from the station, as if they welcome visitors. An interesting solution! Plus, as far as I know the clock on one of the towers, this is a trophy brought from Germany after the Great Patriotic War, adds interest. It's worth seeing with your own eyes
