One of the advantages.Not a bad chain hotel, spacious room.The room has all the necessary accessories, including slippers, a kettle and bathrobes.Good location and reasonable cost of the hotel, considering the May holidays.Minuses:poor sound insulation and, as a result, high audibility of noisy neighbors in the next room.There is no elevator.On the 2,3,4 and even the 5th floor, you will have to carry heavy bags and suitcases up the stairs, I got a room on the 4th floor.A very unfriendly receptionist, a middle-aged woman, deserves special attention. Her program does not work and therefore she cannot check you in.In addition, for some reason unknown to me, she did not want to provide a paid breakfast for the child, assuring that it was not included in the package of accommodation.After I showed her the booking confirmation and highlighted the line that said breakfast for 3 people was included, she started calling and finding out.In the course of the conversation, I missed a number of important, in my opinion, nuances.Fortunately, the person on the other end of the line managed to figure out the situation and made the right decision.Her behavior and attitude towards the guests can probably only be justified by the fact that she may have been working recently and has not yet had time to get used to working with people.But she obviously doesn't enjoy this job.

A normal hotel.
1. Located next to the train station and close to everything.
2. A little pompous and small, but sufficient rooms (without condee)

4. Breakfast is not a buffet: porridge and yogurt will be brought to everyone, and the second course is to choose from. I had pancakes with ham and cheese - delicious. But vegans have nothing to do at this breakfast. Tea or coffee and bread will also be brought.
A standard, in general, hotel, open, obviously, in a former hostel. There is no elevator - we lived on the 3rd floor and couldn't climb there with a big suitcase.
Parking behind the hotel is huge, but paid. But there is enough space to park the car at the curb.

An excellent hotel for the price is not very expensive. Everything is there. Conveniently located in the center. A wide bed and a medium-sized bathroom. The breakfasts are standard. You can have a lunch menu without frills, but almost everything is classic. Then only the skill of the cook and how demanding we are. In short, it often happens that it is difficult to find available rooms in the city at all if you happen to visit, there will be no strong disappointment. You will be satisfied.

I've been there a long time, but I remember the main thing. Everything was fine, as for a great hotel, there are even inscriptions on the stairs about how useful it is to walk up the stairs. I lived on the second floor, so I didn't feel any particular problems, but there is no elevator, even though the hotel is 5-6 storeys high. It was also written that high-speed Internet was available, but I had terrible Internet on Xiaomi. But it is very close to the train station and close to local attractions.

The hotel is within walking distance from the railway station. The price for the room is simply gorgeous. The room itself is simple, but there are no complaints. Everything is clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The room has everything you need (TV, refrigerator, air conditioning). There are no kettles in the room, but you can ask at the reception.
The only big disadvantage of the rooms is the sound insulation. She doesn't have a number between them at all. At 11 p.m., we had to listen to a neighbor's conversation on the phone for half an hour, and it would be fine if she screamed, but she spoke in an ordinary voice, but it was audible as if we were sitting next to her.
Also, the breakfast leaves much to be desired. For the very picky. There was a plate of oatmeal, an omelette, boiled sausages, several pieces of cheese and a loaf of butter, tea/coffee. At the same time, I had to wait for breakfast, because at 9 o'clock in the morning, it turned out that the cafe was on "special service". At the bar, the young man seemed to be doing us a favor, talking to us, told us to come in 30 minutes, an hour. It is advisable to talk about such "special service" at the reception in advance when registering at check-in.

Cozy comfortable rooms, convenient location. The only negative is the lack of an elevator, and the thresholds, heavy suitcase caused significant inconvenience on the way to the room. I don't recommend breakfast at the hotel at all, it's not very tasty, you have to wait a long time, and according to my observations during my stay, this is a regular practice, not only me, but also other guests left without waiting for the dish to arrive.

Of the cons
1) The room is standard in size. There is a TV, a refrigerator. But there is no sound insulation at all, you can hear them snoring (not even snoring) in the next room. There is no need to talk about trains passing nearby. Humidity was felt in the room, which was solved by ventilation. Well, the burgundy design is for an amateur.
2) Breakfast is oatmeal and fried eggs with sausages. I.e. you will not go hungry, but you will not get pleasure from breakfast either.
3) There is no elevator. It's not critical for me. But if your luggage or legs hurt, then it may be a problem.
In general, it's probably fine for this money. But in principle, you can look for something better.

We were in transit at the hotel right on New Year's Eve. We booked at night, not hoping for anything.
The hotel turned out to be very good. Cozy, clean, warm, I would say that it is much better than the Jubilee hotel in Minsk, for example.
The cost of the room is 106 rubles and it includes breakfast!!!!! Wonderful. We are very satisfied.

Very nice hotel, clean, cozy. The audibility is not the greatest. In the city center, next to the train station. We stayed for 2 nights, took rooms with breakfast. The breakfast was the same: sausages, porridge, omelette, cupcake, tea/coffee. But at the same time, on the first day it was very tasty, and on the second day there was another change of chefs and waiters and the impression was a little spoiled. Like dishes that are difficult to spoil, but they almost succeeded. Nevertheless, overall, the impressions of the hotel are very positive.

I liked the bed linen, normal water pressure (even hot), close to the train station, despite the proximity of the railway - the room is quiet, there is air conditioning and a small refrigerator, even 👍🏻 breakfasts are like everywhere in simple Belarusian hotels - without a choice. They give porridge, an omelet, 2 sausages, coffee or tea to choose from. Everything is simple and tastes normal. If I'm still in Gomel, I'll stop again.
One minus, but an important one is the Internet. If you stop using the device for a couple of minutes (for example, you pause a movie), then it crashes from the hotel connection, and then it does not always find it. This is very inconvenient and annoying.

The Amax Hotel is definitely one of the worst places I've ever stayed. From the very beginning, we were greeted by unfriendly staff who clearly did not want to deal with the guests. The rooms were dirty, with dust and an unpleasant smell, and the plumbing left much to be desired — the shower was not working, and the toilet was leaking. Breakfast turned out to be a real challenge: unappetizing food and lack of choice. Overall, the atmosphere in the hotel was depressing, and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. It's better to spend the money on something more worthy!

It looks like a simple hotel, probably a former Soviet hotel, has very nice rooms, where everything is necessary and trouble-free. We had an economy class room, so the suites are probably something more interesting.
What didn't you like? The lack of elevators. Yes, it's not a multitask. But people who come are always carrying things that weigh a lot, tired, from the road.
An elevator would be nice.

Nice hotel. The location is great. We stayed for a few days with a cat (not all hotels are allowed with animals, and even more so with cats). Not a euro renovation, but everywhere is clean and without leaky sheets, etc. They were settled quickly, the girls at the reception are friendly and ready to tell everything.
BUT there is a huge disadvantage: there is electricity in the room if a card is inserted. There is a refrigerator in the room. If you are not in the room, then the refrigerator does not work and everything in it will die.

For a short stop, the option is acceptable. The rooms are clean, good textiles (for whom it is important), there is a cooler in the corridor, vending machines at the reception - coffee, water, snacks. Even alcoholic beverages. Of the disadvantages, there is no elevator, and signs with reminders of the benefits of climbing on foot look like a mockery when you have to drag a suitcase up the stairs with you. There is practically nothing on the menu in the cafe. But what we managed to order is quite edible.
If you forgot your slippers, toothbrush, you can buy everything at the reception.

Of the cons: high audibility, especially when the neighboring rooms and the corridor are vacuumed in the morning. There is also a special card on the key that is inserted into the disconnector in order for electricity to appear in the room. Accordingly, if you are not in the room, then there is no electricity. And finally, there is a large bed in the room, but there are 2 small mattresses on it, and personally I fall into this hole in the middle.
Personally, I concluded that it's not worth the money.

First of all, it is worth voicing a couple of points that may be controversial for tourists. First, the hotel is located in close proximity to the railway station, that is, sometimes you will have to fall asleep to the sound of train wheels. It's up to you to decide whether it's good or bad. The second point is that the hotel building is a completely converted five-story college dormitory - just look at the neighboring building nearby. And here a nuance arises - You will hear the neighbors behind the wall quite well (but we were lucky: most likely, we lived almost alone on the floor, but on the day of departure there was a check-in in the next room - you could hear what the neighbors were talking about without much effort behind the wall). The third point is that you better take your own slippers, because on the ground floor, for a fee, you will be offered a very distant resemblance of slippers (a weak cloth resembling a napkin, with a weak connection to the sole; of course, it will do for a couple of days, but they will not withstand prolonged wear). There is no elevator.
But the rest of the hotel can be praised - the room is generally well done, the cleaning was quite thorough; there is a hairdryer, floor fan, mini fridge, small TV. WiFi is also available, but with a rather weak signal. In the room, electricity was connected using a key card (although the question arose about the use of the refrigerator - on the one hand, it seems to work independently of this "system" (as we were told), but when checking in personally, our refrigerator was suspiciously warm. Therefore, we were given another key card so that the refrigerator would work constantly during our absence and in a couple of days it had already been "developed"). In short, the hotel is fully working out its 3 stars.

We liked everything. The room is clean and cozy. Cooler with hot and cold water on the floor. With the windows closed (double-glazed windows), you can't hear any noise from the street. There is an air conditioner in the room for cooling (or heating). The mattress with a mattress and pillow is comfortable. All that was missing were disposable slippers and a toothbrush with toothpaste in the hygiene kit. When we arrive in Gomel, we will be happy to stay at this hotel again!
