Normal. You can leave for another city until late in the evening by minibus or taxi. There is a 1500 minibus to Shymkent, an average of 2500 taxis.

This is not a bus station, but some kind of passageway courtyard where Uncle Stepa/ Kenzhehan agai, a local bandit, sits and collects taxes for his pocket from cars and minibuses. It's terrible! Brazen taxi drivers who are rude to passengers and can kick them out of the bus if you start to get indignant! Tourists swear at them, but it's no use, because there is no control there!
