GOLDFISH IS A kindergarten WHERE PEOPLE ARE DECEIVED. Istanbul.
Dear parents, who wish to send their child to a Russian-speaking kindergarten in Istanbul, I want to warn you and tell you our story related to the Goldfish kindergarten. We are a family from Russia, we flew to Istanbul and planned to stay there and get a residence permit. Fortunately, there were no problems with this in mid-December.
We really wanted to send the child to the Russian kindergarten for psychological comfort and chose the "Goldfish". It was extremely unusual for us to pay half a year in advance at once (the garden breaks prices without hesitation and does not make any concessions), but there was no choice - then everyone was given a residence permit without any problems and we decided to pay. Since 2022, when Istanbul was filled with Russians and Ukrainians, the garden has been doing very well - there have been a LOT of children there + they have started to raise prices. The head of the kindergarten, Elena Nikolaevna, often told many parents herself: "Until it started, no one needed us."
In general, everything went well at first... the child walked, studied.
We lived for 1.5 months in Istanbul and it turned out that at the end of 2022, Turkey abruptly stopped issuing a residence permit and we realized that we would have to leave the country for another place in order not to become violators of the migration law. We were sure that we were reaching 3 months and Elena Nikolaevna would return us 3 unspent months, because according to the law we simply cannot stay in the country + she herself is from Russia or Ukraine - she understands how difficult it is morally and financially for parents to pay such money in Turkey. Moreover, the garden is full of children (the garden is financially thriving as never before and this is not a loss, because another child will immediately take our place). Even the administration of the building, where we also rented an apartment in advance, met us halfway and returned everything (although they are all Turks).
But no. Elena Nikolaevna said that she was not interested in all this. My husband is a lawyer and started referring to the laws and what do you think? On the same evening, the kindergarten administration put the child out with things and said that it was our last day!
To say that we were shocked is to say nothing!! Considering that only 1.5 months out of 6 were spent.
So they refused to return anything at all! Moreover, there is not a word in the contract that what we pay is non-refundable.
I told this story to other Russian-speaking parents from kindergarten and people were horrified by this behavior!
For more than a week we tried to get in touch with her - she did not pick up the phone or dropped it. An adult 50-year-old man and the head of a children's institution…
Other parents who managed to get a residence permit were afraid to interfere, fearing that their children would be treated the same way.
With the fight, nerves and scandal, they practically threw money in our face, paid for 1.5 months, which we did not reach, and for the remaining 3 we did not get it back. 17 thousand lire were returned to us.
We consulted with lawyers in Turkey and were told that she would never have dared to do this to a Turkish citizen, because she would have been brought to such responsibility that she would not have been happy. And then she realizes her impunity and most likely, we are not the first and not the last with whom she does this and throws money.
At that time, 1 month in the garden cost 11550 liras, that is, we were deceived by more than 30, which is more than 150 thousand rubles.
I've heard that Russians or Ukrainians abroad are the hardest to throw their own, but I never could have thought that a kindergarten and an adult woman, supposedly a teacher, would do this.
She also told her husband: "Do you know whose kindergarten this is? This person cannot have a business and advertise it. You have already been refused a residence permit - so sit quietly, otherwise I will make one call and you will have problems and leave the country much faster!"
Please be careful! Do not trust a child in an institution where people and children who are trying to save their families in other countries and hope for support are treated this way. And the scariest thing for me is that these are my own people.

A couple of days later, as I started posting our story everywhere, Elena Nikolaevna found out about it and again through friends, and not personally (for some reason) began to prove that:
1. Allegedly we are lying and everything was returned to us, which of course is not the case. Only 17 thousand Liras were returned to us.
2. In other comments, she already writes that she is not obliged to return anything.
3. She writes that she kicked us out because we are unattractive parents, although until we started talking about a refund, everything was fine.
4. I'm not talking about the transition to personality.
The administration of the 2 groups where the situation was discussed, apparently at her request, threw my husband and me out of the community. So he understands that he is wrong.
If the correspondence has not been deleted, it can be found here:

If someone wants to help us highlight this situation, we will be happy to provide details.
Here is a detailed calculation with dates and payments:
We paid Elena Nikolaevna 69,300 lira in advance for 6 months of Bogdan's training.
Based on this payment and the term, the cost of 1 month of training = 11550 liras.
On December 21, 2022, he began going to the garden (it is written in the contract by her hand).
On January 21, 2023, the first month of the visit expired.
On February 8, 2023, she kicked us out of the garden. That is, in the second month of the visit, we spent 15 days out of 30 (on average), that is, half a month.
Of the 6 paid months, in fact, we were leaving only 1.5.
Because the service was not provided, we were supposed to return the amount for 4.5 months, that is, 4.5 * 11550 liras = 51975 liras.
We were refunded 17,500 liras in cash.
Accordingly, 34,475 liras remained owed. (!) These are the bare facts.
I repeat the IMPORTANT THING:
There is nothing about non-refunds in the contract.
We did not have the opportunity to attend the kindergarten after 3 months of study, not on our own initiative, but according to the migration legislation of Turkey. In other words, insisting that we continue to go to the garden for all 6 months is pushing us to break the law. It is for this reason that the prepayment for the apartment was returned to us without any problems.
We contacted the head of the garden in advance to discuss possible options, and not to put anyone in front of the fact at the last moment. Instead, they just threw us out with threats to keep quiet so that it wouldn't get worse.
They did not give us any application to fill out, they did not provide any calculation and an explanation why the remaining money was not returned. 17 thousand were returned with a filing: "At least be happy about that!"
When we told her: "We will talk about this situation," she said, "Your feedback will not make the weather worse for me." Then why is she trying to refute this story everywhere and asking familiar administrators to block our comments with evidence?
