What scratched glasses, especially those of bears, I had to try to see along the edges of the frame. There is a strong smell in the bird area, like in a chicken coop, which is natural, but for allergy sufferers (especially in the heat) I recommend not going that way.
You can feed giraffes and elephants for an additional fee, as well as take pictures with them.
Of the advantages: there are many small animals with fairly large valliers - the zoo area is huge, gazebos are also often found, you can sit and have a snack.

There are fewer animals in the building, where insects, snakes are very stuffy, there is not enough air. Animals are either sleeping or they are not particularly visible, like lions for example. I was pleased with the Amur tiger and the bear. It is clear from the animals that there is little care for them, apparently they are also fed little. The zoo in Shymkent has already become better than in Almaty. The zoo is more well maintained there. In general, there were more expectations. I hope it gets better every year, we'll see.

A wonderful exotarium (sanitary day is Monday) and an aquarium. The aquarium has been completely renovated and now there is a very beautiful aquarium with jellyfish.
