A great option for the money, a cozy guest house, a hearty breakfast, a very friendly host. Quiet place, very clean. The owner will always tell you about various tourist issues (taxi, how to change money, etc.)
The hospitality of Uzbekistan is impressive throughout the trip, and Khiva did not disappoint either. It's called a "guest house", but the name still smacks a bit of a hotel. And here, in fact, is a real house, an Uzbek courtyard, in which the owners accept you as an old acquaintance. Just like in the song "Whether it was the Crimea or the Caucasus before, whatever is praised is yours immediately." In the sense that as soon as any question arises, Athanazar perceives it as a personal task and completely devotes himself to finding a solution, raising the whole of Khiva, as it seemed to me. The same attitude to the preparation of luxurious breakfasts, the search for excursions, what to visit in the city, where to eat, etc. Warm people, communication is not reduced to a simple check-in / check-out. Evening gatherings, conversations. I just asked, there is a guitar, and after several calls from the owner, after 5 minutes we already had a doira (such a local tambourine) and something else local five-stringed, the name of which I forgot, and after 15 minutes and a guitar. During our short vacation, we tried to accommodate as many cities as possible, and as a result, we spent 2-3 days in each. Perhaps this is not quite the right approach, because communication was clearly not enough, and not everyone looked at it. So when we repeat the trip to Uzbekistan, in the season when everything ripens there (otherwise we only got to mulberry and strawberries here), we already know exactly where we will stop 😊
A very cozy hotel. There is a lot of competition in the Old Town, so they try very hard. They will always help everywhere, they will never refuse. The room is small, but everything is there. Very tasty breakfasts are prepared by the wife and daughter-in-law of the owner.
The guest house is located in the very center of the old town. The rooms are very clean and cozy. The owner speaks Russian well.We recommend it to everyone.
