In general, the hotel is 3 stars, fulfills its main goals: to spend the night, to eat.
The location is wonderful - in the European historical center - there are many cafes, attractions and shops around.
The rooms are clean, though a little beaten up by life, there is air conditioning, a TV (there is TNT in Russian), a kettle, a hairdryer, a lot of outlets. Upon arrival, we were given drinking water, shampoo, coffee and tea. Regarding the cleaning, we had a slightly strange situation - the room was not cleaned for the first two days (although we left for the whole day), on the second day we approached the administrator, everything was sorted out, since then the room has been cleaned every day.
As they correctly said in other reviews about food, you will not stay hungry. Breakfast buffet - cold appetizers, salads, fruits, two types of hot (not always meat), breakfast cereals, coffee, tea, juice, water, desserts - 8 types (buns, donuts, cakes).

A small hotel in the historical center of Istanbul. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are not very large, but everything you need is there. The rooms are cleaned every day. The beds are comfortable, you slept well, but be prepared that every day around six in the morning you will be woken up by the call to morning prayer. Respecting the traditions, we woke up, listened and fell asleep again). The breakfasts leave much to be desired, but you will not stay hungry. The staff is friendly. The most important thanks and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dmitry, the hotel administrator. He helped with everything: where to go, what to see, where to change, how to drive, route diagrams, what to try, where to buy, etc. We received answers to all the questions we were interested in. So the impressions of visiting Istanbul were the best.

A wonderful hotel. There are friendly receptionists at the reception, they will always help. The rooms are clean, the bed is snow-white, as well as the towels that were changed every day. The breakfasts are very tasty and varied. The atmosphere in the hotel is very wonderful. The hotel is located in the center of historic Istanbul. All amenities are nearby within walking distance. We stayed at the Albatros Hagia Sofia Hotel from January 18 to January 24, 2017. We were lucky with the weather +10+12 without rain, sunny. The hotel itself is not big, the room is clean, cleaned every day, the staff is friendly. Beds with orthopedic mattresses!!!, fell asleep in a moment after intense excursions and walks!!! We had a triple room, a free safe, a large TV, good hot water pressure, and no balcony. A normal room, everything you need is there. The usual breakfasts were in the cafe on the 1st floor, we ate too much (omelette, eggs, cheeses, sausage, salads, olives, olives, vegetables, fruits, sweets, tea, coffee...) in the evening we played backgammon on the closed outdoor veranda. The tour was taken from Fun&Sun-everything is fine, as always.
And now about the main thing- a trick, a business card of the hotel, a magic wand for a Russian tourist and a very good person - the hotel administrator Dmitry!!!
From the whole family (Sergey, Natalia. Anna), we express our deep gratitude to Dmitry, health, and all the best!!! Dmitry solved all our problems and even more!!! A pleasant companion, attentive to the guests of the hotel, will answer all questions, tell you how best, how to move less around Istanbul (and this is important!), where it is profitable to change currency, buy, eat.... It makes you feel confident in Istanbul. And we've been to many places!
We booked 3 excursions in advance in Moscow at the tour desk With......, all the days were scheduled, because this is our first time in Istanbul and we came to see the sights of this beautiful city.On January 18, we flew to Istanbul in the evening, and on January 19, we were supposed to be picked up from the hotel for a 9-hour tour, but they didn't come to pick us up. When I called the organizers, they told me that they had a kind of technical malfunction? Nonsense! the day is disappearing-horror. Dmitry comes up to us and asks what happened, we describe the situation, don't worry, I have similar excursions-choose. The next day we go on an excursion from Dmitry, and the price is also $35 lower!!!!!(it's very pleasant, because there are 3 of us). And on this day, he advised us to visit the Topkapi Palace on our own (2000lr entrance ticket per person), Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which we did. As a result, we refused all the excursions ordered in Moscow and took similar ones from Dmitry. We were happy as elephants, we were picked up from the hotel on time, Dmitry called us in the room in advance and informed us when we would be picked up for the tour. It's very nice. The tours are excellent, the guides have a historical background, a good Russian language, and most importantly, they tell us interesting stories, and we are absolutely delighted. Dmitry has many excursions for every taste and the price tag is pleasant, we took:
1. A great trip around Istanbul-breakfast, lunch on a boat with sightseeing.
2. Suleymania- following in the footsteps of Sultan Suleiman and Khurem.
3. Evening Bosphorus with dinner on a boat, concert and disco is great.
We visited many attractions on our own.

The hotel is located in the European historical part of Istanbul, Fatih district! Within walking distance from the hotel to the left 3 minutes: Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Ibrahim's Palace, Hippodrome Square, Khurem Sultan Hamam, opposite Hagia Sophia is the Basilica Cistern, tram stop T1. If you go to the right from the hotel and take the first turn to the right, down the street 7-10 minutes walk to the Lakantasi Balkan cafe, located on the left side- the food is off your head and much cheaper than in the cafe, the portions are large, there are Migros on this street-we bought pomegranates, strawberries, olive oil 2 liters 500 lire (there was special offer), near the station of the Marmaray Sirkeci line and Galatsky Bridge-ate at the balik Ekmek cafe-150 lira. If you go to the right from the hotel and take the first left turn, there is a mini market on the corner-we bought everything we needed, a 5-minute walk down the street, and you come to the Grand Bazaar. It is profitable to exchange currency at the Grand Bazaar for $ 100- 3700 liras, the nearest exchanger is to the left of the hotel, the exchange rate is low- for $ 100- 3300 liras. The issue of dollars is not accepted until 2013.
For those who are flying for the first time. We arrived at Istanbul's new Havalimani airport, the airport of the city (it's huge, you can get lost), go out to the reception area, Exit 14 to the right to the end, go outside and you are met by representatives of tour operators.

I just arrived from Istanbul. I lived in this beautiful hotel. It was very nice that after arriving after a night flight, I was checked into my room at 6 a.m. The breakfasts are quite decent, the attitude is sincere, they congratulated me on my birthday by decorating my room. The plumbing is fine, the shower cabin is brand new. Towels were changed every day. The location is great, on the one hand, after 3 minutes, you are already walking along the street with the shops of the Grand Bazaar, on the other hand, the Basilica cistern is also close and all the main sights of Istanbul are nearby. I will definitely choose this hotel next time.
December 2024 . So my next trip took place, and again I chose my favorite hotel. It was very nice that I was put in the same room, as if I had returned to my apartment. The three of us stayed at this hotel. The hotel is decent, the rooms are not super new, but clean, there are slippers, soap accessories. The breakfasts are good, you won't stay hungry. The room is small, but enough.
The breakfasts are very good and satisfying. The service is good. We've been to different hotels in Turkey, Europe, and Russia. But there are only two small cups without saucers and one spoon for two in the room??? There are no glasses. The 4-star hotel somehow does not pull. In the shower there is only shampoo and soap, shower gel, etc. - no.

The location is very convenient, the nearest attractions are just around the corner. The rooms are normal, I personally felt comfortable, the TV did not work on arrival, the next day it was made for us. We booked a family room on the ground floor. It was very convenient, the children slept separately, each had their own bed, as parents we got a bedroom with a double bed, and my brother got a separate bedroom with a toilet and a private shower. The location is a huge plus, a 5-minute walk from Hagia Sophia, but the sign is inconspicuous, we searched for a long time for a hotel, walked three circles around this house before we found it. The breakfasts are ordinary, you won't be hungry. But in the evening tea is 30 lire. On the first day, there were 2 tea bags in the room, they did not bring any more, they bought water at a supermarket nearby. A 3* European hotel. When buying a tour to Istanbul, this hotel was booked for us...but before the trip itself, they were refused without explanation. As the tour operator said, they did not fulfill the agreement with him and sold the room more expensive to other customers. At least - dishonestly! We have been in different hotels in Europe and Turkey, such a deception that allegedly it is 4 stars I have not seen for a long time. It's real. The bathroom is just awful, the rooms are micro-sized even for three. Under the windows, they wash and peel corn on the floor all night. At the same time, they shout and make noise. Breakfasts have one name. I've never tasted such terrible coffee anywhere. You can't drink at all. The terrace that many people book is closed! At the same price, a lot of hotels really have 3 stars.
