In general, the hotel is 3 stars, fulfills its main goals: to spend the night, to eat.
The location is wonderful - in the European historical center - there are many cafes, attractions and shops around.
The rooms are clean, though a little beaten up by life, there is air conditioning, a TV (there is TNT in Russian), a kettle, a hairdryer, a lot of outlets. Upon arrival, we were given drinking water, shampoo, coffee and tea. Regarding the cleaning, we had a slightly strange situation - the room was not cleaned for the first two days (although we left for the whole day), on the second day we approached the administrator, everything was sorted out, since then the room has been cleaned every day.
As they correctly said in other reviews about food, you will not stay hungry. Breakfast buffet - cold appetizers, salads, fruits, two types of hot (not always meat), breakfast cereals, coffee, tea, juice, water, desserts - 8 types (buns, donuts, cakes).
A small hotel in the historical center of Istanbul. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are not very large, but everything you need is there. The rooms are cleaned every day. The beds are comfortable, you slept well, but be prepared that every day around six in the morning you will be woken up by the call to morning prayer. Respecting the traditions, we woke up, listened and fell asleep again). The breakfasts leave much to be desired, but you will not stay hungry. The staff is friendly. The most important thanks and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dmitry, the hotel administrator. He helped with everything: where to go, what to see, where to change, how to drive, route diagrams, what to try, where to buy, etc. We received answers to all the questions we were interested in. So the impressions of visiting Istanbul were the best.
A wonderful hotel. There are friendly receptionists at the reception, they will always help. The rooms are clean, the bed is snow-white, as well as the towels that were changed every day. The breakfasts are very tasty and varied. The atmosphere in the hotel is very wonderful. The hotel is located in the center of historic Istanbul. All amenities are nearby within walking distance. I recommend it!
We stayed at the Albatros Hagia Sofia Hotel from January 18 to January 24, 2017. We were lucky with the weather +10+12 without rain, sunny. The hotel itself is not big, the room is clean, cleaned every day, the staff is friendly. Beds with orthopedic mattresses!!!, fell asleep in a moment after intense excursions and walks!!! We had a triple room, a free safe, a large TV, good hot water pressure, and no balcony. A normal room, everything you need is there. The usual breakfasts were in the cafe on the 1st floor, we ate too much (omelette, eggs, cheeses, sausage, salads, olives, olives, vegetables, fruits, sweets, tea, coffee...) in the evening we played backgammon on the closed outdoor veranda. The tour was taken from Fun&Sun-everything is fine, as always.
And now about the main thing- a trick, a business card of the hotel, a magic wand for a Russian tourist and a very good person - the hotel administrator Dmitry!!!
From the whole family (Sergey, Natalia. Anna), we express our deep gratitude to Dmitry, health, and all the best!!! Dmitry solved all our problems and even more!!! A pleasant companion, attentive to the guests of the hotel, will answer all questions, tell you how best, how to move less around Istanbul (and this is important!), where it is profitable to change currency, buy, eat.... It makes you feel confident in Istanbul. And we've been to many places!
We booked 3 excursions in advance in Moscow at the tour desk With......, all the days were scheduled, because this is our first time in Istanbul and we came to see the sights of this beautiful city.On January 18, we flew to Istanbul in the evening, and on January 19, we were supposed to be picked up from the hotel for a 9-hour tour, but they didn't come to pick us up. When I called the organizers, they told me that they had a kind of technical malfunction? Nonsense! the day is disappearing-horror. Dmitry comes up to us and asks what happened, we describe the situation, don't worry, I have similar excursions-choose. The next day we go on an excursion from Dmitry, and the price is also $35 lower!!!!!(it's very pleasant, because there are 3 of us). And on this day, he advised us to visit the Topkapi Palace on our own (2000lr entrance ticket per person), Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which we did. As a result, we refused all the excursions ordered in Moscow and took similar ones from Dmitry. We were happy as elephants, we were picked up from the hotel on time, Dmitry called us in the room in advance and informed us when we would be picked up for the tour. It's very nice. The tours are excellent, the guides have a historical background, a good Russian language, and most importantly, they tell us interesting stories, and we are absolutely delighted. Dmitry has many excursions for every taste and the price tag is pleasant, we took:
1. A great trip around Istanbul-breakfast, lunch on a boat with sightseeing.
2. Suleymania- following in the footsteps of Sultan Suleiman and Khurem.
3. Evening Bosphorus with dinner on a boat, concert and disco is great.
We visited many attractions on our own.
Attractions near the hotel:
The hotel is located in the European historical part of Istanbul, Fatih district! Within walking distance from the hotel to the left 3 minutes: Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Ibrahim's Palace, Hippodrome Square, Khurem Sultan Hamam, opposite Hagia Sophia is the Basilica Cistern, tram stop T1. If you go to the right from the hotel and take the first turn to the right, down the street 7-10 minutes walk to the Lakantasi Balkan cafe, located on the left side- the food is off your head and much cheaper than in the cafe, the portions are large, there are Migros on this street-we bought pomegranates, strawberries, olive oil 2 liters 500 lire (there was special offer), near the station of the Marmaray Sirkeci line and Galatsky Bridge-ate at the balik Ekmek cafe-150 lira. If you go to the right from the hotel and take the first left turn, there is a mini market on the corner-we bought everything we needed, a 5-minute walk down the street, and you come to the Grand Bazaar. It is profitable to exchange currency at the Grand Bazaar for $ 100- 3700 liras, the nearest exchanger is to the left of the hotel, the exchange rate is low- for $ 100- 3300 liras. The issue of dollars is not accepted until 2013.
For those who are flying for the first time. We arrived at Istanbul's new Havalimani airport, the airport of the city (it's huge, you can get lost), go out to the reception area, Exit 14 to the right to the end, go outside and you are met by representatives of tour operators.
Istanbul is beautiful, we will definitely come back again, we will recommend the hotel to friends and acquaintances.
It is located in the very heart of Istanbul. Nice clean rooms , polite friendly staff, and of course a huge thank you to Dmitry, he will solve any of your problems , tell you and show you the places to visit , a profitable exchanger, how to get by metro And so on, everything to him, thank you very much, it was a super vacation
I just arrived from Istanbul. I lived in this beautiful hotel. It was very nice that after arriving after a night flight, I was checked into my room at 6 a.m. The breakfasts are quite decent, the attitude is sincere, they congratulated me on my birthday by decorating my room. The plumbing is fine, the shower cabin is brand new. Towels were changed every day. The location is great, on the one hand, after 3 minutes, you are already walking along the street with the shops of the Grand Bazaar, on the other hand, the Basilica cistern is also close and all the main sights of Istanbul are nearby. I will definitely choose this hotel next time.
December 2024 . So my next trip took place, and again I chose my favorite hotel. It was very nice that I was put in the same room, as if I had returned to my apartment. My room was decorated for my birthday and a very pleasant delicious gift was waiting for me! The atmosphere is wonderful, Dmitry will always tell you, explain, and help! I will definitely come back, the hotel is already like home!!!
The three of us stayed at this hotel. The hotel is decent, the rooms are not super new, but clean, there are slippers, soap accessories. The breakfasts are good, you won't stay hungry. The location is just great, all the sights are within walking distance. The staff is very polite and friendly. Thanks to Dmitry, he told us where to go and where to buy something. We are grateful for a great time. We will be happy to come back again.
It's a good place. Not premium, but decent. In the center, all the main attractions are within walking distance. The owner of the hotel, Dmitry, is a very pleasant and polite person. He told me where to eat delicious food, where good souvenirs at reasonable prices are, and most importantly, where the exchangers with the best prices are. Thank you for the rest
The room is small, but enough.
The breakfasts are very good and satisfying. The service is good. We've been to different hotels in Turkey, Europe, and Russia. But there are only two small cups without saucers and one spoon for two in the room??? There are no glasses. The 4-star hotel somehow does not pull. In the shower there is only shampoo and soap, shower gel, etc. - no.
But the rest is fine, the room faces the street. It's not noisy. We like living in this hotel.
The location is very convenient, the nearest attractions are just around the corner. The rooms are normal, I personally felt comfortable, the TV did not work on arrival, the next day it was made for us. We booked a family room on the ground floor. It was very convenient, the children slept separately, each had their own bed, as parents we got a bedroom with a double bed, and my brother got a separate bedroom with a toilet and a private shower. Cleanliness, polite staff, cleaning is carried out at the request of customers, if you do not want to be cleaned, it is enough to hang a sign so that you are not disturbed. The breakfast is very hearty, I had enough of this breakfast for almost half a day. I am very happy about this))The atmosphere is homely, everyone is friendly. They help with everything if there are any difficulties. If I go to Istanbul again, I will choose this hotel again.
Nice hotel, in the historical part of Istanbul! There are many attractions within walking distance:Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Ibrahim's Palace, Hippodrome Square, etc. The hotel itself is not large, the rooms are clean and cozy...
Great hotel! Everything is perfect for me: the location, Sultanahmet district, all the sights are as close as possible. The rooms are clean and cozy. The breakfast is very tasty and varied. I will be happy to come back here again!
The main advantage of the hotel is its location. All the beauties of the old city, the Bosphorus, the sights are within walking distance 🔥
The room stock is tired. Renovation is required. Cleaning, linen, towels without complaints. There's no point in taking breakfast, it just doesn't work, I've never seen anything so weak anywhere. It's easier to go to a nearby cafe and have a normal coffee with something really good.
There are no complaints about the staff.
A small, cozy hotel. It is located in the Fatih district, the historical center of Istanbul. The main attractions are 5-7 minutes away on foot. There is a metro station nearby, from which you can drive one station under the Bosphorus and find yourself on the Asian side. The room is standard, small. The room has air conditioning, a refrigerator and a plasma TV. There are Russian channels. The staff is friendly, cleaning every day. I recommend you to visit
The location of the hotel is very good, all the sights are within walking distance. Very friendly staff, daily room cleaning, free tea. Of the cons: the hotel does not pull in its 4 stars, like everything in the area, since the bed linen has not been changed, the breakfasts are meager, but you will not stay hungry. I had to be reminded periodically about the provision of drinking water and shampoo in the room. But at the first request, the staff brought everything. In general, the hotel is not bad, there were good impressions about the trip.
The excellent location of the hotel in the historical center of the city, all historical attractions are within walking distance. The hotel does not match its category, maximum 3 stars. The rooms are small, only shampoo and lump soap from the shower accessories, the bed linen is not snow-white. There is a split system, TV, hair dryer, mini fridge. The breakfasts are meager, but you will not stay hungry. I recommend the hotel to visit, but the hotel only matches the stars.
A wonderful hotel, the rooms are certainly small, but there is no point in sitting in a room in Istanbul. The beds look great with orthopedic mattresses. The staff is very friendly, they help with everything. There is a private terrace where you can sit in the evening. The breakfast is hearty and quite varied.
The hotel is tired, everything is old and ragged. It's not very pleasant for me. The staff is very attentive and the cleaning is done every day. The breakfasts are ordinary, you will not stay hungry. The main feature of this hotel is the location, well, the most convenient. The very center. Attractions within walking distance, metro 5 min. Well, another nice bonus of this hotel is Wonderful Dmitry, he is a Russian hotel employee and it is so convenient. A pleasant companion, will help with any question and will direct you to the best tour for you. It will tell you how to move around Istanbul correctly and where everything is located.
Excellent location, good breakfasts, helpful staff, perfect bed - these are the advantages.
On the downside: a tiny shower stall, hygiene: only soap and shampoo. Therefore, take toothpaste, brushes, needles with threads, and a machine with you. Be sure to have a hairdryer, because the one in the room is antediluvian.
Great location! St. Sophia's Church is 300 meters away. The Bosphorus is 500 meters away. A Russian-speaking manager with extensive experience. A good breakfast. The rooms are not new, but they are clean. In the room, the toilet is protected from the room by frosted glass. It's embarrassing. Generally
Excellent location of the hotel! All major attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is very nice: polite staff, delicious breakfasts, cozy rooms!
Convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfasts are great, you won't stay hungry. Helpful staff! We saved the cat one night with the administrator together, we were fully involved in the process 😅
Very nice hotel, friendly staff. Special thanks to Dmitry, he suggested where you can exchange currency profitably, advised a good panoramic restaurant!
The location is a huge plus, a 5-minute walk from Hagia Sophia, but the sign is inconspicuous, we searched for a long time for a hotel, walked three circles around this house before we found it. The breakfasts are ordinary, you won't be hungry. But in the evening tea is 30 lire. On the first day, there were 2 tea bags in the room, they did not bring any more, they bought water at a supermarket nearby. A 3* European hotel. The manager at the reception, Dmitry, sent money to "his" guys on the first day at an allegedly favorable rate, we did not find them, but closer to the Egyptian market, the rate is even more profitable in exchangers.
The rooms are very small and not cozy. There are no blankets, they give ordinary sheets that are not washed, The air conditioner is noisy. There is no view from the terrace. Breakfast is on the ground floor. In any case, do not take a trip to the hammam from them. It's not worth the money, it's in the basement, it's completely out of line with the Turkish bath, it's anti-sanitation. Massage is done by Balinese women who do not know much about real massage.
We had a family vacation in November 2023, we chose this hotel, we were very worried because we were in Istanbul for the first time.
But we were pleasantly surprised at how cozy and clean the hotel is 🤩
The polite staff, especially Dmitry, fell into the soul of the administrator, were pleasantly surprised to meet a Russian in another country ) Dmitry became our guide and guide to Istanbul and, plus, a pleasant companion.
We got along well with this city and will definitely come back again and only to this hotel
The food is rotten (eggs, cottage cheese), we are poisoned,
2-week-old pastries
, not even fresh bread.
The sausage is cotton wool..
Only fruits are normal..
I don't recommend eating the rest.
Single-glazed windows: Corn is constantly unloaded and loaded outside the window in the morning and evening, and it is thrown roughly, Very noisily
single room converted into a 2-seater, 1 chair for two, 1 teaspoon
The price is 8,500 per day for two people.. : expensive, there is cheaper and better quality, even in the center
The accommodation was poor: they refused to give the room keys right away, and waited for all the passports to be handed over..
cleaning was at 16:30 the first few days, although we asked in the morning..
A one-night hotel, no more.
At least a very strange solution with a toilet behind glass instead of a wall.
The room is tiny, the wallpaper is dark and oppressive.
The cafe on the ground floor is uncomfortable. The breakfast included in the price is very mediocre.
And the whole hotel is tiny, with corridors as wide as a train. The interiors are gaudy and flashy. I feel like I'm in a madhouse.
A wonderful family-run hotel in the heart of Istanbul, within walking distance of the main historical attractions. We arrived early in the morning and were checked in immediately, despite the check-in time at 14.00. Special heartfelt thanks to the chief manager Dmitry for this, with his help and participation all problems are solved, he can and is always ready to answer all questions, with his participation a warm family atmosphere is created in the hotel. If we are still in Istanbul, we will definitely return to this lovely place.
Excellent location of the hotel, 3 minutes from Hagia Sophia, the rooms are clean and cleaned every day!The breakfasts are monotonous, but delicious. There is only one disadvantage: it is impossible to open the curtains during the day, because the windows of the room did not face the building of the neighboring office.
When buying a tour to Istanbul, this hotel was booked for us...but before the trip itself, they were refused without explanation. As the tour operator said, they did not fulfill the agreement with him and sold the room more expensive to other customers. At least - dishonestly! We changed it to Lalahan hotel and did not regret it. The place turned out to be even better than the albatross.
A small, cozy hotel. The rooms are small. The breakfasts were pleasant, delicious and satisfying. Very convenient location of the hotel, near Sultanahmet Square, the historical center.
There is no terrace, the furniture is like after flooding. The hotel has a maximum of 2 stars.
The description on the site does not correspond to the real situation.
The composition of the breakfast, the location near the sights and the polite non-Russian-speaking staff are beyond complaints.
The walls in the room are cardboard, you can hear everything. There was 1 blanket for two, there were no more blankets, thin blankets were given, it was cold in the room. The breakfast is average, without variety, but you won't leave hungry either. The location is great.
The hotel does not deserve more. Dirty stairs, the room is very small with a view into a terrible nook, the breakfasts are not like in the photo, the minimum assortment, no apples, no dried fruits. The room is clean, but everything is very old. The bathroom is a glass partition from the room, which makes it very small and all sounds are clearly audible as nearby.
Everything looks much better in the pictures, but in real life, everything is shabby, with holes in the baseboards, and everything looks cheap. If it wasn't for the location, I would have put even fewer stars
Apart from the location, there are no advantages at all. Definitely not 4 stars! A maximum of 2. We have been in different hotels in Europe and Turkey, such a deception that allegedly it is 4 stars I have not seen for a long time. It's real. The bathroom is just awful, the rooms are micro-sized even for three. Under the windows, they wash and peel corn on the floor all night. At the same time, they shout and make noise. Breakfasts have one name. I've never tasted such terrible coffee anywhere. You can't drink at all. The terrace that many people book is closed! At the same price, a lot of hotels really have 3 stars. I don't understand why this hotel has positive reviews at all.
We stayed at this beautiful hotel from September 16, 23rd to September 19, 23rd. We were very pleased with the excellent attitude of the service staff, especially we would like to mention Andrey Sidorov, deputy director for work with tourists.
His mental qualities are simply captivating, communication is in Russian. Very attentive, kind, will help in any situation. I want to say that I gave five stars, but the phone shoots four stars, and so five is fine
The location is normal, the breakfasts are not bad, hearty.
The rooms are designed for overnight stays only.small, sit only on the bed, there are no hooks in the bathroom.
Wonderful receptionist, Russian Dima, a sincere guy, please contact him.

Great location.
All the sights are nearby. There is a park nearby. There is a tram stop, food and a shop nearby. There are 3 tram stops to the metro or 20-25 minutes on foot.
The room is small, there is water and a kettle. Cleaning every day.
The breakfasts are ordinary, but you won't stay hungry. There are a lot of restaurants around, but if you go further away, you can eat more budget-friendly.
The hotel has a good location. It is located in the very center of the old town. The street is quite noisy and crowded, but the rooms are always quiet.
There are many shops, cafes and restaurants around.
The rooms are clean, but not the most cozy. The breakfasts are so-so.
For your money, the hotel is normal
A small, cozy hotel, in the heart of historical Istanbul, next to the hotel there are plenty of cafes, the Al Sofia Mosque as well as other attractions within walking distance. They speak Russian at the reception. The breakfasts are monotonous, but enough.
Without a doubt, the hotel does not pull in four stars, but given its location, it is quite good for itself.

Thanks to manager Dmitry. He greeted us very warmly and settled us in at an early check-in. I changed the room to an improved version according to our wishes. He told me where the profitable exchanger is, there is a supermarket and an excellent pharmacy. The breakfasts at the hotel are very modest without variations. There is no tea or bar. In general, the location of the hotel is good, everything is close and within walking distance
