The hotel guide from Coral Travel advised you to go to a cheap jewelry store (they say you won't find it cheaper in Dubai). It was the first time in the country that they thought they were offering the most famous jewelry market, which they really wanted to see. They agreed.
A very comfortable car came for us free of charge and took us to the store. By the way, it wasn't what we were thinking. It turned out to be a large jewelry store, inside it was beautiful and very European, there was nothing from the East except carpets (because the neighborhood with a carpet store).
A consultant immediately approached us and very politely and persistently offered to buy something. By the way, when I noticed the prices, I was stunned. This is something fabulous: give 2500 dirhams (more than 60 thousand rubles) for a small pendant of dubious beauty (well, gold!). Something doesn't look like the "cheapest store" according to Coral. Well, of course, business on tourists is such a thing. In short, the products are beautiful and not very good, but in the European style, you should not expect local flavor.
The prices for everything are Mega big, a consultant runs around with the words "oh, don't look at the prices, we'll make a discount."
For some reason, there was increased attention to me due to the fact that I did not get out of the phone, the consultant directly asked me to remove and pay attention to her, by the way, she had this attention, just not from me. Meanwhile, I was studying reviews on all platforms. By the way, there is Internet everywhere in the UAE, right there, the Internet is not open. Well, I had my own mobile phone, so this problem did not become.
Let's go back: we were persistently led through the rows, the consultant is very polite, attentive, but annoying horror :)) As a result: we bought a necklace (my mother insisted very much, despite the fact that I warned her). Its price was about 3700 dirhams (about 100 thousand rubles), it was possible to reduce it to 30 thousand, which, in principle, is plus or minus as in the Russian Federation, so we bought it. You can pay by transfer with a Russian card, but somehow the transfer from dirhams to rubles with a wild margin (30 thousand turned into 34) well, okay. We were treated to coffee, a beautiful box, and so on.
I'm still suspicious, if the necklace doesn't fall apart after a while, it'll be nice. They give a 5-year warranty, but will anyone go to the emirates to change a chain or a ring?)) They are not allowed to take pictures of products yet (why?)
I give three stars for the transfer, service and the opportunity to finally buy something at a reasonable price. But if you have a choice, don't come.
I want to warn everyone against shopping in this store. Initially, they cheat with prices, first they put an inadequate price, then they make a discount just for you for your beautiful eyes, but even with this discount for such quality, it is 30% more than the real market value.
In 2021, I bought an emerald ring from them for $ 800. In the same year, after wearing it for only the third time, one stone just fell out of the ring on the table when I was drinking tea. And if it had fallen out and I hadn't found it, but about that further ...
I could only come to the store in January 2024, they refused to change it to another ring, saying that for such a cost they had nothing with emeralds and only repairs were possible. The repair lasted almost all day, all this time we were stuck in the store and every time we were told that it would be ready in half an hour, in general, the rest day was lost. During the "repair", they pressed the nettle that holds the stone and damaged it, but I realized this when I put it on for the fifth time in the same year, the nettle broke off and the stone fell out accordingly and I could no longer find it. On the phone, an employee who introduced himself as Director Kirim said, come and see what can be done.
I had to take a tour to the Emirates again, upon arrival I wrote to Kirim, to which he replied that for $ 500 they were ready to repair it again. It was generally arrogance, for a defective ring I still have to pay about the same amount as the ring actually costs. I don't recommend even talking to Kirim at all, because he lies so blatantly and sincerely thinks that no one notices it.
In total, we agreed with other sellers to exchange for another ring with an additional payment of $ 100.
As a result, when I showed the new ring to a specialist, it turned out that they again slipped a ring with scratches on emerald and gold of lower quality than the previous one, respectively, the new ring is cheaper by an order of magnitude of the old one and they also charged me an additional fee. Draw conclusions about this office. It's terribly disgusting.
And yet, the sales girl mistakenly gave us both a new and an old ring, when we were already at the hotel, she wrote hysterically and called us to return the old ring, that the cost of the ring would be deducted from her. It's a purely human pity for the girl, we returned the ring. But why does no one feel sorry for us, they sell us rubbish.
To summarize. Buying an expensive thing is not something that brings joy, but only problems for one place.
If you need trouble, WELCOME to al mumayyaz jewellers l.l.c. I will definitely never tell anyone what kind of attitude from former compatriots is very disgusting.
Just a bunch of charlatans, a tour operator on a percentage hike, heals to the maximum!!Don't get fooled there, I'm completely cheating..you can find the same thing in malls, but it's cheaper by 10 thousand!!!
They have price speculation there!!if the tour operator offers to go immediately, refuse, the purest market with high prices and questionable goods!
Lying sellers....
