It takes a very long time to receive an order. When we were at the second table in the institution, it was still fine, but when we were at the fourth or fifth table, the writing was gone. We waited 35-40 minutes to place an order. After about 15 minutes, our order arrived. AN HOUR HAS PASSED AND WE HAVE EATEN!! Instead of immediately approaching and taking an order from new guests, dishes are served ready for other tables. As everyone writes here, the tables are dirty (not wiped at all), down to oil and greasy stains from past visitors. Indeed, for what kind of service they charge 10% on top - I have no idea. We went twice, we will not go the third time in any case! Our time is too precious.
It takes a very long time to receive an order, half of the menu is out of stock. The waiter accepted the order, and almost immediately asked to pay, because she allegedly had to leave.
I'm sorry, but they just opened, it wasn't even half past eight in the morning. At the same time, she did not go anywhere, she sat watching us.
From what is still there, it is not possible to eat. For the first time, in this sincere and hospitable country, they did not finish even half of the dishes, because it is simply not possible to eat.
The waiters were inexperienced and incompetent. Our dishes were served with a long delay, although there were 2 other tables in the hall besides us. The quality of the food was low, and the prices for the dishes were above average.
And now for the pros:
To make the mosquitoes dissatisfied with the food, we put a repeller on them.
The guest house is on a solid three. I'll write the pros first: modern well-maintained yard with normal garden furniture. Very convenient location, near a hydrotherapy clinic, transport, market, there are many cafes and canteens around. The hosts are pleasant, although we did not see any special hospitality, they placed it well. It's 10-15 minutes to the sea at a normal pace and in the heat it's really annoying, about 800 meters. Now the cons: there is no kitchen for self-cooking, from the word at all. The electric tile with two burners is heated for half an hour. It's not even realistic to cook scrambled eggs, I waited 40 minutes for it to warm up and cook. I consider this a mockery of the guests. There are no appliances, the knives are terrible in the amount of 3 pieces, crooked and blunt. Glasses, stacks, mugs, plates in limited quantities, but you can ask the waitresses in the cafe if you want to go and beg. I was just shocked, as a result, everyone bought their own at the market. There is one pot and pan for all 10 rooms or for 30 people. The kitchen itself is 3 sq. m., one table, one antediluvian refrigerator without a freezer at all. In general, if you want to cook yourself, then you definitely are not here. There is a cafe at the guest house, you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner, apparently it is convenient for the owners to order food from them, and not cook themselves. Rooms: We lived on the second floor. The room for two is normal in size, there is an extra bed. There is no closet and hangers in the room, just a chest of drawers, very uncomfortable. There is no TV, no safe, no refrigerator. Bed, bedside tables and chest of drawers, everything!!!! The bed CREAKED SO much that it was impossible to just turn on your side without a wild squeak. We rested for 13 days, the bed linen was not changed once, we really did not ask, but!!!!!! No one but you will do the cleaning in the rooms. There is no audibility in the rooms, the neighbors are talking in another room, you can hear everything in yours. The bathroom is clean, there is enough space, there is always water, but if you close the window, the stench is terrible. The people here are different, mostly pleasant and friendly. The sea is so-so, in Pitsunda it is a thousand times cleaner, there are no toilets on the nearest beach, there are 2 changing cabins, there is always a queue in them. The prices are atomic for products, but the factory wine is inexpensive (Apsny) and delicious and just awesome pastries, khachapur and chebureks. Bottom line: I recommend the guest house to those who do not plan to cook themselves and have a good budget, because a vacation in Gagra will cost you the price of a vacation in Thailand. We will not go to Gagra anymore, we did not get such a vacation. In Gudauta, New Athos, and in Pitsunda everything is much cheaper, Gagra is the most expensive city in Abkhazia.
The service is at the lowest level, as we do not come, so we are waiting for the waitress who, when talking, constantly looks at the floor and always confuses checks when calculating. More than half of the dishes are constantly missing. The dishes are cooked for half an hour. They were kicked out before closing without explaining anything. I do not recommend it.
Cozy hotel, cafe in the courtyard, 5-7 minutes to the sea, 7 minutes to the market. Friendly hosts) a shady courtyard. The rooms have air conditioning, shower, toilet.
The best place, quiet, peaceful, pleasant atmosphere. The food is just wonderful, I recommend it to everyone. Homemade drinks such as wine and chacha are just awesome!
We visited this cafe 12 years ago for the first time and then went every year, there was a great cuisine, such a warm homely atmosphere. We were disappointed last year. The kitchen went bad, the service was terrible, the rude waitress did not come for a very long time. We found out from the locals that the owners of the cafe died, and their children began to study, who probably don't care what their parents created.so sorry
It's very tasteless. It's just disgusting borscht, dumplings made of paper, as if.It's better to pass by.We were near the hotel, so we went in once, but we were very sorry. The compote was delicious, and at least the dumplings were not raw.Not really!
It's delicious, the meat in Abkhazian and the Abkhazian salad are my favorites. The waiting time depends on the number of guests. It's usually longer in the morning. No baking due to power outages this year. The view of the mountains is amazing!
A great place to relax. Near the sea, the market. Not bad coffee, but often not all the dishes on the menu. It is annoying that cafe visitors can walk all over the territory.
The staff is not very good, the drinks are fine, the cleanliness is good, the food is not very good, sometimes it can be very late near the sea very well, and because of the food and the staff I give four stars
Very sluggish service and for a long time ! We ordered two chicken chops and waited for about an hour , when the child went to find out how much longer to wait , they answered sooo rudely !
We had breakfast here. The cooking quality is not bad.
I didn't like it - the long wait, the lack of napkins on the tables (or at least they were given a napkin along with the dish), despite the fact that 10% of the service fee is included in the bill when paying for the order.
While we were having breakfast, we never saw the staff wipe the tables after the visitors left.
Good afternoon! The food is not delicious, we ordered spaghetti with ham in cream sauce (we still have to manage to do this), borsch is absolutely zero. Among the advantages: vegetable salad, but it depends more on the quality of vegetables and feijoa compote. I do not recommend visiting.
Delicious food, I wish the service would keep up (2019). We also visited the dining room in 2021. The kitchen is still mostly pleasing. But the staff is terribly slow. It is not clear for which service they charge 10% of the bill. The dish can be brought cold, the tables will not even think to wipe until you ask. The menu is printed with errors. To place an order, you have to wait 30 minutes, you wait almost the same amount for your order, and another 10 minutes to pay off. I really hope that the owners of this place will read this review and change for the better. So far, only regression is visible!
The food was mediocre, we sat on 07/22/2022 the waitress did not want to do everything, I did not wait for my juice, we took food, waited more than we ate and asked for 10% for service when there is no one else, I will not come and I do not advise you
It's a pity that you can't put -5, that's why there's only one star.
Spoiled tangerine juice-mash, cold potatoes in chicken soup without chicken. Disgusting rude service of an ungracious blonde girl and 30 rubles for her "wonderful" service.
I highly recommend it.
I visited this guest house in 2017. Then I didn't like the smell in the bathroom. a knot, synthetic bed linen, dirty curtains... Perhaps there have been changes for the better now!
A cozy hotel, a cafe right there. The food is very tasty, the staff is friendly, they treat the guests very well. We rested more than once, I want and want to come here.
I came to have lunch, waited for 15 minutes, went to ask for the menu myself because there was no menu anywhere, I came up and asked, to which I received the answer "no menu is allowed, I'm busy, I'll come up later" well, OK, I think I sat for another 15 minutes, of course no one came up, the attitude as if for the whole of Abkhazia is the only one a place to eat, I highly recommend this place for food.
We were surprised by the prices, very tasty and not expensive! The dishes are very large and it is very difficult to eat everything) A quiet, clean and beautiful place in the Camping area of Staraya Gagra.
Great place, extremely delicious food. Very warm and homely service, good prices. The average check is 250-300 per person (first, second, side dish and compote)
I recommend it to everyone, excellent rooms, good hosts, a dining room in the courtyard, literally 5 minutes to the sea, as well as to the market, so book and come to me for coffee ;)
The food is delicious, the portions are huge, but the waiters are kind of slow, unsmiling, sometimes even rude (but this is like in many establishments in this city)
We came here for breakfast on the first day of our vacation. I really liked the omelet with chicken, mushrooms and cheese - it's incomparable) Even oatmeal for 5 points. To top it off, a delicious homemade compote. Pleasant staff and, of course, prices. Let's go in again!
