It takes a very long time to receive an order. When we were at the second table in the institution, it was still fine, but when we were at the fourth or fifth table, the writing was gone. We waited 35-40 minutes to place an order. After about 15 minutes, our order arrived. AN HOUR HAS PASSED AND WE HAVE EATEN!! Instead of immediately approaching and taking an order from new guests, dishes are served ready for other tables. As everyone writes here, the tables are dirty (not wiped at all), down to oil and greasy stains from past visitors. Indeed, for what kind of service they charge 10% on top - I have no idea. We went twice, we will not go the third time in any case! Our time is too precious.
It takes a very long time to receive an order, half of the menu is out of stock. The waiter accepted the order, and almost immediately asked to pay, because she allegedly had to leave.
I'm sorry, but they just opened, it wasn't even half past eight in the morning. At the same time, she did not go anywhere, she sat watching us.
From what is still there, it is not possible to eat. For the first time, in this sincere and hospitable country, they did not finish even half of the dishes, because it is simply not possible to eat.
The guest house is on a solid three. I'll write the pros first: modern well-maintained yard with normal garden furniture. Very convenient location, near a hydrotherapy clinic, transport, market, there are many cafes and canteens around. The hosts are pleasant, although we did not see any special hospitality, they placed it well. It's 10-15 minutes to the sea at a normal pace and in the heat it's really annoying, about 800 meters. Now the cons: there is no kitchen for self-cooking, from the word at all. The electric tile with two burners is heated for half an hour. It's not even realistic to cook scrambled eggs, I waited 40 minutes for it to warm up and cook. I consider this a mockery of the guests. There are no appliances, the knives are terrible in the amount of 3 pieces, crooked and blunt. Glasses, stacks, mugs, plates in limited quantities, but you can ask the waitresses in the cafe if you want to go and beg. I was just shocked, as a result, everyone bought their own at the market. There is one pot and pan for all 10 rooms or for 30 people. The kitchen itself is 3 sq. m., one table, one antediluvian refrigerator without a freezer at all. In general, if you want to cook yourself, then you definitely are not here. There is a cafe at the guest house, you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner, apparently it is convenient for the owners to order food from them, and not cook themselves. Rooms: We lived on the second floor. The room for two is normal in size, there is an extra bed. There is no closet and hangers in the room, just a chest of drawers, very uncomfortable. There is no TV, no safe, no refrigerator. Bed, bedside tables and chest of drawers, everything!!!! The bed CREAKED SO much that it was impossible to just turn on your side without a wild squeak. We rested for 13 days, the bed linen was not changed once, we really did not ask, but!!!!!! No one but you will do the cleaning in the rooms. There is no audibility in the rooms, the neighbors are talking in another room, you can hear everything in yours. The bathroom is clean, there is enough space, there is always water, but if you close the window, the stench is terrible. The people here are different, mostly pleasant and friendly. The sea is so-so, in Pitsunda it is a thousand times cleaner, there are no toilets on the nearest beach, there are 2 changing cabins, there is always a queue in them. The prices are atomic for products, but the factory wine is inexpensive (Apsny) and delicious and just awesome pastries, khachapur and chebureks. Bottom line: I recommend the guest house to those who do not plan to cook themselves and have a good budget, because a vacation in Gagra will cost you the price of a vacation in Thailand. We will not go to Gagra anymore, we did not get such a vacation. In Gudauta, New Athos, and in Pitsunda everything is much cheaper, Gagra is the most expensive city in Abkhazia.
