The price corresponds to the quality. Convenient location, friendly staff. It is located next to Retiro Park, 10 minutes from the Prado Museum. All attractions and shops can be reached on foot, within half an hour.
Delicious breakfast.
A nice, comfortable hotel on a fairly quiet street, a ten-minute walk from Atocha train station and Paseo del Prado, where one of the most famous art museums in the world with the greatest collection of masterpieces of classical Spanish painting is located: Velasquez, El Greco, Murillo, Goya... Across the street is the Reina Sofia Center for Contemporary Art, where you can see Picasso's Guernica, not far away, almost opposite the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, another wonderful art collection. From here, it is very close to the city center, Porta del Sol square and other places of interest.
The hotel left an ambivalent impression. The breakfasts are quite decent, but the stairs to the breakfast room are high and steep. Change of linen in the room once a week (!) at 4*. This is the first time I've seen this. Room cleaning is mediocre, I had to ask for additional floor cleaning. By the way, laminate flooring on the floor and in the bathroom, but marble tiles on the walls, laid very carelessly. Overall, this is not a 4*. The staff is quite friendly, it is enough to solve all the questions of the guests.
