The place is super, we were sitting on the cot outside, very cozy and colorful. There are no questions about food, nor about service. Everything is fast and delicious.
I liked the cafe so much that we only went to it in Samarkand :)

There are no comments on the kitchen. But the service did not work right away:at first, the waiters waited a long time to place an order ("I thought you had already ordered"), and then, when it turned out that there was no ordered corn for the barbecue, I asked them to bring the menu to choose something in return. I managed to choose a new dish, my mother managed to finish her order, and the barbecue was already brought here... and the waiter (whom I asked at least 2 times to call through other staff) was still not there. It was only when I asked another passing waiter why pay the 10% included in the receipt for a service that was not there that my waiter appeared. And he told me that he had been away for so long because he was talking... with my mother, whom I haven't seen for a long time.
Of course, I understand that the guy is bored, family ties are sacred, but why should the client suffer because of this?
We ruined lunch, the mood and the first impression of the restaurants in Samarkand.

The food is delicious. The cuisine is mixed (European and Uzbek). Baklava is wonderful, the most delicious I've ever tasted. The service is wonderful, everything was explained and prompted. There are two halls: the first, at the entrance, is more calm, music is playing in the second (apparently, a show program). We were in January, the room is warm and cozy, unlike the two places where we were the day before, it's cool there in jackets.

Firstly, the service is terrible.

Recently we visited Afrosiyob cafe and tasted lagman, fruit tea and brain bones on coals. Lagman was pleasantly surprised by the rich taste with the perfect combination of spices, tender meat, with perfect noodles and fresh vegetables. The fruit tea was a great accompaniment, it was refreshing and slightly sweet thanks to the natural fruits. The marrow bones on the coals are simply delicious, with a delicate texture and smoky aroma. We recommend Afrosiyob to explore Uzbek cuisine!

A wonderful restaurant! One of the best in the old city of Samarkand. If you sit on the veranda, you will have a view of the Bibi Khanum Mosque, towering over the modern city, and the city market. The view is unique. The restaurant itself is located on the territory of the ancient city of Afrasiab, which was here before Alexander the Great founded Marakanda (the original Samarkand). All this creates a special atmosphere.
The restaurant has cozy beds, beautiful carved columns and beautiful views. The food is good, although there is not everything on the menu. They cook well, but it also happens to be tastier (for example, in a Plane tree). However, the prices here are not high at all — you can eat well for 100-150 sums ($ 7-10).
In addition, there are several historical sites within walking distance from this place: Afrosiab, Holy Khizr, Shah Izinda, the market and Bibi Khanum.
In general, I fell in love with this place, and I hope you will like it too.

The food is normal. Barbecue for 4. There are a lot of meat dishes and lamb and beef and chicken. The staff is nimble, helpful, friendly, but not all young waiters communicate well enough in Russian - they have to resort to the help of their elders. The atmosphere is pleasant, although the room is not very cozy because of the huge areas. The toilet is decent, which is a rarity for Uzbekistan and even Samarkand - many cafes /restaurants even in the very center near the Rijistan Square do not have a toilet - one for 10 pieces in the entire district. The waiting time is surprisingly short - but this seems to be typical for Uzbekistan.

We waited for the waiter for 15-20 minutes until he came to us and took the order. They even tried to somehow attract attention, but in vain. We made an order from the menu, where half of the dishes were on the stop list, after 20 minutes another waiter came up and said that 70% of our order was missing. Among other things, the meat was a dish of lamb ribs, but they brought us practically bare bones with the remains of burnt meat. It is impossible to eat, and there is nothing. There was a piece of plastic bag in the vegetable salad... They did not finish the dishes. To say that the service and taste of the dishes are not very good is to praise this institution. They did not swear, so as not to spoil the already spoiled mood at all. They paid, got up and left hungry.

If you are nearby and hungry, this is definitely the best place in the area. I wouldn't go on purpose, but if you're here, don't look for another one. This is the fifth catering establishment that I have visited in the district and the first one after which there is no deep disappointment.
The interior is very good (4+/5- ).
The menu is more or less varied. Of the minuses, many main dishes by weight and less than 0.5 kg are not offered. That's a lot for one person.
The service is better than standard. And it's even good. I must say right away that in general, the service in restaurants in Uzbekistan is lame. There was a review here that no one rushed to serve. Yes, it happens. We have to lure the waiters. I didn't have to do it here. He came and did everything quickly. I was clearing the table. I didn't mess with the check. Well done.

The food - the salad was made of oak tomatoes, the kebabs - excellent, the chakka - good, I liked it. Everything is decorated. The portions are normal.
The prices are good. 18,000 - kebabs, 16 - salad, 10 chakka.
The restroom is a guard. Urgently repair and call a plumber.
It was daytime, it was free. I don't know how it was in the evening.

10/10 service (quickly, sensitively, they allowed us to eat the strawberries we brought with us, while washing them and putting them on a plate).
The institution specializes in kebabs, which becomes clear not only by the name of the place, but also by the menu (here you will find nothing but kebabs among the main dishes, there is no pilaf / manta. But a wide variety of kebabs, salads and several soups)
Kitchen 9/10 (delicious salads, fresh vegetables, gorgeous display of meat in the window, I want to buy and try everything at once, actually we did so) -1 point is removed only for a slightly over-dried beef kebab, the rest was super.
There is no alcohol (at all).
The interior is excellent, two large halls inside and a large veranda (unfortunately did not work during our visit due to renovation)
I recommend you to visit.
