A great hotel in New Athos. We were very satisfied, especially after moving from Sukhum and comparing it with another hotel (Ritsa in the center near Brekhalovka). 3 stars fully justifies, the best option is value for money, it differs in a more modern design of the business as a whole.
We lived as a family in a junior suite on the 4th floor, there is no elevator (who suddenly cares). The room is spacious, with panoramic windows overlooking the sea and mountains in the Anakopian fortress. The views impress even seasoned travelers. There is a little noise from the road, but the windows are well closed, and dark blackout curtains are also from the headlights.
The air conditioner works perfectly (in the heat +35-38 g), there are dishes in the room, towels, bathrobes in unlimited quantities at any request of the staff. The breakfasts are ordinary, there are porridges, dairy dishes, coffee brewed in a coffee maker, mors.
At night, the lights are turned off from 1 to 3 a.m., so the air conditioning and Wi-Fi are also temporarily turned off (this is the easiest option from all of Abkhazia, in other places it is worse).
It would be worth updating the carpet, stains and wear.
The hotel is close to all attractions (fortress 25 min, cave 12 min, Simon's cell 20 min, monastery 20 min), near a park, waterfall, pond with swans, while the hotel is directly on the beach, there is an equipped passage below the road. The sea is clean, I saw only boards from the rental, wooden sun beds 100 rubles a day (never asked). The cleanliness of the beach leaves much to be desired, but this is for the whole of Abkhazia.
Athos is generally conveniently located for trips to the mountains, lakes, rafting, and more.
Special thanks to the staff (the administrators at the reception and the team Leon, Ivan, and the third, unfortunately, I do not remember the name), responsive, sociable, very helpful, there was no request that they did not fulfill, really a team that strives for improvement and listens to customers.

A stunning new stylish hotel!
Sea view, huge loggia, floor-to-ceiling windows.
The hospitable staff, good food in general (the breakfasts are sad, since there is nothing closer to 10 in the morning), the noise from the road was very disturbing, but the sunrises inspired not to pay attention to all this. Convenient location.

A good hotel, but the room stock is already pretty worn out, the oboe is damaged in some places, the baseboards are defective, in general everything is normal, clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly and attentive.
The location is straight top, near the sea, local attractions, cafes and restaurants, all within walking distance.

I really liked the hotel. In my opinion, the best I've seen there
Of the advantages:
Location (close to the sea and many cafes)
Cost (much cheaper than in Sochi, with the same level of comfort)
Views from the window (even in the cheapest rooms there are gorgeous mountain views)
Cons:
Wi-Fi was extremely unstable
Power outage (but as I understand it, this is a problem for the whole of Abkhazia)
The TV didn't work (but it's not that important)
General impressions: we were very satisfied with the hotel, as well as with visiting this country in general.

We were vacationing with my wife in May, a young couple. We really liked everything, the hotel is very nice and sincere. 1. Of course, if you dig into the details or national peculiarities, provoke people into negativity, you will get the same in return. This is the only difference between the "service" in this country, no one will tolerate you! - 2. Someone gets a "mountain view", and someone sees only "chicken coops" there - with the same number ...)) 3. Offer for price and quality. It's silly to compare three stars in Barcelona and New Athos. It's just the best ratio I've ever seen. Our vacation was great! We will be happy to come back again.

The hotel is relatively new. The rooms are not bad. But there is no sound insulation. The neighbors can be heard strongly. It is not possible to sleep at all from the noise of the road and passing traffic. The breakfasts were good, everything was fresh. It is very close to the sea, but the govnyanka river runs along the hotel, which flows into the sea where everyone swims. I'm not going there anymore.

We have been renting the hotel every year almost since its opening.
This year they doubled the price due to the included meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
I think, well, it's convenient to eat at the hotel.
But... the food is very modest, monotonous and not tasty.
It's not worth that kind of money!
There are usually a lot of fruits and drinks on vacation .
Sometimes oranges and apples are made from fruits.
Drinks : water , compote , coffee , tea .
Compote and coffee are strongly diluted with water, so that even in a cup after coffee there is no thick.
Everything is not salty, from the word at all!
Meat : chicken, pork, sometimes the ventricles and liver are smoked. Meat can be old.
Pickles and tomatoes I didn't understand why they were on vacation in the heat.
Salads are of the same type and modest.
Baking: homemade rolls without filling on unleavened dough. Sometimes a cupcake.
Pancakes are made of rubber.
Delicious: pancakes, sausages, cupcake, chicken soup.
The rooms need updating: the wallpaper, the carpet on the floor has not been cleaned since the opening of the hotel (it is dangerous to walk on it, you never know what kind of fungus).
The plumbing is tired.
The room has: safe, hairdryer, hygiene.accessories, kettle , tea , sugar, coffee, water only upon arrival.
Towels are changed every three days, bed linen every four days.
The audibility is excellent in the room)
WiFi is intermittent.
The location of the hotel is excellent, it is good for New Athos. But we need to solve something with nutrition and price.
Paying 8,900 per day with meals is too much!
If nothing changes, we will look for another place.

I hope my review will help you make the right choice. The hotel is located near the road and this makes it very difficult to relax, as it is a constant noise in the rooms whose Windows overlook the sea and, accordingly, the road. The hotel is clean. Towels and bed linen are white, not worn. From soap accessories, they give a small piece of soap , shampoo and shower gel. In a simple room, there is a very uncomfortable wardrobe, it will not work to hang a dress as there is only room for a T-shirt. There is no elevator in the hotel and it is very inconvenient with a child. The reception is open 24/7. The maids are very friendly. In the rooms, you can hear very well what is happening in the next room. The hotel does not have its own beach. And we had to run along the coast with a small child in search of a place to stay! Accordingly, there are no towels for the beach. The hotel has its own dining room, which operates on the principle of a buffet. But I do not recommend taking meals here. Porridge is boiled in water, which the child does not want to eat. Everything that is made from minced meat is all peppered. The choice is very modest, but it is not delicious. My conclusion is that the hotel is only to stay, spend the night and leave. The hotel is not ready to receive guests with young children and a vacation at the sea.

I didn't like the hotel, there is no sound insulation in the room, you will listen to music from the bar across the street all night, the food is meager and monotonous, one day the "wings" that were at lunch were baked for dinner and served with a side dish. I would also like to note that the room has a very small TV, and there are no Russian channels, so if you get sick with rotavirus (like us, for example), you will have absolutely nothing to do. As a result, for 9 thousand per day, you get a room, and a "sad" breakfast, there is nothing else in the hotel. They clean well, the maids are friendly. The hotel is not worth the money.

There is a buffet for breakfast/lunch/dinner (not only for guests), the prices are very attractive. We came for breakfast, very meager - cereals, jams, eggs, sausages, pasta (they look stuck together), casserole, a couple of porridges, sliced sausage and a couple of vegetables. Compared to other hotels in Abkhazia, this is not satisfying for me at all.

An excellent hotel, considering that this is Abkhazia.
In rooms with sea views, the noise from the road is better with a view of the mountains, there is a chorus of frogs in the summer and Wi-Fi "rainbow" was caught there quite well (this is a neighboring hostel), and at the hotel Wi-Fi is very unstable.
The sea is opposite the hotel across the street.
The staff is helpful and pleasant.

We are currently vacationing at this hotel - it is a wonderful place! Special thanks to Administrator Daut.He heard our wishes on the check-in number, helped with the organization of a tour of Abkhazia.
Room cleaning and replenishment of funds are used daily. Linen and towels are changed regularly.
The rooms are equipped with a kettle, a refrigerator, a clothes dryer, a hairdryer, a safe and air conditioning.
The hotel is located in a wonderful location: one window with a view of the sea, the other with a view of the mountains, the temple and the fortress. The location is amazing: the city center, near a restaurant and several cafes, within walking distance of shops. And also within walking distance of most of the attractions. The beach is located across the road, which can be crossed by an underground passage.
The lack of breakfast in the hotel is not a problem at all. There is a kettle in the room to make tea or coffee. And if this is not enough, then there are cafes and canteens nearby.
The entire hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. Great hotel!

A very cozy, modern hotel. Right on the beach. The room is standard, everything is as it should be. Clean, cleaned every day. The view towards the mountains is slightly spoiled by a couple of local vegetable gardens and dilapidated houses. The view of the sea is certainly gorgeous. There are a lot of restaurants and two very economical canteens next to the hotel.

Standard rooms are terribly small, there is no way to get through, there is practically only one pencil case for storing clothes, beds are written off like on a bunk and 3 adults still manage to put one in such a room for an extra place in the form of a wooden cot without a mattress... The food is monotonous every day, the same thing, mostly chicken and wings, cutlets and lula are sometimes terrible, and pork stew is not the first freshness! Wi-Fi is only practically at the reception! The rooms are cleaned every day... In general, the hotel is modern, it stands by the road, cars drive all night, you sleep like on the road, audibility is 10 points. The sea is across the street, there is no private beach, sun beds 200 rubles...

The first time when we were in Abkhazia, my wife saw this hotel and asked me very much to stay in it on her next visit, well, that's what we did.
Advantages : beautiful appearance and design of the lobby, that's probably all.
Disadvantages:
We first checked into a room with Windows overlooking the sea and the road, we were able to last only one night, unreal noise from the road, night racers simply do not allow us to sleep.
They moved with access to the courtyard, now at least silence at night.
The mattress, if you can just call it wooden, is impossible to sleep.
The bathroom is so-so, it hasn't been renovated for a long time.
We also had breakfast. The same food was repeated all day, nothing interesting.
In general, apart from the appearance, there is nothing else to do there, from where such a high rating on the booking is not clear.
There is only one TNT channel on TV.

Visited in March 2021. A new hotel. Everything is clean and tidy. We lived in a junior suite with a wonderful view of the mountains. The kitchen was not working at that time, they promised to launch it by the summer. So we ate at the restaurant next to the hotel. It was delicious.

I love this hotel! The rooms are standard, like in a good Sochi hotel. There is a kettle, a hairdryer. Curtains protect from the sun, so I always get enough sleep there) at any time of the day, you can return to the hotel. The room with a view of the sea is a bomb, with a view of the mountains - peace and tranquility, at night you can see the fortress of Anakopia on the mountain. As you leave, on the right is one of the best restaurants in Athos, where they cook very tasty with a solid serve.
