I was at this airport with my wife who was flying to have a complicated spinal surgery. Therefore, I was not up to the service in this airport

A huge airport, convenient service, attentive staff, a comfortable waiting room and an inspection system (I did not have to open up, etc.). Shops are not cheap, especially the food court on the upper level under the open sky overlooking the runway was pleased
The airport is huge, so it's better to arrive in advance for departure. And do not forget to put all your tubes of creams, lipstick, etc. in a plastic bag before inspection, so as not to delay. The prices in Duty Free are not very high (prices are often lower in Hamburg stores for the same items).
The airport is quite large and not new for a long time, but generally convenient. There is an area with cafes on the second level. The staff is like everywhere else in airports, like robots))
I didn't like it: poor organization of Aeroflot passenger check-in. The employees were not friendly and were openly rude. They said that they did not understand Russian. The economy coassa reception desk actually worked alone.
And it is unclear why passengers on domestic and intercity flights undergo customs inspection together. This causes a lot of crowding. There are no signs for passengers where to go after check-in. Impressions of the airport remained negative.
I liked everything at the airport. It's intuitive, there are plenty of pointers, it's impossible to get lost. Everything was worked out promptly. The moment is when you go to the departure area, take a look at the aisles and go where there is no queue. Surprisingly, most go to the first 2-3 aisles and create a stir and queue.
What surprised and upset me a lot was the passport control. The fact that it is after duty-free is still nothing, in the European Union it is mostly so. Passport control for EU citizens - in automatic mode - is of course a good thing (for them). Moreover, there are 5 turnstiles. But for the rest of the people at passport control there are only 2 employees for 6 or 7 (I don't remember exactly) exits. Moreover, they do not work at all fast. Because of them, our flight was delayed by more than half an hour. Only for this 3.
Otherwise, it's fine. The train station is at the airport itself, there are enough check-in counters, etc. The airport is large, but there are a lot of flights, so it corresponds.
Wi-Fi is free for three hours. It doesn't catch on the street. The bad thing is that it is impossible to get a taxi free with departure to Moscow on an evening flight, since everything is closed from eight and you have to run even to terminal 2. You can also get a customs seal after passing through border control. Customs officers arrive at the storage 10 minutes before the flight
Everything is fine in general, but how annoying it is that the shops are all BEFORE boarding inspection. Do not expect to buy a vinyl after you are examined. There's a clean zone further on, until your flight is announced, you'll be sad on the bench at the boarding gate.

A large and cozy airport. Polite staff. There are many cafes and shops.
The airport is not very big, as well as duty-free shops, not bad pizza is prepared on the 2nd floor. On the 1st floor there is a small cafe with 5-6 tables probably for sushi lovers
The airport is like an airport. There is a supermarket on the ground floor where you can take salads and cold snacks to lunch boxes. It turns out to be more profitable than ordering at the airport in a cafe. Good transport accessibility from the airport
The passport control is very strangely located - right before the departure gate and, in German, unhurriedly and thoroughly. Thus, you need to enter duty free with caution and a large margin of time, which is almost always not available. And so, in general, everything is thought out and convenient. Better than in Frankfurt, definitely
Everything is great. There was one time. When the rented car was handed over, I soon discovered that I had forgotten something there. I was kindly helped to find this car and return my things. It was an interesting adventure.
There was a problem with the e-ticket. The first control was passed without problems, but when boarding the plane, the ticket on the scan did not work out. The staff conducted the registration manually.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from. What nationality or what kind of sneakers are you wearing? They will treat you like a family here and will always help you. Thank you, Hamburg
The entrance to the inspection is slow and the queue could have been better organized. We spent about an hour in line, it's good that we were at the registration in advance and took our time.
It's a little more complicated than the Berlin metropolitan airport, but I figured it out. You get a taxi after your luggage is checked at a separate counter. The checkout counter is next to gate 21, if my memory serves me correctly, after the DutyFree and the security area.
