The best hotel in Gagra. Beautiful well-maintained territory. We rented an apartment - spacious, cleaning every day, everything works, clean, the staff is very pleasant, responds quickly to everything. The only thing was removed specifically from the kitchen to cook for an allergic child and the filling of the kitchen is very very minimal - there is no microwave, minimal appliances such as a colonel, a corkscrew, one knife and a refrigerator only bar and for some reason not in the kitchen. The pool is warm and clean. Umbrellas and sun beds on the sea. There were always enough sun beds everywhere in June. The tea house and restaurant are very tasty and inexpensive.

Great hotel. Service, rooms, location, staff, daily cleaning, reasonable prices - all five plus. Practically on the territory of the hotel there are two excellent restaurants with excellent cuisine, their prices are really not low, dinner for two is 7-10 rubles. I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, the beach, the pool, the green area. A rare hotel in Turkey, Greece or Egypt (five stars) in terms of service and comfort can be compared with "Abaata". For myself, I decided that if Abkhazia is a vacation, then only the Abaata hotel. Thanks to the staff and the owners of the hotel for a wonderful vacation.

I really liked everything, we were a family and also a dog. The room is clean, cleaned in the morning, although the high humidity did not dry things on the dryer. We were on the ground floor, because of the dog. The prices are normal. The heated outdoor pool, the children enjoyed swimming there, near the sea shore, it is very beautiful, there is a restaurant and a teahouse on the territory, most of all they ate in the teahouse.

The excellent location of the hotel, the interesting Mediterranean style of the houses, lots of greenery, a good SPA, but the rooms and their equipment leave much to be desired. It was not possible to sleep on the mattress, he turned around all night, as if he was from the past, from the USSR, all the equipment made sounds all night, which also interfered with sleep (the air conditioner made noise with various mechanisms and the refrigerator made mechanical sounds).

A lot of reviews like everything is super. Having read them, we decided to "change" Our Abkhazian favorites and visit Abaata. I am writing honestly as it is, since the favorites have not changed😂
Arrival, well, really, you can make a kind of ramp, people don't all travel with hand luggage, and dragging their stuff through 2-4 decent steps is so-so... Well, the quest, find the reception, was also pleased, since the administrators are pleasant. They settled in.. For 15 minutes we just laughed and realized.. "CHALET" is very loud for this building. A door with a broken handle and cracks in the doors that a cat's paw will crawl through! The room is clean, that's all. Linoleum, terribly old, dirty, loud conditioner, no brush, no paste.. The audibility is 200%. We knew the bathroom schedule and all the neighbors' preferences!
Beach.. On the grass, yes, it's not bad. The rest is rocks, you can't go in and out of the sea for sure.
The SPA is good, but if the receptionist is a nice woman, and the girl on the phone, who is basically not interested in anything. The steam room does not work, the hammam, the door to the pool is closed, she does not care... 🤣 go to bask in the outdoor pool through the reception, thank you for not going through the restaurant!
Tea house, horror. . In short, when ordering lagman from the "soup" section, they brought porridge made of potatoes and spaghetti, period.
The result is an instagrammed, well-groomed hotel with pleasant staff.

This is probably the best thing for Abkhazia. The place is beautiful, the territory is very well maintained. A good spa complex, we went all the days of our stay. It is better not to take a suite above the spa. There's wild humidity, running all over the windows after the night. We were moved after the first night at my request. The view was not so good, but the second room turned out to be dry. I think if we go to Abkhazia again, we will live only there.

Nice hotel. We are coming for the second time. We lived on the 3rd floor. You can iron clothes in the hallway.
The cooler is on the second floor.
There is a varied menu for breakfast. Delicious delicate cheesecakes, jams made of tangerines, berries. For both children and adults.
There are enough sun beds and umbrellas on the beach for everyone.
And, of course, the sea is amazingly clean.

Everything is fine and I agree with everything about the beauties. We lived with my husband in the standard in the 3rd building. We went into the room and were very surprised - there is a minimum of furniture (a small table with a TV on it, no kettle, no additional dishes, no small cupboard with 4 hangers) One large bed with a single common soft mattress (although we had asked for two hotel beds in advance) It's not a bed, it's a trampoline of some kind. My husband had to work on the computer, he was placed on the bed, because there was nowhere else, I could not lie down and sleep, everything was shaking, I would have gone to sleep on the sunbed, but we were very unlucky with the weather. we arrived in the middle of September and for a whole week it was 21-22 degrees, rains, winds, unsanitary conditions outside the hotel. Famous historical places! The beaches of staraya Gagra are so polluted that it's amazing how the sea still remains clean. It's creepy to swim on the boulders in the hotel, so we just went to the neighboring beach opposite the national park, where children can safely go into the water. And the crossing of the Abkhazian border generally finished me off, they dropped me off the bus with suitcases, stood in line for 2 hours, the suitcase (large) did not climb through the turnstile, they tore off the handle. This is some kind of humiliation for tourists. In short, I waited for a vacation for a whole year, and I was very glad to return home. The beauty of the nature of Abkhazia was rated by 5.

The view is beautiful only from the rooms to the courtyard , the rooms are tired and smell damp . They don't even bring water for 20 tons per room. You still have to pay for breakfast . I'm already silent about the prices in restaurants))) But the biggest disadvantage of the hotel is the sea, the entrance to the sea. It 's terrible , huge boulders , big stones , it's impossible to swim with children . I'm sure most tourists have broken legs. Ships are sailing close, the night is standing and so on, water with an oil film. For those who are interested in a sea holiday, the hotel is not suitable . I opened the window in the evening and listened to the disgusting karaoke singing from the park at full power . We have been to Abkhazia 4 times and I can say for sure that the hotel has the worst beach and especially the entrance to it, as well as swimming in it, because boulders of huge sizes are everywhere.the hotel has sun beds in the morning))) at a piece of the place where you can enter the sea, there are a lot of people at one point , because no one wants to stay without legs at all. I definitely do not recommend it .

It is a very good hotel for Abkhazia. Clean and tidy rooms, fairly recent renovation, daily room cleaning. It has its own territory, swimming pool, restaurant, beach bar and cafe, children's rooms, football and volleyball courts. The beach is equipped with sun beds and canopies. Of the small disadvantages, the presence of large stones on the beach. It is very inconvenient to enter, especially if there are waves. And so a very good and decent hotel.

We had a rest for the New Year holidays, a wonderful hotel, cleaning and changing of towels every day, shower and soap are available, our toothbrush and toothpaste, there is still no bathrobe for the outdoor pool outside. The room is in a modern style, as well as the lobby, there is a cooler with drinking water, a balcony overlooking the sea and the pier. The price per day is 8 thousand plus+1.4 thousand for an additional place for a child, breakfast separately - the price is 500 rubles / adult, 400 rubles for a child. They also opened a spa hammam, sauna, large and small swimming pools, a relaxation room, very cool, opened in front of NG. The price for 3 hours is 1 thousand adults. But I'm really into it. There was also an area with pet rabbits, a children's corner with master classes. There is a restaurant with European cuisine on site, as well as a teahouse with local cuisine, a temple of the 6th century AD. We will be happy to come again

For the first time in Abkhazia) we thought about which hotel to take, so that there would be a pool and a private beach, we decided this one. Liked it! It is small and very cozy, in such an Italian style, stone streets, flowers hang from top to bottom on the hotel building, super) there were no problems with settling in, a fat plus right away. The standard room is modern, comfortable, with a balcony and sea view. There was cleaning every day.
The territory is well-groomed, the beach would be a little more refined, it would be super. Although the stones are huge to remove. It'll be great. I liked the view, on one side the mountains are close, on the other side the sea. Imeretinka and Krasnaya Polyana - 2 in 1😃) Everything is blooming, fragrant even in October. Bananas are growing, murshmula, kiwi, tangerines (were still green) - we were in October). Palm trees, cypresses, etc.) there is a pool bar, for a fee. Everything you need is there: wine and vodka products, a snack. There are also sun beds by the sea. Is free. Not like in Adler😅

In rainy weather, the roof leaks a little in the restaurant, we need to address this issue

This year's cuisine in the restaurant is the main disappointment ... something clearly went wrong and the owners overdid it with the "famous chefs": a complex composition and ingredients, with an application for sophistication, but then there is the average contingent, which does not like truffles for such money ... just NOT TASTY. The restaurant, where good live music plays in the evenings, now has a buffet.... "This is a fiasco, bro."
Previously, there was a sense of uniqueness and some elitism here ... now it is turning into an average Abkhazian hotel with a "so-so contingent" for a lot of money.

We had a rest for the second time, on New Year's Eve, for the first time we came for the May holidays, we really liked it then. There were not many people and the service staff coped with the five... BUT👆🏻.. on this good note, we decided to come and meet and spend the holidays for the New Year. I'll start with a good one: good territory, cleaned up, but .. That's the minus (- it is advisable not to walk on the lawns, there are traces of dogs living everywhere, only mines, no one cleaned, at least while we lived there, and this was from 31.12-05.01, everything was in place, the children had to be washed.
The room cleaning was satisfactory until 02.01 when there was a full check-in.. This is where the Abaat hotel showed that it is not ready and cannot cope with so many guests.
1)For breakfast, the queue begins at the tables, firstly, there are catastrophically not enough of them, people are standing and waiting for the previous ones to eat, it's not even 5 minutes.
2) we did not wait for the room to be cleaned that day, we went to change towels ourselves, get toilet paper, tea.(but this is not a minus for the staff, they cleaned the rooms from the very morning until late at night, this is a minus for the managers.
3) A restaurant with a natural landing is generally trash.. you can't wait for the waiter, and when the order is made, they carry it already cold, they can't cope, when it's once, it's okay, you kind of close your eyes to it, but when it happens the second and third day… this is already too much, you are being paid a full check, for your services, be kind and be responsible for your price tag!.
4) Since we didn't manage to have dinner on the third day, we went to the bar to have tea, (I want to note that there was a couple sitting in the bar and that's it. We asked for tea, the bartender poured hot water into the kettle, poured so much tea that it was difficult to call it tea, it was slop, tinted water, the kettle could not brew, I went up to the bartender and asked him to redo the tea - either pour more tea, or pour boiling water instead of hot water. But the bartender, instead of eliminating this situation, he began to ridicule this situation with other visitors who were sitting at the bar, this is the first time I have seen this. Maybe it's the way it is in this hotel, but it certainly really spoiled the impression of this hotel.
I can't recommend this hotel, for such a price tag, there must be other service. The service is not appropriate and does not contribute to a pleasant stay at this hotel.

1. Food is carried for a very long time, we were served drinks for 30 minutes, what can we say about food.
2. Before you go to the cafe, look at the prices, they are very large, one dorado costs 2900 or more, although it is disgusting.
3. They don't have much. The child wanted to eat a pork loin, but they don't have it and he had to eat one potato that costs 600 rubles, and they bring it in a small plate of five pieces.
4. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because the karaoke was not bad. And so I do not advise anyone to go to the Abaat cafe, if you check into the hotel, go to the teahouse, which is located opposite this cafe.

We had a rest from July 3 to July 13, two adults, two children, a two-room suite, a large balcony overlooking the park, mountains and the sea. Everything was wonderful! We checked in quickly, the staff is friendly. The hotel is very cozy, secluded, picturesque, located in the old part of Gagra, all the sights are within walking distance, a beautiful well-kept territory, closed from outsiders, on which there is an ancient church, a museum, a mini zoo, a Teahouse cafe, a restaurant. The kitchen is beyond praise. The pool is warm, the sea is clean, the beach is pebbly. In the evenings, silence, stars. There is also a shop on site with everything you need for the beach and a souvenir shop and original wines. We were satisfied with the rest, did not deny ourselves anything, visited the bar, spa, went on excursions. They left a painted postcard as a souvenir))) We remember with warmth and miss you!!!

We were in Abaat from July 5 to July 12, 2023. I really enjoyed the rest. Beautiful territory, nice beach, swimming pool, restaurant. I would especially like to thank the manager at the reception Alice - when booking we were given a small room for two, Alice, as compensation, arranged for us a room of a higher category so that the child could also comfortably accommodate, and the next day moved us to a room with an additional child's place. A very friendly, attentive, responsible employee! We would definitely like to come again.

Let's start with +:
1. This location is just great, old Gagra is very beautiful, people are going on an excursion here, and you will live here. Parks are within walking distance, the Joekvar gorge is five minutes away, a castle across the street, a mini market across the street, where you can also take a minibus and go in any direction.
2. This hotel area is just beautiful, fountain, sculptures, pheasants, rabbits, the whole area is well maintained, clean. The outdoor pool was always clean, but without heating, probably because it was +30 outside. In the cold season, I do not know whether it is heated or not. Sometimes people who were brought on an excursion asked to enter the hotel for at least five minutes.
3. The staff is polite, responsive, they did not refuse my request to provide bathrobes, for which I thank you very much.
Now -
1. Minus Is the sea! As a neighbor on a chaise longue said that this beach should have been called a foot killer, and it really is, there is nothing to do here without aquashouses or coral slippers, but this does not really save you, there are cobblestones with half the height of a person, and somewhere with the height of a person, to go into the sea you have to try, and when you swim, you can scratch your leg or even your ass. But there is another disadvantage, water comes here from the mountain, that is, literally 10 meters into the sea, a mountain river flows into the sea, making the sea in this area fresh water, and lowers the degree of the sea decently, for example, if you go to the nearest medical beach, there the sea is warm salty and without cobblestones.
2. The minus is the room, very small, I was in a standard room with a balcony. I had to beg for slippers and a bathrobe, fortunately they did not refuse. A view of the courtyard of the kitchen of the tea house, where they were doing loading and unloading, smelled of food from morning to evening, they were peeling vegetables in the yard, I'll say so-so kind of. Although they asked for a view of the sea or pool and higher. But we were told that you don't have a suite. So keep in mind that this is a view of the kitchen of the teahouse. There are very few hangers for things in the room, I keep all my clothes on hangers, I rarely use shelves, and there were only 4 of them. Once again, it was very close to disperse, someone had to jump on the bed to get to the toilet.
3. The minus is the SPA. the pool is written with sea water, But in fact it turned out to be fresh. I had enough grief in half for 2 hours, and paid for 3 hours. The Finnish sauna is cold, the hammam is too hot, and I couldn't sit there for five minutes, the humid air burned my lungs. But there is one trick imitation of the current, if you have never tried to swim against the current, you can try it here, I liked this imitation, now I know how difficult it is.
4. The minus is the restaurant! That is, the breakfast buffet, the food was always cold, there was no variety, broken plates often came across, and eating with broken dishes is a bad omen! Baking is simply terrible, it is not possible - it is dry. The coffee is delicious but cold.
Since there are only 3 more cons. Although, as my husband says, "we have nothing to compare with," he means that we have not been to other hotels in Abkhazia, and what if it is even worse there😉

Upon arrival at the hotel, the receptionist, Lana give her health, entered our situation. She supported us and gave us a phone charger, which turned out to be in the lost luggage. The room was checked in immediately without any traffic jams.
1 About the room.
The room is clean and spacious enough. But I had a feeling that I was living in a room not with my wife, but with a cleaner, because after breakfast the room was cleaned and the bed linen was changed. There was a kettle in the room, even tea with sugar was put in.
2Pro the territory.
In the morning, when I got up and went out into the territory, I began to cry seeing this beauty. I immediately remembered a line from the song "Mountains on the left and the sea on the right. On site, you can get lost in palm trees, cypresses and alianders. There is also a heated swimming pool and many other entertainment options.
3Pro nutrition.
We had Breakfast and Dinner included, but I want to say the owner is stingy. Of the fruits, there were only watermelon, plum persimmon, even money was squeezed for an elementary mango"But the menu was changed every day. I can feel it coming, plus ten kg. Yes, there is not only a restaurant nearby where they feed from the hotel, but also a Tea house where friendly waiters and delicious food.
That's the air pumped up. After my chemical city, this fresh sea and mountain air makes you breathe deeply. Once again, at the expense of the receptionist, the girls solve the issue at once. By the way, if someone loves animals, then he will not lose either. There are rabbits, pheasants and cute kitties. (this is not for hunters). In short, if you want to relax with your soul and in a quiet environment, I recommend the Abaat hotel in staraya Gagra to everyone.

Excellent territory (the biggest plus of this hotel).! Clean, lots of vegetation. The restaurant and teahouse food is good! There are little things, bad mattresses on the beds, poor ventilation in the bathroom, we decided to close our eyes to all this and enjoyed our stay! The manual is good, I think they will read and take note! We will come again if possible!

The hotel exceeded expectations.
Stunning well-maintained green area, heated swimming pool, the sea is two steps away (but the beach is quite rocky).
The owner of the hotel is a great fellow for being able to integrate modern style into the spirit of antiquity (some buildings of 1903-1905). Everything is so harmonious, comfortable and inviting that I didn't want to leave.
On site you can play table tennis, work out in the gym or even watch the cougars. There is a laundry service (for only 200 rubles). You can have breakfast in the Teahouse or the Abaat restaurant, the breakfast menu is the same, but the restaurant was tasteless, and the Teahouse, on the contrary, pleased (not only the breakfasts are very tasty).
It is very clean both on site and in the rooms (cleaning every day).
The most excellent service. Special thanks to the girls at the reception. Their attitude towards the guests set the tone for everything :)

A gorgeous place, the hotel is clean, the views from the hotel are fire, the restaurant is delicious, the monastery is right on site, children's rooms..for younger and older age groups ..the pool is both outside and inside!!!!

A great place to relax. The rooms are clean and spacious. The area is simply amazing. One wish in the SPA complex is to reduce the temperature in the pool, otherwise you get the feeling that you are being boiled!😁
