I had to spend the night in Gagra for one night. This hotel was recommended by a friend as a good budget option for sleeping. And yes, it's perfect for my purpose.
+ the freshest comfortable bed, clean soft towels
+ there was always hot water, all plumbing is in good order
+ stable Internet

We returned from Abkhazia 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the A-More Novaya Gagra Hotel. The hotel is relatively new, with a small, neat courtyard, a dining room in the courtyard, a grocery store across the street.
Well, about everything in order:
Location: the beach is a 7-minute leisurely walk away, at the same distance there are cafes, shops, a Ferris wheel, a water park, an embankment. The market is a 15-minute walk away.
The hotel staff is very helpful and attentive.
Room: Very ascetic. We stayed in room number 2 on the ground floor. We stopped by at 10 pm, so in the morning the view from the window was a surprise – a blind fence! And there is also a nearby hotel right next to it, with sewer and water pipes sticking out of the walls. Sunlight does not enter the room, there is no ventilation in the room and bathroom, as a result – constantly wet floor in the toilet and wet things in the closet. Even the things that we never wore, we brought home wet. The room has an open wardrobe, 2 beds, air conditioning, 2 chairs, a plate and 2 mugs, a clothes dryer, a tiny TV, a refrigerator. There is no kettle and no hair dryer. An iron and a cooler are in the hallway, and you can ask the administrator for a hair dryer. Linen and towels are clean, changed on request, no questions asked.
In the bathroom: soap dispenser, toilet paper, brush. There is no freshener or shower gel.
The Wi-Fi in the room is very weak. To download something, we went outside.
In general, for a small price, normal conditions. The main thing is clean linen and hot water, without interruptions.
Canteen: a dining room with homemade food in the courtyard of the hotel. The choice of dishes is good, the prices are reasonable, payment is by transfer or cash. We mostly ate there.
For a budget holiday, the hotel is not bad, but I would not recommend the first floor because of the constant dampness.

Good afternoon. We just returned from vacation yesterday. The impressions are only positive. The location of the hotel is wonderful, the sea is 5 minutes, a decent beach with umbrellas and sun beds. The hotel itself matches the description and reviews on the website. If there were any issues, they were resolved with friendly and attentive attitude on the part of the head of Beslan and the staff. Special thanks to the maid (unfortunately she did not ask for the name), who responded to all our wishes (hair dryer, change the pillow, give an additional blanket, etc.)
And, of course, I would like to thank the canteen staff separately. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Salads are cut, omelets are fried online))). The wine and chacha are excellent. And of course the boats. Be sure to try it))).
In general, the main thing is not the place, but the people and the attitude of these people towards you.

Good afternoon.I had a rest in June 2024 .The room was on the ground floor.This is a huge disadvantage, the room is always dark, there was no sun at all because the window overlooked the neighboring hotel and the high fence.It was very cold at night, I slept all 9 nights with air conditioning and under a blanket. If you choose this hotel, just don't take the ground floor.There is a dining room on site.Always delicious and varied food.I took a trip with 3 meals a day .Thanks to Nina and Boris for the delicious food.

We rested at this hotel from 06/22/2016, we were just delighted! Both from the hotel and from the staff! The hotel is cozy, small, our room was comfortably with an awesome view of the mountains, the room is spacious enough, fresh, clean, the beds and towels are snow-white, the room has a refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, its own bathroom, dryer and locker with chairs, everything is available for a comfortable stay, the hotel has its own cafe where it is delicious and you can eat at home!

Rest in general, everything is fine, the main thing is not to swallow seawater, and drink purchased drinking water, not raw local. All our neighbors on the floor suffered from rotavirus, but we did not. But about the hotel, 2 points out of 5. There is no hair dryer, no full-length mirror either. The lights were turned off three times a day, and at that moment there was no water either, of course it was strange, probably electric pumps for water, but there was no generator. We did not wait for a change of bed linen and towels, they said that they did not have time to wash, it was a shame, of course, but we had our own with us.
The floor was washed twice before and after us. In general, the service is poor.

We had a rest from June 12th to 19th. A wonderful small and cozy hotel for a family holiday, comfortable rooms and other amenities.
Clean rooms and well-kept grounds, it is very pleasant to live there.
The sea is 5 minutes from the hotel, clean coast.
The hotel is located in the city center, there is a grocery store nearby.
There is a dining room on site, where they cook very tasty and satisfying meals.
All the staff is polite and helpful, we express our great gratitude for the hospitality.

We live in a quiet, cozy, lovely hotel "A-Sea", with snow-white crisp sheets, a comfortable bed and pillows, with snow-white towels! The room has a refrigerator, a table, chairs, a wardrobe, a TV, a separate bathroom equipped with a toilet, sink and shower. Everything is very convenient! There is a dryer on the balcony where you can hang things, very convenient!
It is very wonderful and convenient that the A-Sea Hotel has its own cafe with a wonderful and affordable Menu. It is worth noting the important fact that the food is all fresh and delicious! We had a rest from August 7 to August 14, 2024. Of course, the room is not designed for a family of 4 people: the children were given an additional one. places (cots where it is impossible to sleep with terrible bed linen in sharushki). During the week of staying in our room, no cleaning was done once! A huge number of mosquitoes. The bathroom is damp. There is a dining room on the territory of the hotel, but for me the food is not edible, the children refused to eat there at all, because it is tasteless. There is no private beach, respectively, sun beds, umbrellas are paid on the shared beach. In the room: wardrobe, table, 2 chairs (for 4 people), refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, clothes dryer, no dishes, not even a glass for water. Among the advantages: magnificent nature, mountain views from the window, proximity to the sea (the sea is warm and clean, dolphins swam several times), entertainment and infrastructure (shops, market, water park, cafes, restaurants, Ferris wheel, promenade). I will definitely not return to this hotel anymore!

We were looking for a clean new hotel and we found it, we took a comfort room with a balcony, everything is modern, clean, cleaning every day, there were no mosquitoes, the view of the mountains is beautiful, the furniture is minimal, but no more is needed, the generator is a big plus, there were no interruptions with water and light, 7 minutes to the sea. The territory is just to sit on a bench and smoke, the rest is parking and a dining room, which is convenient. There is a locker room and a shower nearby on the beach.Nearby there is a transport stop in any direction and a supermarket (5 minutes). In 10 minutes there is a wonderful modern medical center where you can do various wellness treatments (hydrogen sulfide baths, mud applications, underwater shower massage, and so on) 15 minutes to the market. Among the disadvantages is the third place in the room-the armchair is not very comfortable, but the double bed is excellent, clean, comfortable.It's not very convenient to cross the road when leaving the hotel, but that's nonsense. Yes, there were unfinished buildings nearby, but there was no construction, it didn't bother at all.

We had a rest with children in this hotel from 05/28/2023 to 06/03/12. Very hospitable host. The room is cozy. There is a TV, refrigerator, all necessary furniture, air conditioning. We stayed at this hotel in September 2023. After reading the reviews, we decided to stay at this hotel. I'll start with the dining room. The food there is monotonous and expensive. The portions are very small. We ate there for 2 days and found a wonderful place near us (kebab house) the price and variety of the menu were very pleased. The rooms were cleaned very rarely, the bed linen was not changed in all 10 days not once. The towels were changed only once and then they asked for it themselves. They also asked for toilet paper. I read reviews and one woman wrote about clean velvet bedding.....but when we stopped by, we were probably less lucky, they were not washed, the stains remained on them, which is very unpleasant. There is no sound insulation in the rooms completely. You can hear everything they say and how they go to the toilet. There are wasps sitting on the food in the dining room and they are not particularly chased. The hotel itself is located 7 minutes walk from the sea. The ratio of price and quality....the price is very exaggerated for this hotel. If you take a room with a mountain view, then there is a railway under your balcony, be prepared for the constant noise of trains, and there are many of them during the day. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom. The conclusion is whether we will come back to this hotel or recommend it to friends, definitely NOT. The rest is certainly not spoiled, but unpleasant impressions remain. And wifi works very badly, you can even say it doesn't work.

Do not compare with Turkey! Abkhazia is good in its own way!
We stayed at the hotel from July 6th to 12th. Good location. The sea is 5 minutes away, the market is 7-10 minutes away, the shopping center is 5 minutes across the railway too. It is better to relax here, the closer to the sea, because there is music playing until nightfall. You can book an excursion at the hotel, cheaper than with a tour operator. The owner of Beslan is a world man (polite, kind, cheerful!), he will always tell you where to go and what to see! The hotel staff is kind and helpful! The room has air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, good bathroom! There is a dining room on site, the food is delicious!
Room cleaning on request. There is always a guard on the territory, his name is Sultan, also kind, responsive and sociable!
I recommend the hotel to everyone who wants to feel the Abkhazian hospitality!

A very nice guest house! Clean rooms for 2-4 people. Each room has air conditioning. In the lobby there is a washing machine (washing 100 rubles), an ironing board with an iron for free. The rooms are cleaned every day.
There is a cafe on site. It works from 8 to 20 o'clock. They cook very tasty. We usually had breakfast there in the morning. The owner of the hotel, Beslan, is very welcoming. He often stays late at the hotel, solves all issues quickly. It takes 7-9 minutes to walk to the sea at a slow pace. The market is 15 minutes away. I highly recommend the guest house.

We booked through Booking, worried about prepayment, but in the end everything went great!

I would like to say a big thank you for the time spent at the hotel. Comfortable accommodation is very important in your vacation. We stayed at this hotel from July 18-26.The owner of the hotel and all the staff are very friendly and helpful people. The hotel is clean and has everything you need. Even a washing machine, if someone needs it, please. 5 minutes from the sea, a lot of cafes, near the market. You can easily call a taxi, wherever you want you will be taken, the prices are reasonable. There is a dining room on site, the food is delicious. We did not regret choosing this hotel. I recommend.

This hotel and the staff ruined our last days of rest. To begin with, we have a request: to find a nice fresh room with modern furniture for 2 days. We went to this hotel, found out that there is a free room for two days, took a phone number and wrote off on WhatsApp. These are the photos they sent us. We were satisfied. The furniture looks new. The bathroom is normal. (I am attaching the correspondence). We arrive, a man meets the receptionist, we pay for the room, we go into room 22 and immediately we are greeted by a terrible smell of dampness. The room is completely different from what it was in the photos! AND THIS IS A DECEPTION! We are shocked. We sat and went to find out why the number was not the one that was sent. They let us talk on the phone with the woman with whom we corresponded, asked about the number. They said it was busy. The male receptionist claimed THAT IT WAS THE SAME THING. THE NUMBER IS EXACTLY the SAME as it was sent. Well ok.
We came back to the room. The window is open. We thought that now everything would wear off. It took about an hour and a half- 2 hours. We went to ask why the room stinks so much. The male receptionist came and said that nothing stinks 😃 everything is fine in the room, nothing leaks anywhere and it is not damp. And he already started being rude: "what do you suggest I do?", we asked him in return what he could do. He said it was nothing. 😃😃 Customer service at the level of 👍 well done guys! As a result, they told us to return the money to us. They returned it without further ado. We do not recommend it! R.S. It was sickening to sleep with such a smell. The smell has not worn off in a day.

I do not recommend checking into this hotel to people who expect to see the Notel Hilton (5 stars) and suffer from hypertrophied self-esteem (which does not fit into a single city). For the rest of the adequate majority, on the contrary, I strongly recommend it! Preferably not for a couple of days, but at least for 10 days to see at least something besides the sea (and there is something to see).
I liked it in "A-More". In everyday terms, everything is very decent and convenient, the dining room is on site. There is a private parking. The location of the hotel is also good, including because if it is cloudy in Gagra, there is an opportunity to jump into a minibus or taxi.... In 22 minutes you will be in Pitsunda with its relict pine forest, where, due to the microclimate, there are more sunny days, and because of the hydrography, the sea is the cleanest on the coast of Abkhazia. There is also a recommendation for a comfortable sleep - do not forget to grab some "fumigators" from mosquitoes (nature is nature). And also use only bottled water and try not to let seawater get into your mouth (I have no recommendations for alcohol treatment - everyone is a "sommelier" to himself).
I especially recommend not to be shy and communicate as much as possible with the staff of the hotel and the dining room located nearby. I assure you! You will learn a lot of interesting things and be surprised by the friendly attitude.
The owner of the hotel is Beslan, a wonderful man, a good conversationalist, with an incorrigible sense of humor, wise with experience and very responsible. If a problematic issue arises, it will be resolved instantly (with the exception of instant portal movement home and achieving world peace at the "snap of your fingers").
The director of the dining room is Uncle Borya, who looks sullen and strict (that's right. Feeding people is a responsible thing!). But still, in conversation, he is a sincere and sympathetic person, with a lively mind and a sense of humor. I would describe him as a "young man" of retirement age.
The hotel maid is Maya. A real "Maya Bee".
Beslan, Uncle Borya, Maya, Nurik, Sultan, the girls from the dining room - I hug you all with gratitude! Thank you for the warm welcome.

We had a rest from June 23 to June 30, 2022 at the hotel. Firstly, everything is very clean and cozy, there is everything you need (air conditioning, refrigerator and hot water). If you need to get out of turn, then they do not refuse. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The director of the hotel himself is not a bad person, but when in the evening (before 23 o'clock) we met with the neighbors in the hotel and talked on the street near the hotel, he began to shout at us from the window that we were shouting and the rest of the neighbors were complaining about us! But who else, everyone was with us! It was unpleasant. As it is, everything is fine. There is a dining room near the hotel, and very friendly staff works there! You can make a payment in cash or by transfer! There is also a construction site near the hotel, so it is useless to take rooms with a balcony.

Hello! I would like to leave a review about this "hotel", I lived in it from 06/28/12 to 07/04/12. The owner is an outspoken BOOR, he can't talk, only shouts and says in plain text you are nobody here, I am the owner here, it is written on all sites that parking is free for residents, but he wanted to rip off money. At first glance, the hotel is clean, but there are problems with sewerage, the stench from the bathroom is unbearable, the view from the window is of a nearby private house two meters from the window, on the other hand there are not two construction sites. I would not recommend staying in this DUMP!!!

If you take economy rooms, be ready for sleepless nights! The bed is always wet, the tiles in the rooms are always wet! Mosquitoes will attack you at night.
