The monument symbolizes the power over the people. An open soul in the chest part allows the authorities to substitute and impose values on the people, circumcised legs, this restriction of freedom and movement around the world, circumcised hands, this restriction in the availability of information, history, knowledge, the absence of a head, this is the absence of their thoughts and the lack of expression of their opinions, and the gentleman sitting on top symbolizes power, which easily manages and "sits on the neck of the people" comfortably ensuring their lives. This is purely my personal opinion, as I understood the creator of this sculpture.
The monument to Franz Kafka is located in the Josefov quarter of Prague, not far from the Spanish Synagogue.
The nearly four-meter-high bronze sculpture depicts Franz Kafka sitting on the shoulders of an empty suit.
There are many versions about the meaning of this monument, one of them refers to Kafka's story "Description of a struggle."
Definitely worth seeing, as the composition is included in the list of the 10 most unusual sculptures in the world!
In principle, in short, we can say this: what a writer was, such a monument turned out to be. For there is no other way to convey all the emptiness and uncertainty.
