Mother of God, how can you feed people like that in such a beautiful city?
We found a restaurant based on recommendations and photos. It feels like there are under 300 seats in it, it is very popular.
We looked at the menu in advance and chose what we would like to try.
The result is not even disappointment, but indignation.
Snacks from the chef. The first position of the menu. A meager plate of unimpressive foods. Yes, in lemon leaves, but the taste does not cause any delight. Obviously not interesting for 14 euros. The photo shows how sad it looks. But the taste is the same.
Kaneloni with meat is good against the background of everything else. Yes, it's a little too little sauce, but on the whole it's quite enough. It would be strange to cook pasta badly.
Shrimps and grilled octopus are fresh, quite good, but bland and slightly bitter (well, grilled, there's nothing you can do about it).
Tiramisu. National dessert. Shock. Not even mascarpone with savoyardi. Just dry rolls with thick cream. It was terrible.
The lemon dessert was just like a tribute to Sorrento (it's all with lemons). Well, tastier, but for a C grade.
The service is strange. They asked about the wine, recorded it, then recorded the order, forgot about the wine.
They forgot about the grill, they brought it later.
The plates are just like from the dining room. Of all the dishes, only one is somehow prettily served.
The tablecloths don't look fresh at all.
It feels like a well-promoted dining room.
At the same time, it is impossible to eat less than 30 euros at their place. We didn't try, although this meal was definitely not worth it.
