The area is beautiful, an ancient complex.
You can visit the lavra and the church in the rock. The rest of the complex is inaccessible, border guards with machine guns are standing, they can also tell you where else you can climb, and where you can not. There are pointers, but there are not very many of them. You can't climb Udabno Monastery in the rain, there is a steep path, only clay. It is better to go through Sagareggio, there is asphalt everywhere, the road is good. It's pretty off-road through Rustavi, again, it's definitely not worth climbing in the rain on an unprepared car. There is a small parking lot on the territory, a toilet of 0.5 lari, in the church shop there is water of 1 lari for half a liter. There are no products, count on it (the nearest store is probably in Udabno)
