If we want to have a delicious meal at the hospitable hosts and take more with us, we have been going to Pitsunda for many years, to the family cafe to Radha.
Delicious, friendly. We can talk. And always with some kind of gifts to our big table: either unique Abkhazian pickles made by the hostess herself, or her amazing feijoa compote. And we always buy homemade chacha, honey, adjika, and fresh khachapuri with us for ourselves and for gifts.
National music in the evening.
And if you need advice, we ask her to make coffee and watch the cup. This is a separate art.
A wonderful guest house! Friendly hosts who have become more than friends in a few years! Because of the complex language, at first it seemed that everyone was swearing all the time, but no, this is the Abkhazian language)
The rooms are clean, there is a bathroom and air conditioning in each room. New summer kitchen, barbecue area, everything is free to use without problems. There is a cafe at the guest house, where not only guests, but also locals eat. Fresh food for the kitchen is purchased daily, the quality is amazing! European, Caucasian and Abkhazian traditional cuisine. There is also a lavash on the territory, which is in great demand. The owner bakes fresh pita bread in a tandoor every morning for the cafe and for sale. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea slowly. There is everything you need within walking distance: a market, a beer bar, a fish shop, wholesalers of chemicals and alcohol, a supermarket, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. We eat only in this cafe and you can drink tap water, there have never been any problems. We plan to continue to relax with these wonderful people🕊
We stayed in this guest house in September 2022, because we didn't have to choose much, because everything is occupied, and the cost of rooms is much higher than here. The rooms themselves are quite tolerable, well, it is not particularly accepted to stutter about the service in Abkhazia, even with price tags above the global ones, so we did not expect cleaning in the room, we did not need it; but the attitude of the hosts was not very pleasant. Firstly, I initially asked if it would be possible to use the barbecue and kitchen. But in fact, the owners were not happy with the use of a barbecue (coal, ignition is always their own), and in the end the owner even showed that it was not a good thing and they had to eat in the dining room and did not give a skewer, in general it was extremely unpleasant for such an attitude towards the guests. And in general, the attitude was as if we lived there for free and as if hinted that we were staying. Especially when it was necessary to extend the lease for only a day, but according to the reaction of the hostess, it was as if they asked to live for a month for free. On the last day, I also came under the distribution of the hostess, just waking up: for the mess in the kitchen, which was left before me. Like, what kind of garbage, why don't they take out the trash and generally forbid using the kitchen. And guests should also instruct new guests about cleaning.
We rented a car, the owner was also not happy that the car spent one night in the yard. The local canteen didn't come to us either. Something like that.
At the rate of 60p /dollar, the cost of renting housing in Abkhazia is simply inadequate, especially with regard to service. Next year, if the exchange rate does not go above 100, we will probably consider the European direction.
