The Moscow metro is truly a marvel to behold. We couldn't understand the machines however, and so a very kind and glamorous lady who worked there took us in hand and taught us how to buy tickets with cash [old notes only]. It's more than public transport, it's an institution and experience of how to run a world class metro system.

Beautiful and sophisticated place beside the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, we stopped for tea here but the menu looked great. We love how the Russians produce healthy and richly flavoured tea. So reviving on a hot day with lots of walking. Exceptional service, very nice place.

Everytime we come to Moscow we find this chain, it's one of our favourites! It's got it all. This branch is great, we came twice and loved the setting, the friendly welcome, the homemade wine, kvass, non-filtered beer, and dishes and dishes of great Soviet classics. A real holiday feeling place of happiness. Thanks!

Like many people we were walking through VKND to the Botanics and spotted this place by chance. Wow! it's like going to a dacha far from the city. The food is great bordering the sublime. Classic Russian dishes but each with a theme tied to nature, history and well being. Really felt elevated and restored after a simple meal of soup and dessert and reviving tea. Truly wonderful place and of course exquisite service. Our main waiter Juan really explained all the dishes making it more than just a meal. We'll remember this place and make sure to come back when in Moscow.

Sure it's a canteen but considering it's inside GUM it's great value and we really enjoyed the soups, salad and khinkali. Friendly staff, we enjoyed it before a long walk along the Moscow river. Appreciated the toilet token too!

A must see when visiting the beautiful city of Volgograd, this museum as well as being informative is so beautiful inside it's a monument to the sacrifice here all in itself. We spent 2 hours but you could easily spend more time, the audio guide is a must. I knew a little about the battle and heroism of Stalingrad but this museum really helped cement some of that knowledge. The panorama painting where the model runs into the artistic masterpiece is very moving, it's suspended in time where events at different periods of the battle converge. Will never forget it.

As well as being a lovely city to holiday in, see the historical sights and remember their sacrifice, Volgograd has an exceptional restaurant and bar scene and this place was a real highlight of our trip. Our guides brought us here for a farewell dinner and it's fantastic. Great Russian cuisine, Russian champagne, exquisite service. Made for a memorable evening on our last day in this charming city.

Our local tour guide told us to pop in here as we said we love Russian craft beer. They even have beers from near my hometown in Scotland but of course for us the Russian beers are the best. Serves great food, super friendly team, great service and happy ambience all right in the centre of this lovely welcoming city. Loved it.

We love the Russian interpretation of a British pub. Great beer and service and cool decoration without the slumminess of the original British version. We tried Wise Queen; the Russian craft beers really are just the best after a long day of sightseeing.

We found this place many years ago whilst visiting the New Art Gallery upstairs. So when back in the city we popped in. The gallery alas was closed but Ketch Up was open! Great place with very friendly service. Loved the food and especially loved the Russian beer. Really glad we made another visit.
