Expensive tickets, we went in the evening, we were not warned that it was about to close, and they drove us to the exit. Come at least two hours before closing time, otherwise you won't have a good look
The place is unusual. But according to the points:
1. The queue. In general, it was worth thinking about this place already. Long queue = a lot of people. But we are optimists) and in vain.
2. The crowd. You go down the stairs and get into a dense stream of people. Which carries you all over the mesh bridge along the cistern. To catch a place for a photo is a separate quest. We were able to. But with difficulty.
3. The price. 1200 rubles per person. A child of 8 years old is also a person. And also 1200. Well, it's all right, of course. The tank of Theodosius is even more expensive. But you have to understand that this is a 15-minute walk across the bridge. We had 3,600 for the family. My toad is indignant.
4. I can't attribute this to a minus. Rather a given. The air is very humid. Everything is fine, but then going outside, you catch an unforgettable cheerfulness😄
Otherwise, everything is as in other reviews. And the atmosphere. And statues.

It's beautiful and interesting. But 900 lire per person is too much. Almost the same thing can be seen next to the mosque
We are very pleased with the visit to the Basilica cistern. It feels like I went down into an underground palace with antique columns. The backlight adds mystery.
It's interesting, BUT: there is always a queue at the entrance, though it goes fast (50 meters in 20 minutes). Ticket - 450 liras (beginning of October 2023, due to inflation, the price is constantly rising, ~ $ 17). It's very hot and humid inside, you come out wet through. And there are a lot of people, walking in a crowd like during rush hour in the Moscow metro. An ambiguous experience.

To feel the atmosphere of this unique structure, it is better to come to the very beginning and walk calmly without elbowing and take good photos
It's a cool place. Columns of ancient temples from all over the area were dragged into the reservoir. Where the heads of the gorgon medusa stick out. Good acoustics. Antiquity from all the cracks. High humidity. Good illumination.
A very interesting and majestic place, like an underground city. It reminded me a bit of the footage from Harry Potter with the Basilisk. Historical columns are propped up with metal beams so as not to collapse. Some have an engraved drawing on them. Two Gorgon Medusa Heads

A very atmospheric place that is mesmerizing at first glance. Interesting installations, the play of light and incredible architecture will definitely not leave anyone indifferent. And fans of the Da Vinci Code trilogy will not be even more impressed, because this is where the action of the novel Inferno takes place.
The queues are always long on the street, but they move fast enough, the ticket is 300 lira.
Despite the fact that the room is in the basement, it is not cold at all downstairs. Although there are a lot of people, but the territory is large and convenient to move around.
One of the few objects that has sunk into the soul.
I recommend it )
We visited a year ago, we really liked it, we brought the children. Unfortunately, many installations were removed, and the lighting, which created a special mood, was also turned off. Large-scale, dark and empty. For 600 lire for admission, it's generally a shame.
An amazing place. After the restoration, it became magical with the new lighting. The shadows on the wall and the reflection in the water create an endless space
The price for visiting this ancient sewer ..., sorry, reservoir on the date of 13.10.2023 is 650 lira, i.e. 2350 rubles. Inside there is a large hall with columns, under the metal floor there is dirty water 30 centimeters deep, at the bottom of this ancient structure there are uncomplicated sculptures of modern art. Who likes such eclecticism - you can stand in line for an hour. Then go around the whole stuffy subway for 10 minutes, there's nothing to do here any longer.
I have been to Istanbul many times, but this is my first time here. I was very impressed with this place. Beautiful lighting, Cool old stuff, albeit a small queue.
It is impossible to spend a lot of money just for the entrance, the atmosphere is zero, it was possible to make a cool museum, as a result, they simply turned on the acid LED backlight and put a slippery grate under their feet.
It is a very interesting place, it is worth visiting to touch the history. Of course, you have to stand in the sun, but what's inside is worth it, it's a pity that excursions in Russian are not provided.
An incredible place!!! A must-visit! The queue is moving fast! Even with a large number of people around, it seems that you are alone. A mysterious and powerful place!
Very atmospheric! Beautiful and mysterious! The queue is moving fast!

An impressive structure, a very cool place, but like all the sights in Istanbul, it is very expensive. You should definitely go once, but go early, in the morning, the queues are huge 😱
The exit from the Basilica is marked on the Yandex map. It is a one-story, unsightly pavilion with a tiled roof. And the entrance ticket offices are located in the adjacent gray building on the side of the tram line. There's also a tape fence. In February 2023, the ticket cost 350 lire. So take a tourist card for 700 liras for 5 museums.
And about the Basilica. We read various materials on the Internet, and we got a little more savvy... so there is a saving on the guide. Went... looked... They admired both ancient Greek columns and modern installations. I didn't want to go at first... I assumed that there would be a type of Ruskeala Park in Karelia and I did not want a repeat. But... I went and... really didn't regret it. It's a pity for the money... expensive at first glance, but everything is equipped very well. Words cannot convey the impression... it is necessary to see and... so plan a visit. I will add a photo from myself... Suddenly, a masterpiece turned out... I threw my ruble there as a keepsake! The photo is green. If you find my ruble, take it safely! 1st photo output. 2nd photo entry.
Oh my God, what should I write? An unreal place. They pulled me out by the ears. A huge queue in the heat, but for 400 lire. They will take you down the red corridor without waiting in line and you will be thrown back several centuries. It's amazing. You can do it without a guide, everything is described there, but in English, I read everything to my husband and son. Very informative. Sooo beautiful. Is it really just for water?.
The place is beautiful for photos. We were with a guide, who quickly told us everything that is written in Wikipedia, but we passed in a group without a queue in time, booked at a booking.
I don't advise it, it's a pity for money, it's dark inside and you can't see anything, although there are only interesting columns there. I don't recommend it. Nothing is signed inside, all information brochures are at the exit
It's just an amazing place. It is necessary to include it in your route without fail. Check out the history in advance if you go on your own and be prepared for a long queue during the season. But, by the way, the queue is quite fleeting.
It's beautiful, especially with a deep history. I put 3 points for the fact that everywhere on the Internet they wrote the price of 180 lire for an adult and 20 lire for a child, but in fact they paid 350 lire for each, and it does not matter whether an adult or a child.
An interesting place, worth a visit!
The price is definitely not 190 liras anymore, as it was 6 days ago... and 300 lire at once. Now in Istanbul, prices have almost doubled at all attractions....
Here you can comfortably walk in a cool, fresh place... there are various lighting, photo installations, beautiful...
Stunningly beautiful, come to the opening: it's not hot, the queue goes fast and there will be fewer people inside, you can take great photos without a crowd
