A very large, shady park (which is especially important in the summer heat), many activities (attractions, playgrounds) for children, a beautiful lake with a fountain where you can ride a catamaran (2000t refundable deposit for compliance with safety regulations, it is forbidden to take off vests, change places and swim close to the fountain). Delicious cafes all over the park, if you are tired of walking, there is a place to relax. There is a dinopark on the territory (an expensive entrance ticket and a not very interesting exhibit for children who are seriously interested in dinosaurs).

Gorky Park is a great place for walking and relaxing! 🌿 Very well maintained territory, clean paths, lots of greenery and flowers. There are quiet corners for relaxing walks, as well as activity areas: scooter and bicycle rentals, playgrounds, and sports areas. In summer, it is especially pleasant to sit by the fountain or on a bench in the shade of trees. The prices in the cafes inside the park are slightly above average, but the food selection is good. The only thing is that it can be crowded on weekends, so it's better to come in the morning or on weekdays. Overall, it is one of the best places in the city where you can go with friends, family or just go for a walk alone.

A great place for walking with family and meeting friends. Very large, well-maintained territory. Lots of greenery, flowers, benches. There are many activity areas, various attractions, boats/catamarans, and there are often performances on stage. There are many cafes/restaurants and food trucks. There are secluded streets where you can take a quiet walk or relax on a bench in silence. There's a very cool big zoo across the street. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the opposite side of the entrance. As a tourist, I recommend visiting this place at least once.

Gorky Park in Almaty is one of the most popular and oldest places for walking, recreation and entertainment in the city. It's just a beautiful park! A great place to go for a weekend walk with the whole family. There are attractions, a Ferris wheel, stalls with food and drinks, and catamarans on the pond. A wonderful place for walking with children and for dating. I highly recommend walking to the top of the pond — from there you can enjoy a stunning view of the mountains in Almaty!

I really liked the recreation park! The spacious territory, cleanliness and well-groomed are pleasing from the very first minutes. Lots of greenery, neat paths, manicured lawns and beautiful flower beds — it is clear that the park is really being watched. The atmosphere is calm, cozy, pleasant to walk and relax with the whole family. A separate plus is the variety of recreation areas. There are playgrounds with modern and safe attractions, sports fields, benches in the shade, places for picnics. There are wide paths for walking, where it is convenient to ride a bike, roller skates or just walk. I really liked that the territory is clean: bins are everywhere, garbage is nowhere to be seen. In the evening, beautiful lighting turns on, making the park look even more cozy and romantic. Everyone will find something to do here — you can actively spend time or just relax in the silence of nature. It's a great place to come back to again and again. Thank you for such beauty and caring for the visitors!

The Central Park of Almaty is a green oasis in the center of a bustling city. A great place for walking, relaxing with family or meeting friends. My favorite park since childhood. I have already visited many parks in other countries, some much better, some worse, but this one occupies a special place. A huge green area, well maintained. I like that there is zoning - separate quiet paths for leisurely walks, separate attractions for the youngest, separate for the older ones. There is a large pond where you can swim on catamarans. You can also go through and get to the zoo. I think this is a plus for those who travel to the city with children on purpose. One of the disadvantages (but this is typical of many such places) is the chaotic trade along the lanes. When you walk with the kids, it's infuriating.

I really love Gorky Park, the atmosphere is great, for walking and jogging it's the best! Lots of fountains, attractions and many other entertainment options at a bargain price. The park is really very large in area, the children's area is not small either, there are a lot of attractions, a rope park, but adults will just have to enjoy a walk along the paths among the plantings. It is a pity that the dolphinarium was closed, and the water park was not working at the time of my stay either. Cool park. One of my favorite places in Almaty. You can just take a walk or have a picnic. There are also various attractions, a zoo, a Ferris wheel and river walks along the canal.
