A great place in old Tbilisi. A very unusual building with a clock on the tower, which strikes every hour with the release of dolls. The street nearby, unlike the whole old town, is very well maintained, it is one of the best tourist destinations. Nearby cafes, art salons, the residence of the Patriarch.
The hall in the theater is small and cozy. The performance is in Georgian, there is simultaneous accompaniment in headphones in Russian with the sweetest Georgian accent (it looks like Rezo Gabriadze himself read it). The play about the legacy of the French marshal is a direct continuation of the famous story about the matchmaker Khanuma - it's a firework of humor!
This is a must-visit place!
A visit to the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater left a pleasant impression. I liked the atmosphere in the theater and the plot of the play. The theater is a cozy and soulful place, and the lobby creates a special atmosphere with the opening day of the works. The presence of a line in English and headphones with a Russian translation makes the visit accessible to everyone.
A visit to the theater is worthy of a description for an entire book. A small cozy room. There are individual translators. The puppets are amazing. The actors who control the dolls are masters of their craft. At some point, you begin to perceive the puppets as real actors (although they are not real)
A place to visit if you want to get into the spirit of Tbilisi. Rezo Gabriadze's performances are imbued with kindness, naive trust and benevolence inherent in the Georgian people. The genre of the puppet theater continues a number of visual images created by the artists Pirosmani and Gudiashvili. It should be borne in mind that the hall is a chamber and tickets must be purchased in advance.
An extraordinary theater, as well as the creator of the theater. Required to visit.
I watched the play Alfred and Violetta. Touching, gentle, philosophical, sad and very Georgian. Madlobo, master and students!❤
If you haven't been to this theater, you lose a lot! The wonderful atmosphere will amaze both adults and children. We laughed with pleasure, were sad and surprised at the performance of Ramon. I didn't want to leave! A kaleidoscope of emotions! Tickets were bought on chairs in the first row in the corner for 160 GEL. But we didn't mind overpaying, given that all the seats were sold out. I managed to see the director of the theater out of the corner of my eye - Leo Gabriadze (dada! He was playing Kin dza dza)It's a pity that the restaurant at the theater with an unimaginable man-made interior was closed.
A wonderful little fairy-tale theater. A very witty translation of the play into Russian! I recommend that you definitely visit. We were sitting on side chairs, but we didn't regret at all that we bought tickets. It's a pity that we didn't get to the cafe at the theater
Everything in and around the theater admires the talent of the Master. From the stunning performance to the tiles and the tower. This is an amazing place. It is necessary to come here so that the soul can enjoy.
A wonderful atmospheric place. A small foyer. A small hall. We bought tickets online - a friend paid with a Georgian card. The performance was in Georgian with simultaneous translation into Russian - headphones were given. If you like a philosophical Georgian view of the world with elements of absurdity and humor, you are welcome here. We watched the Georgian version of the Lady with Camellias. The interior is beautiful!
A very interesting place to visit with an advanced local expert guide👍 We had a David who colorfully told us about all the secrets and secrets. Just watching a free show in the tower at 12 and 19 o'clock is not enough, you must definitely find out about all the details. Then we went with him on a tour of the courtyards of Tbilisi for about 3 hours.
I attended Ramona's performance, an amazing puppet show, a very touching love story, if someone is afraid of not knowing the language, there are headphones with translation. I recommend it, a chamber atmosphere, a small very cozy hall.
This is a miracle, one of the main attractions of modern Tbilisi. It's hard to describe - you have to see for yourself. The puppets are real, one might say alive. Both joy and sadness. Life. It is better to buy tickets in advance.
A wonderful production and a magical atmosphere that is difficult to convey in words. You should definitely visit this theater if you come to Tbilisi. But you need to buy tickets in advance through the theater's website, since at the box office before the performance, most likely everything will already be sold out.
A magic point on the city map. If you want to go to the performance on the tower, the one at 12:00 and 19:00 - Do not be late, the figures are shown on time and very quickly
I am very glad that I went to the puppet theater. There is a simultaneous translation from Georgian into Russian, for English-speaking tourists and speakers. I'm impressed.
It's a very nice place. I've wanted to get in for a long time, but I've never had tickets in fact. This time we bought it in advance and got there!
A small theater, headphones with translation are provided, the staff is very friendly.
A colorful theater! However, it does not cost cheap 70 GEL. It didn't really come to choose the play, I went for what it was. The play was in the style of mimino. I liked the game of actors and dolls. The play was in Georgian, and headphones with a translation into Russian were given at the entrance. There are performances twice a day, the hall was full, although not small.

One of the most magical and friendly places in Tbilisi. Rezo Gabriadze lives in his fabulous tower at the entrance, every detail of the theater's interior and his texts. Caring, hospitable, wonderful theater.
We were only nearby, we looked at the clock :) In general, considering that the center is relatively small, you need to go in. Since you are in Tbilisi. Recommended
This tower does not fall, it was built that way! That's what our guide told us)
The structure is new despite its deceptively ancient appearance. This is the tower of the puppet theater. Every hour an angel comes out of the upper window and strikes the bell with a hammer as many times as it is time.
And at 12 o'clock the whole performance begins: figures leave the lower window. They tell the story of human life in five short scenes.
We weren't at the actual performance, the theater was on tour (so we were told). They were satisfied with the appearance. An interesting architectural structure. It seems that it is about to fall apart. An entertaining mini performance on the clock during the battle. An atmospheric place!
Tips for those who will go for the first time.
If possible, choose seats on the second third row - no higher.
Before the performance begins, you do not need to look at the clock striking on the tower. Come right into the hall. All the performances are in Georgian and if you linger on the square, you may not have enough audio translator. It is not very convenient to watch performances and read a running text in English.
If you want to feel like a child and a wise adult at the same time, take a look at this theater. The magic of puppet control and the depth of the productions may surprise you.
Yandex does not allow you to view the full name of the object. Well, like everywhere else. We have elections like this. I understand that the Rezo Gabriadze Theater. Delight and more delight. This phone chopped up with an axe is super
We did not visit the theater itself, we watched a mini-performance of dolls on the street, they leave the top of the tower to the sound of the clock and music, the performance begins at the end of every hour, if I'm not mistaken, from 12 to 16, but this is not accurate, check on the Internet
I have long dreamed of getting into this theater. Expectations were met by 💯%. The atmosphere, the performance and the hall itself are at a high level. Bravo!
