Родник - правый исток речки Яранда, правого притока реки Узнезя. Высота над уровнем моря 850 метров. В роднике хорошая вода, пригодна как питьевая, можно набрать воды перед подъёмом на гору Ахташ. Вокруг родника и по течению ручья болотистые места, можно провалиться в грязь. Есть дрова и места под палатки.
