A magnificent church built back in the 12th century. Beautiful ornaments, exquisite architectural excesses, inside the famous stained glass rose. Now, of course, the church has been rebuilt in the spirit of the late Gothic, but the features of the Romanesque style still remain in the bell tower. It is located next to the Louvre Museum and the best Parisian five-star hotel Le Meurice. It was the parish church for the courtiers and other residents of the Louvre. The church is famous for the fact that it is believed that its bells gave the signal for the beginning of St. Bartholomew's Night, when more than 3,000 Huguenots were slaughtered in Paris. An incredibly beautiful church. It can be viewed in a classic painting by Claude Monet.

A luxurious church with stained glass windows on a former temple near the local Central Department Store ( Samaritan). It is ideal for meditation in the heat and during the invasion of tourists on the neighboring streets. The house church of Catherine de' Medici and other unfortunate inhabitants of the Louvre from the time of St. Bartholomew's Night. It is infamous for its bell, like the Aurora in St. Petersburg or the Frontal Place in Moscow. In the 12th and 14th centuries, it occupied almost half of the block.Until it was looted and turned into a police station.Flaming Gothic with a story.

Saint-Germain-l’Auxeroi is an ancient church located in the heart of Paris, opposite the Louvre, on the right bank of the Seine, and one of the oldest religious buildings in the city. Its history goes back to the early Middle Ages, when there was a small temple on this site dedicated to Saint Herman of Auxerre, a bishop of the IV century, revered as a miracle worker and protector from disasters. The first mention of the church dates back to the 9th century, but in its modern form the building was formed between the 12th and 16th centuries, reflecting the layering of Gothic, Renaissance and later architectural influences. The church served as the parish church of the kings of France who lived in the Louvre, and the bell sounded here, which on August 24, 1572, heralded the beginning of St. Bartholomew's Night — the mass and tragic extermination of the Huguenots. This event forever linked Saint-Germain-l’Auxeroi is from one of the darkest pages of French history. There is a special atmosphere inside — a synergy of silence, coolness and subtle smells of incense, candles and ancient stones – the space itself is filled with the memory of centuries. Local legends say that at night in the temple you can hear the hum of an ancient bell, the echoes of St. Bartholomew's Night or the footsteps of monks who disappeared along with the past centuries. There is also a belief that secret passages still exist in the dungeons connecting the Louvre and the church. Some researchers believe that the architectural proportions of Saint-Germain-l’Auxeroi are not accidental — they relate to sacred geometry, where each arch and stained glass create a resonance with certain frequencies of sound and light, causing a feeling of mystical peace. This indestructible church as a symbol of an inextinguishable connection – from the origins of Paris with its magical power and attractiveness, with its secrets to the modern era, with the increasing pace of change and insatiable consumerism
