We drank a lot of Georgia)))
We went to the end of October, for school holidays, and chose the hotel because of the indoor pool (it was critical for the child), a warm sauna (when buying tickets in advance, the good weather was questionable), and the location (cable car, bus stops, bus station, sea - everything is nearby).
For once, nothing is so good. But they wouldn't have come back here for sure.
The situation around is slightly depressing. Busy, crowded (in November!!!) and dirty. In the hotel itself (and we lived in a suite!) everywhere something is broken, broken, leaking. There is no cleaning. They didn't even make the beds…
The breakfasts are quite meager, the same thing every day (boiled eggs, fresh cucumber and tomato, bread, pickled cheese, soy sausage, sausages, porridge (hercules or buckwheat), cottage cheese, yogurt, jam, milk (sometimes ran out). On the third day, I saw a cockroach on the table with food - my appetite disappeared completely.
The pool is not a hotel pool, but a public training pool! Therefore, it was possible to find a free path only during the day. It is inconvenient with a child - all the time you need to make sure that high-speed swimmers do not touch him. The Jacuzzi is slimy!!! and cold (the water is a couple of degrees warmer than in the pool). One of the advantages of the pool is the view of the sea and Primorsky Boulevard.
I'm not exaggerating or finding fault - I wrote everything as it is.
The price was about the same intourist, I really regret that we did not take it…
And also - VERY noisy! Both day and night! The air conditioning or the nearby road does not subside for a minute!
On excursions: we took mountain Adjara (3 waterfalls, a bridge and a fortress) - we traveled around everything in 4 hours. I liked everything except the price and the silence of the guide, who turned out to be just a driver. We went to the Botanical Garden ourselves, by bus 10 (which, by the way, we took from the airport). It's very nice there, but we didn't expect to walk so much! Tip - stock up on food during the off-season, the cafe is only at the beginning and end of the park, you will not get a snack along the way.
We had lunch and dinner in cafes, restaurants and canteens all over Batumi - with varying success. I really liked it only in the Heart of Batumi, but you often don't go there - the prices are Moscow. There I advise you to take Shkmeruli (chicken in creamy garlic sauce) and some kind of side dish for two (we ordered a delicious baked Eggplant - also for two :) Lunch for three cost us from 15 (in cheburechnaya) to about 100 lari.
And on the penultimate day, we found the Hellas cafe very close to the hotel, and I boldly and strongly recommend it, it is only two blocks away. Small, but cozy. The menu includes Georgian, Greek and Russian cuisine (thank heaven! the child finally ate his fill))) - soups, delicious borscht, cutlets, salads (even a herring under a fur coat!) And it's very budget - lunch for three with wine - 35-45 lari.
And just behind Hellas, on the same street, there is an excellent European pastry shop Dona with gorgeous desserts at ridiculous prices (from 2 to 9 lari for cakes, pies, baklava, etc.). I recommend Dubai chocolate.
While the rains were pouring down on cold Moscow, we enthusiastically walked around the city and by the sea, basked in the sun (the weather did not let us down!) and admired the sunsets. Thank you, Batumi))
For a beach holiday, I hope now we will come to the suburbs, in season. See you soon, Georgia!
It was November 22nd. It was getting colder slowly, about 15 degrees at best and constant rains, as if I hadn't left St. Petersburg :))) So, about the hotel market. It is located on the 4th floor of a multi-level market. You can't call it a shopping center, it's a market. The rooms are as dead as possible, smoky and with rodents running around on the ceiling. I'm not exaggerating! View of the roofs of the semi-ruins and the old town. Heating is only a condiment, which is not enough. Meager breakfasts in my case were included. And they included a small set of products: sausage, cheese, boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and sometimes porridge or scrambled eggs. Coffee and milk were often missing from the breakfast menu, and in the end, tomatoes and cucumbers. It would seem that you work in the market, go down the floor below and buy, but no, it's obvious. Another one of the canteen jokes: the staff is constantly chatting, shouting across the hall, so there are simply no quiet places in the hotel; some guy, an athlete, was trolled twice in front of me. Either his shorts are too short, or he took too many cutlets.... What's your business, how much does he eat and what does he wear?!? Okay, not everything is so terrible! It's just that village people work here who have never seen anything in their lives and this bedbug seems like paradise to them :) On the positive side: there is a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna and a gym. Well, the Ukrainian administrator did well. She has to pull everything herself, otherwise the hotel will completely turn into a market :)) Oh yes, all this disappointment cost me $700/month because of the hype. If it cost $ 200, I would understand, but 700…
Excellent hotel, large rooms, air conditioning. Excellent service. Hearty breakfast buffet. For those staying at the hotel, free access to the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and gym, which are located on the 5th floor directly above the hotel. I do not know the cost, most likely it is not expensive. I was at the hotel on a tour trip. I liked it, I recommend it.
The rooms are clean, bright, and modern. Wi-Fi works perfectly and is quite fast. there are many Russian channels. there are very nice and friendly guys at the reception who will always help and prompt. the huge pool on the top floor (free of charge) for the residents of the hotel is the best find you can find.
The hotel is very nice.Thank you to the staff for their attentive and friendly attitude towards vacationers! A huge plus is that you can drink tea, coffee and use dishes at any time. The breakfasts are delicious and hearty, there are snacks and hot dishes, including porridge. The rooms are clean, the bed and towels are snow-white. The pool is great!
I'm lowering the asterisk for the view from the window. Since the hotel is located in a shopping complex, my negative impressions do not directly relate to the hotel, but garbage containers, broken steps, a lot of garbage at the entrance to the shopping mall is through the chur. The sea is really a three-minute walk from the hotel, but it takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach. These are everyday trifles.
Georgia has taken a place in my heart!
Check-in from 14:00 earlier, no way
Breakfast starts at 9:00, if you need to leave earlier, ask for a lunch box in advance. In principle, at 8 a.m. you can drink coffee.
The hotel is located on the fourth floor of the Batumi Plaza shopping center.
The rooms are clean. There is a balcony. WiFi is fast. In general, it's great to spend another night.
