The place is quite big and there are many areas that are left wild and many others that are not accessible because of dangers of various types (usually fall of materials). Though, the paths can take you away from the noises of the city, to be surrounded mainly by the ever present singing of cicadas. Some views from above are amazing and, for about the garden, what I enjoyed the most was the part close to the river and the waterfall which is better kept. At the end of the visit you might wish to take the cable car from mother Georgia to go back to town.

The Tbilisi Botanical Garden is a must-visit! It is very large and amazingly beautiful, there are many interesting trees growing there, and due to the fact that the garden is located in a gorge and on its slopes, you will walk through several climatic zones in 2-3 hours, see completely different landscapes, including wonderful views of Tbilisi. The entrance costs only GEL 4, so you won't find cafes and luxurious landscaping on the territory, there aren't too many benches in the far parts of the park, and most importantly, there aren't enough information signs about trees, and those signs that exist haven't been updated for a long time.: they're burnt out and hard to read. But for GEL 4, a walk through such a wonderful park is a mandatory item of the program, so I'm not taking off the star: the price-quality ratio is adequate.

Go here only in comfortable shoes. The walk is long and difficult for some. If you walk along the main path, you will walk for a long time, and if you sometimes walk along inconspicuous almost perpendicular to the main paths, you can find not only an apiary, century-old redwoods and slightly abandoned areas, but also walk faster through the park. There are many dogs on the territory that seem to accompany visitors. There are a lot of places where you can relax in the shade and enjoy the views. Don't forget about the hats, the sun seems to be frying from all sides.

Beautiful garden. Flowers, fountains, Japanese zone - class! There are a lot of drinking fountains, but not all of them work. There is a lot of space under restoration for April 2026. We didn't understand how you can drive electric cars - they drive past strollers and don't pick up ... maybe the situation is different in the season.

It's just an incredible place... I walked there for a very long time, enjoying nature. The views are amazing. I recommend coming in the morning or afternoon, as the sun illuminates nature very beautifully. It was already a little dark in the afternoon. The garden itself has water fountains, toilets, and signs.

However, height differences may be difficult for some, but it's just ridiculous when you talk about Georgia. Of course, there are a lot of insects and wildlife. You can meet a viper in the pond, frogs, beautiful birds, small dogs, and there is also a secret place with a group of wonderful kittens.:} On the downside: Half of the fountains are not working. When we were in Tbilisi, we decided to go to the botanical garden. Overall, we liked it. Entrance is paid. The garden is large and beautiful, and you can safely walk along the trails, get some fresh air, visit a giant sequoia tree, and wet your feet in a mountain stream. We walked through the park to the statue of "Mother Georgia". We had a good walk. The view from the mountain where the statue stands is all over Tbilisi. Nicely.

The Tbilisi Botanical Garden is located in the gorge between the mountains. It's easy to get into it right from the center of the old town near the famous Tiflis baths. You climb along the ancient buildings and enter another world. The noise of the city disappears, giving way to birdsong and the roar of a waterfall. The air is thick and humid from the riot of blooming greenery, pine needles and a mountain river. You walk along the path: here are slender cypresses like candles, here are prickly cacti, here is sea buckthorn and here is a waterfall. You raise your head and through the foliage you see the fortress of Narikala, the ancient guardian of the city. This is a magnificent place where history and nature are intertwined in one frame.

A large and well-maintained garden with many scenic views. Convenient location near Old Tbilisi and tourist routes. It is better to walk through the garden from top to bottom from the Mother Georgia monument to the main entrance. The height difference in the garden is quite large and walking this route will make you much less tired. Few people get to the far (southern) part of the park, and if you want privacy, go up to the greenhouses.

A delightful park with lots of different areas. I remember the waterfall and the bamboo grove the most. It is very convenient to enter from the top of the mountain (next to the Mother Georgia monument, you need to walk a little ahead), and then go down the stairs, turn right to the bamboo and return along the lower part of the garden leading to the sulfur baths - so you don't have to go uphill. It takes at least an hour and a half or two to visit, and it's better to take a snack with you, since there are no food outlets here.

There are snakes in the garden. I showed the photo to the locals. I was told that it is a viviparous snake and it is possible that it is venomous.

What a huge potential this place has, what a wonderful nature! But there is a lack of grooming and human responsibility. Many tracks are in poor condition. Sometimes you walk along the route for a long time and come to a dead end, although there were no signs. Some of the facilities are closed, whether for reconstruction or permanently, it is unclear. The terrain is mountainous, get ready to walk up and down a lot. You need to buy a ticket at the ticket counter at the entrance. Visiting the garden provides you with leisure time for several hours for sure. Go to the fountain, it's beautiful!

We were in the park in February. The entrance to the park behind the funicular is closed due to a rockfall. You can enter from the Mother Georgia side (a little further behind her) or from the left side of the Narekala fortress. I advise you to take a map at the entrance, because the network was missing in the park and it was not immediately possible to understand your location. Drinking fountains were very common, and I consider this a plus. There are very beautiful waterfalls and the nature of the park in general. You can exit the park only through the entry points. There were no employees inside the park who could help with the route. We stopped at the Narekala fortress and, after walking through the park, got out at the top at Mother Georgia. Overall, the impression is positive.

Oh, this is an amazing place in general and for residents of the low plains especially. The garden is a deep gorge, with a rock on one side (and Mother Georgia at the top), and on the other slope everything is tropical and growing. Well, there's a river with a waterfall right there. In some places, there is a mountain forest with paths, and there are well-groomed flower beds of a regular park. The height difference is large. I advise you to start at the top entrance, climb to the top, and exit through the bottom.

There is a huge Botanical Garden in the center of Tbilisi on the mountain, as well as the Mother Georgia monument and an ancient fortress (currently under reconstruction). There is a cable car leading up. There are many cabins, open until 12 at night, at a cost like public transport. A beautiful oasis in the center of Tbilisi! Very nice, well-groomed and atmospheric! There are a lot of different plants in the garden, cozy alleys for walking. The most wonderful experiences. Amazing views. The botanical garden has a waterfall, a fountain, a small pond with fish, Moorish gazebos, and a Japanese garden. The garden offers a beautiful view of the Narikala Fortress. The ticket price is GEL 4. Of the cons:there is no water in the Japanese garden, everything is somehow unkempt. It was great in 2019.
