Moraca Monastery, Montenegro This trip was rich in some spontaneous routes that turned out to be very interesting. As in this case, we just decided to go for a ride in the mountains, having accidentally stumbled upon a monastery. As it turned out, it is one of the most significant sights of Montenegro. 🇲🇪 It is located high in the mountains. The views are breathtaking. There is a timeless feeling here: an old, cozy monastery courtyard, a river murmuring, birds singing... They say about such places: salted. It's a very peaceful, fertile place. The monastery of Moraca was built in the 13th century. The main Church of the Assumption of the Virgin was built in 1252. Today it is an active religious site, which is visited by tourists and pilgrims. The facility is built in the Russo-Byzantine style — laconic and strict. The monastery in Montenegro can be visited all year round — it is constantly open. Religious tourists and those who want to see the unique legacy left by their predecessors come here. For years, time has left no traces in these places. Monks continue to live a simple, unpretentious life like their predecessors. And again, it was lucky that our trip was out of season. There are crowds here during the warmer months. And in November, it was just us - in silence, tranquility and peace. ⛪

It is a very cozy and warm place. We were brought to the monastery of Moracha with an escort. Beautiful and well-maintained territory. The photos turned out to be very beautiful. Unfortunately, they give us little time and we did not have time to visit the temple and see the frescoes. I recommend the Moracha Monastery to visit.
