There was a nuance on the road that was not written in any map: when driving from T1 Sultanahmet station at the Cevislibag stop, you need to get off the tram and walk ten steps to the neighboring tram tracks — there the road continues on another tram. It is not written about this transfer anywhere. We only figured it out when almost the entire carriage got off at this stop. The tram goes back without a transfer. As for the Merter shopping district itself: This is a lot of two- or three-story beautiful shops that sell clothes in bulk from ten pieces. So when we came to buy jeans at 2Y Premium (my husband is a fan of this Turkish brand), I was surprised why four sellers followed us at once and offered us tea. They thought we were wholesalers from Moscow. As a result, we found the Mojito retail store at 44A Kasim Street, Mehmet Nesih Ozmen Mahalle, Istanbul, Gungeren, and had a great time shopping there. And then we went down, overgrown with shopping bags, along the Shair Akhmet Kutsi Tejer shopping street, on both sides of which there are retail stores, and took the T1 tram from the Zeytinburnu stop to the hotel. Now we know where the shopping is! 😁👍 By the way, it was after this twenty-thousand-step walk that my husband's Ralf Ringer genuine leather sneaker tore from above his thumb. 🤣 Istanbul is such an Istanbul. 🥰 Later, when we had an excess weight in our suitcase, we left these leaky sneakers at IST airport.
