Terrible and inhumane experience at Tbilisi Airport. We arrived as a Turkish-Dutch family with our 15-month-old baby for a normal family holiday. My wife and child were allowed through, but I was taken aside without any meaningful explanation. No one asked about our hotel, return ticket, insurance, money or travel purpose. After waiting, I was told the decision came from the “Ministry”, the reason was “confidential”, and the only vague reason given was “other reason”. Within about 45 minutes, we were sent back to Ankara on the same aircraft, without a proper chance to contact the Turkish Embassy and without basic humane treatment for a family with a baby. Our two large checked suitcases were not returned with us either. We lost thousands of euros in flights, hotels, villa reservations, car rental, insurance, eSIM and onward travel plans. After arriving back in Ankara, Turkish border/customs staff told us that similar cases involving Turkish citizens happen frequently. Visa-free does not mean predictable or fair treatment here. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend travelling to Georgia through Tbilisi Airport, especially for Turkish families.

Comfortable place, clean organised, not very far from capital, good duty free zone, comfortable business lounges. Not too big, so cannot get lost ))

The airport has all you need. Food, free internet, WC, shops, SIM cards, money exchange. The only negative point is the fact that the seats seems not to be enough in peak times, so there is a dispute for places.
