🏨 Le Méridien Batumi - More than a hotel, it’s a landmark with a story 1. Tallest building in Batumi This hotel is inside the famous Batumi Tower, the tallest building in the city - about 200 meters high. You can see it from almost anywhere in Batumi. 2. The spire with a sail On top of the tower is a long mast (about 85 meters) with a sail-shaped design. It looks like a dream or a ship sailing into the sky. Many locals call it the “Batumi sail” - a symbol of the city’s modern style. 3. Mini Ferris wheel (not working) On the 27th floor, there’s a small Ferris wheel built into the building facade - very unique! It has 8 cabins and was meant to give amazing views of the sea. But it never worked properly. The wheel was too complex to operate safely, and the building is in a seismic zone, so engineers had concerns. 4. Before it became a hotel The tower was first built in 2012 for Batumi Technological University. But the university never opened. The building stood empty for years until it was sold in 2015 and redesigned as a hotel. 5. Who built it The building was designed by Hausart Project and originally funded by the Georgian government. Later, Red-Co Ltd took over and transformed it into Le Méridien hotel, which officially opened in 2018. 6. Design and dream The whole building looks futuristic - glass, curves, and the sail on top. It’s like a dream of Batumi’s future. The design mixes European elegance with seaside fantasy. Inside, the hotel has 110 rooms, a spa, pool, and casino. It looks like a beautiful hotel in a great location, but in fact it's a real horror. The building is adjacent to the Batumi Tower apartment building, and it is impossible to get to the house due to parked hotel cars. When the "star" guests arrive, it is impossible to enter and exit, because the crowds of schoolchildren simply regenerate the path. Well, the cherry on the cake is a DJ's concert by the pool from 23 to 4 in the morning. The noise level is over 50 db, it is impossible for either adults or children to sleep, and the hotel staff simply shrug their shoulders. And this is at a price per night of more than 40 thousand rubles! In any case, I do not recommend this hotel, they do not care about the comfort of their guests.

The worst hotel in the world! With great disrespect for people. It's night time, and they've turned on the music so that you can't hear each other in the room. A little child has woken up from fear! No one wants to take responsibility. They have a holiday for 1 (one!!!) The table! I don't advise anyone to stay here!!!

The windows overlooked the Radisson and two cafes, where live music was playing on Fri and Sat and even through the thick windows it could be heard. But not critically. We swam in the pool and warmed up in the hammam, a separate thrill. The staff understands Russian and can speak it personally. But only English on the phone (wiretapping?). Courteous administrators are ready to help and smile a lot, but sometimes they confuse and forget about requests. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

On the plus side - breakfast impresses with a variety of dishes, everything is fresh and delicious - a double bed in a room more than two meters wide with a good mattress and fresh linen - the hotel is in the very center, everything is nearby - there is free parking for guests, it was important to us, we arrived by car One of the disadvantages is that the staff is relaxed, there is no feeling that you are in an international hotel chain. They confuse and forget everything all the time. There was only one bathrobe in the room, there was no toilet brush and hygienic shower - get out of the situation as you want…There are also no one-time sets of toothbrushes, toothpastes, etc., although this is a mandatory element for 5*. There was also little drinking water in the room. There was no hot water in the faucet. The phone in the room was disconnected from the power supply and discharged. We went downstairs, asked to bring a bathrobe, drinking water, and solve the problem with hot water. As a result, the bathrobe was never brought, the hot water went. The next day, 3 bathrobes were brought, but they did not bring water - in a word, a mess ..., although everyone is smiling sweetly and wants to help. At breakfast, the staff does not clean the dirty dishes on time. When she began to interfere with us, they moved it to the next table. So she was standing there before we left, no one tried to remove her. We've been there since the morning, there was no one else but us. There is simply no control and format - they work as they will . They don't offer coffee, you go to the coffee machine yourself. Of course, you can ignore these little things, but when you pay $ 320 for a room, you would like to receive 5* standard services.

We came here, everything seemed to be OK, we wanted to take a bath, but as it turned out, the bathroom was dirty, the sink was all stained. The girl at the reception said "the room was clean" ok, clean so clean. We sent cleaning, now we sit and watch how our room is cleaned and my husband and I can't rest normally.
